Broski. He did that shit LIVE. His rapping is crisp and heard right. My ears feel like they be ringing!
sort of.. the vocal track we're actually hearing is a playback of a recorded take from before the show went to air. still impressive nonetheless, but there are several parts where it is blatantly obvious that he is lip syncing to a pre-recorded track. and please understand that I say this with absolutely zero disrespect, I still find it to be super impressive because the vocal track is in fact a live recording. that is definitely not the studio vocal track. In the performance, Kendrick even seems to acknowledge it at about 3:07 when he flashes the message on the wall that says "YEA WE STILL PLAYING INDUSTRY POLITICS".
@@jamesd.6979 That's just part of the adlibs.
Dude, I'm an Audio Engineer. It is not "part of the adlibs". lol I have no reason whatsoever to make this up.@@GabrielSilva-yz6qd
This man is not just a rapper, he's the greatest artiste / performer of our generation.
Ye’s old performances rival for sure but I’d say it’s close, also ye produces so I’d probably give him the edge personally
@@WILLINGLYWILD that's fair, he's the only rapper I'd probably give the edge as well
First rapper to have a Pulitzer, he made history.
@@uravidlistener kendrick top 3 alive easily I’d say, to me personally Ye is too it’s the third I can’t decide on, I’m thinking as far as message and performance skill/ability, maybe J Cole?
Best live performer is travis scott😮💨
Man, I keep coming back to this. Such an amazing piece of art.
So happy I'm going back to listen to this album again and again and again. Classic.
yeah for sure. this is album is amazing
Never really paid much attention to Kendrick even though I know the name, just checking out a bunch of stuff because of the Drake thing.
Holy shit this guy's good.
Genius

@@gray4675Checked it 3 weeks ago. I'm in love.
Welcome In!!! :)
@@gray4675 If anyone hasn't seen his performance of These Walls on Ellen, thats great too
Yeah that was dope. One of the rare unskipable SNL performances
He's so refined. The most seamless, intentional artistry. Wow.
facts!
Refined, seamless, intentional. That was an excellent way to describe this ❤
Everything from the shadow work and then the use of light staying on tempo with the song, this is why I keep listening to you Kendrick. So well thought out produced works of art.
how could something so simple be so marvelously over the top?!
This may be one of my favorite SNL music guest performances. Kendrick was on FIRE.
He's such a well rounded entertainer.
Saw his concert this past summer. Used that shadow ‘trick’ so effectively. Brilliant.
This man is a real artist
This performance is immaculate ✨✨✨
My favorite line in this song “you entertaining yo friends when they toxic” something I learned to stop doing! I like how his performance symbolizes trying to be in the spotlight will cause you to lose yourself! Awesome performance!!
“You entertain ‘old friends’, when they toxic”
What yo life like? Bullshit and gossip.
this man is the only artist that can make a performance so simple but also full of meaning !!! I’m so happy I got to experience his art in my lifetime
Kendrick Lamar is the greatest of all time, and we are witnessing it here!
He's not the GOAT. But he's great though. You guys throw this GOAT thing out too easily
@@MFGTV89 nah he is
@@MFGTV89 cry more old head

Fan of rap or not....surely you can appreciate this dude's talent

100 percent man, not huge into rap like alot of old school rap but mostly a metal head but this man’s talent is untouchable
I’m mostly I fan of rock and metal, but I love Kendrick
His most slept on album!!!
MR. MORALE ALBUM IS SO FIRE! The whole thing. It’s therapeutic and it bangs in the car.
I liked this song (rich spirit) since the first day the album dropped! It’s just so beautiful.
Seeing this man on tour was one of the best things I’ve ever witnessed.
Defo quote 🫶🏻
Agreed I saw him on the DAMN tour 🤌🏾🤌🏾top tier
I loved kendrick before seeing him live. Now I'm getting emotional when some songs start. Brings me back to the live show, amazing performance, amazing venue, amazing everything. GOAT
How he's running into the light and it tries to evade him, the messages on the wall. The things he says to stobe light. It's almost "de-hypnotizing"... Powerful and the best thing I've seen in while.
