    I am so happy your subscribers grown to a point where you can actually produce more content and have a decent creators life. Love your new video clips with you consuming/using technology, those candid moments of your amazement really add the flair to how an experience could feel like. Massively improving your content lately. Keep going, you will do so well.

    As a German, I find it to be kind of ironic to pay extra money if I want to buy phones which camera systems were co-developed by a German optics company (Leica, Zeiss). Really sad that EUs regulation madness keeps me from buying the phone from a German distributor and instead forces me to import it haha. Anyway I love it that you are unbiased towards Chinese manufacturers, I love seeing their highly innovative and exciting products, the "western" manufactures have become a little lackluster lately

    Awesome video, Ben! I like that more phones are starting to implement a closer focusing distance on their closer range telephoto cameras. I've been enjoying it on the S23 Ultra 3x telephoto, but this 13 Pro looks like it has an even closer proximity.

    Always look out for your reviews if I'm buying a new phone so thanks for the video. I managed to get my hands on one here in the UK for £630 from Ali Express, they declared it as an LCD screen worth $47 so no tax to pay. I was lucky, if they'd opened it to check I would have had to pay around £150-£175 in taxes. It's a great phone especially at the price I paid.

    great reivew. the addition of the portrait lense is great. was a huge thing on the x90 pro+ - that camera system is so complete where as the 12s ultra was the amazing main sensor and not much else (poor supporting lenses).
    i just sold my x90 pro+. the haptics suck n as an every day phone i way prefer Xiaomi. camera was incredible tho.

    I'm still using my green Xiaomi 11 Pro (almost 2 years now - longest lasting phone I've had in the last decade), I'm still loving it and if I don't catch a "too good to be true" offer for the Xiaomi 13 Pro this summer, I plan to keep it until Xiaomi 14 Pro. Apart from some minor screen burn-in in the status bar and bottom left corner, it still locks and feels like new. I can't remember when I've loved a phone so much so late into ownership. My only "complaint" is the software update schedule (I'm still on MIUI13, but as MIUI 14 mostly brings optimizations in Europe, it's not that much of a big deal). Anyway, I like Xiaomi 13 Pro (still can't decide if the green or the white one) very much and as you say and seem to be impressed by it, it seems to address the only weak point in most phones: the telephoto camera.

      I also have a Mi 11 Pro. One of my favorite phones of all time. The screen, haptics and smoothness are still compable to flagship from 2022/2023. Actually feels smoother than my Pixel 7 Pro but the Pixel has a way better camera in low light. For this reason, I still prefer P7Pro as a daily driver.

    Hey great review as usual. I narrowed down my search to this, 13 ultra, now i wait on the sony xperia 1 v. What are your thoughts on this vs the 13 ultra? Is the camera significantly better? I think sony is going to hit a home run with the 1 v. We shall see. Oh can you link me to that phone case and neck strap thingy. Lol. Thanks bro. Keep up the good work.c

    • @bensgadgetreviews
      @bensgadgetreviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      The camera is NOT significantly better. The ultra only has a slightly longer zoom. So if you care about 10x, 20x photos then ultra is better. Otherwise the variable aperture is sort of gimmicky

    Long ago used Xiaomi (at the era of KitKat) devices because they were value for money. After that they lost competiton for miui buggy software update or no update at all. Also customer service was very poor. Few of my friends had purchased 12s ultra and with hardware problems they couldn't fix it up with service centre help and all of them are switched to Samsung or apple like me now.

    My favourite non-Ultra phone so far. It is £1099 in the UK, similar to the S23+ but has the significant advantage of 12GB of RAM versus the S23+, which only has 8GB, therefore is a big deal for me as my app usage is around 8GB of RAM.
    The S23U is £300 more for the 12GB version, so the XIAOMI 13 Pro may be worth saving if you are not an s-pen user. I will see what OPPO offers; the Find X6 Pro has ColorOS, my number one UI.
