Great to see your channel is popping off! I mentioned it before, but the quality of these vids is just there on all fronts. I like mechanical keyboard content but I feel like you could honestly make videos about anything and it would be super worth watching.
As much as I love the idea... 1. I don't really support RAMA's current work ethics and price point... 2. As mucha s mute mounts are interesting, JWK moulds as of late do not really require films, or in this case...mute pads. there may be acoustic variances by the addition but they're not necessary as far as their functions as pre-installed film goes. 3. These are JWKs, and unless you want to RAMA everything in your build I don't think it at all makes sense to buy these, esp if it's international. Buying alternatives like Poseidon switches or other JWK long poles are probably a good, if not better idea. that's just my take though, great video, nice style, and aspect ratio, I enjoyed the video very much, ponker bless!
I'm pretty sure these are manufactured by Gateron, not JWK. Other than that, yeah, all valid points. $1+ for long pole linears that you can get analogues of for a quarter of the price just doesn't make sense. Not to mention all the drama surrounding communication and the breakoff with Kate/HIBI. Wouldn't really recommend these to anyone for those reasons
@@stidal9562 drama about kate and hibi is not the problem, it's the current lack of transparency with Thermal GB progress with questionable procedures, another questionable gatekeeping on Metal artisan reproduction, and their prohibition of producing second or third round of artisans, and the downfall of rama in between 2020-2021 that just kills all incentive to buy RAMA keebs for me.
@@stidal9562 i read a tad bit on theremin and realised this mistake, thanks for letting me know! despite being gateron, the clear pc top gat switches never sounded good to me. Neither do these switches. i'll pass, hahah.
I am so stoked for what your content is already bringing to the community. And you’ve got me considering an order of these for my Frog, not that you intended for that. But your reaction has me very interested.
Your channel actually deserves more subscribers. I love your production quality and the aesthetics of your videos are sooo on point. I subscribed to you when you only had 500 subs and i fell in love with your style of making videos. Keep up the amazing work!
wow I found this channel through the RAMA channel and I love your style of videography. The changing formats, the grain, the music, really nice to watch. Subbed
If you like these switches, I think you'll really like both the Gateron Vermilion Birds and the Gateron Azure Dragons. They are sibling switches, linear and tactile, that both use longer two stage springs :)
agree on the double stage spring bit.. in my instance, once i tried them (ttc wild) i never went back to regular springs. i can see more switch manufacturers making double stage the default
The thing you said about regular springs is true. Ever since I tried out 2 stage springs, I can't go back anymore. The typing experience is definitely more fun.
I've always had good communication with Rama Works. I don't understand other people's issues. I had an issue with a PCB 1 year after buying it and they were helpful troubleshooting it and sending a free replacement. I've been in 5 group buys with no issues.
NEW AVI VIDEO!! I found you content from the QK65 video, when I was deciding whether to go for Zoom or the QwertyKeys (that Lilac Zoom won out in the end), but your proffessional production and incredible voice and excellent soundtracking - it's incredible.
Ayyy I'm so glad man! I just got my hands on a Zoom too, gonna be featured in my next vid. Keen to hear your thoughts! Thanks for the kind words too, really appreciate it man
Sounds like long poles are the way to go for the frog. I soldered hyperglides into my frog but I think I’m going to have to put something long pole like a tungsten.
hyperglides really shine with a spring swap, so if you havent done that please do that.(the stock springs are pretty bad) because the weight of the mx blacks is really heavy, it also becomes really quiet and kinda muffles the true sound of the switch
Another great video Avi - love the style. Looking forward to seeing your channel take off. Thanks for the hard work. I bought these too, and I'm very excited to try them out, especially the two-stage spring. Going to go great with the U80 and a PC plate I think. Really impressed with the stock sound.
I as well do not like the bottom out feel of long pole switches. Using them with a half plate or even plateless seems to help though. Great review btw.
thank you boss! nah not for good - i'm sure i'll come back to it at some point. i'm now using my m65b as my main instead of the qk65 and just ported over the stabs and switches haha.

Still waiting for my thermal, it's been a pretty unreasonable amount of time like 450 days, so I'd be weary buying anything from them. These shouldn't be as bad as a keyboard but the amount of bs in the updates for thermal and thermal plus with updates making no logical sense (the cases have been sitting at the factory for 6 mountbs with no explanation and why they have been waiting to order PCBs untill after case production and shipping to Melbourne) along with recent QC problems with jules ect, on top of not being able to cancel orders after 180 days. If you buy from them, you'll be along for the ride, with little to no information, it simply sholdnt take a month to finish basic things the company has already achieved like packaging
It almost feels like i'm watching a Tarantino movie when I watch your videos. Your editing style is something I haven't seen before, and I like it. Keep it up!
