The impact of Vimoh has been other way round as well. I used to be an absolute atheist. Now I am more inclined towards the idea of agnostic atheism. 😅

Agnostic atheism is the proper term for the colloquial use of the word atheism. Agnostic is the word meaning lack of knowledge while atheist means a lack of belief in a god. We are all agnostic atheists meaning we don’t know if a god exists so we don’t believe a god exists. A gnostic atheist is one who knows god DOESN’T exist and therefore doesn’t believe in a god. I think you meant to use the more colloquial term of agnosticism.
As an extension, a gnostic theist is most theists who know for certain that their god exists and therefore they believe in that god. An agnostic theist who is unsure of knowing if a god exists but believe in some sort of deity anyway.

@@rationable there is this book called the Range of Reason which uses words like pseudo atheists and absolute atheists. So pretty similar to what you commented using the term gnostic atheists, I used the term absolute atheist interchangeably with it. Previously, I had a discussion with Vimoh on his channel where I asserted my position which was “God doesn’t exist” is not a claim but a response to the claim by theists that “God exists”. My idea was more on the lines of thesis and anti thesis, claims and counter claims. But then listening to Vimoh’s idea about agnostic atheism and some further readings, I concluded that my position was wrong as I lacked the knowledge to make a claim like “God Doesn’t Exist”. So when you asked in the video that whether Vimoh has been able to make any dent on the ideas related to existence of God, I would say the impact of his videos has not been limited to theists but also to atheists like me who held a wrong position previously and are now inclined towards the correct position of agnostic atheism.

@@FactaClaus Oh wow! I'm so glad to hear that. I commend you for taking that step to reassessing your position. Bravo! And, of course, my respect for @Vimoh grows even more. 👏

I left hinduism behind with help from Dawkins and Hitchens and muslims who left their religion behind - all post 9/11. I got the most help from the rogues gallery of hindu godmen. There is never anything new to learn from their discourses and they all get rich and abuse their power and influence. And keep their diehard believers. But I am so grateful to have found people like you, who make me feel sane, because I live amongst family members who believe deeply. Thank you for what you do.

Idk if this is right to post on here but the long version of whether certain faith is religion or not can be dealt with asking following questions such as:
    • Does it have established belief system passed on through generation?
    • Does it have practicing rituals, enacting ethics, sacredness of objects or things?
    • Have Deistic, Theistic or Polytheistic nature of belief system?
    • Have central mythologies/scriptures? Community and place of worship?
    • People can have Emotional Experiences or Material expression with respect to their beliefs?
If "Yes" is your answer for some or all of these questions...You are a part of some religion.
