I'm convinced yours is the best IB representation. I've copied it, very successfully. The only thing I found slightly improves it, is to split the tail into two, which helps to support the fly. Natural undyed duck CDC works for this pattern.
Again, another pattern that I am sure to try - looks like a fun fly to tie and use. Keep up the good work as my ability has steadily improved watching your videos
Superbe mouche !!! . merci pour tout ces montages merveilleux. Je suis français et je pêche surtout les rivières de montagne , les Pyrénées en particulier. Je trouve le CDC trés vivant et je le mélange souvent aux poils de lièvres. Merci beaucoup Davie.
Beautiful as usual. Catching up the missed video's. I am usually looking for more to see but this month I couldn't keep up, so it is catch up time. All the best to you and yours. Sean
Hi George B, Ice blue would certainly be a good choice as I do like it myself on a few patterns and they work well...I'm glad you liked the fly... All the very best Davie
Hi Antoine De Franco, This is a very good method for winging flies and can be used on many patterns so I would say that you could tye a few versions using this method and compare it to the flies you would normally fish.. All the very best Davie
Hi Colin Macaulay, I was given it as a gift from a friend as he got it from a gamekeeper that collected it for him and it's the first time I've ever seen it..I did a search and found some on the internet so I have attached a link to it for you to see. There's also some other companies by looks of it that are selling some as well.... All the very best Davie www.funkyflytying.co.uk/shop/products/cdc/99/nature-s-spirit-goose-cdc/2157/

Great fly! I haven't come across Goose CDC before. Do you know if it is commercially available, Davie?
