Davie, your voice and videos have become a part of my family. I took up fly tying shortly after the birth of my eldest son in 2010. I found your videos at the same time, and they were so helpful that I watched them repeatedly on my laptop while taking care of my baby. Your voice was incredibly soothing, but more so for my frazzled wife than for anybody else. Every time i started a video, she'd hear your voice and relax. She had absolutely no interest in fly tying and little more in fishing, but she loved hearing your voice and accent. (We're American, though my wife is East Coast, and I'm Great Plains as far as American accents.) I'm lying in a hotel bed in the Black Hills of South Dakota, about to embark on a snow shoeing and deer hunting adventure with my three children. I was playing this video when my daughter (2nd child, now 12) said, "Oh, Dad, is that the Scottish guy? I love his voice." I have nothing more to add, but I suspect that you will appreciate the anecdote. God bless.
Hi janmudder7641, It's very kind of you to let me know how you and your family enjoy watching and listening to me which amazes me though it makes me very happy in many ways that I can do this...I would like to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year and please say hello to your daughter from me and thank her for her kind words.. All the very best Davie..
Ha Ha Couldn't agree more. My wife, who has zero interest in fishing of any style or tying (watching fishhooks as she puts it) knows Davie's voice from another room. She too likes it along with the guitar entry and exit.
The first one Davie reminds me of a fly called ‘the dogs bollocks’ pardon my french a think your one would be dynamite under the indicator aswell as trotted down the river. All the very best 👍🏻🏴👍🏻🏴👍🏻🏴
Davie, essa mosca tem uma produtividade acima do comum, pois pego qualquer peixe com ela, é minha isca coringa, claro não tenho nesta cor, mas é igual.
Braw wee bugs Davie 🐛, I tie a wee cinnamon and gold spider with the gold micro glint for sea trout in the saltwater it works brilliantly, how they pick it out I haven't a clue but it's a brilliant fish catcher
Absolutely brilliant stuff as always Davie sir your skills and knowledge as a flytyer and fly fisherman are second to none
Your very welcome sir
