Regarding the question if the new '23 AWD is faster than the '22 (selectable)4WD, John already mentioned the sequential turbo on the '23 ('22 didn't have that, it had a single turbo)...but the biggest differences that equate to the '23 AWD feeling quicker is mainly the 725.0 9spd transmission, that pairs with the 2.0L I-4 twin-turbo diesel (the '22 4WD had a 722.9 7spd trans and 3.0L V-6 single turbo diesel OM642). -Matrix Integrated (Bend/Portland Oregon)
It's been 4 months since this video was released. How is the AWD doing in regards to sensors/adaptive cruise with the 285/75/R17, still working without issues?
Have you taken this thing off road and given it a try in sand, snow etc etc. want to know if the awd is good for where we are which is dirt roads, logging roads, heavy wet snow, or desert roads, blm. I am refering to one without the lockers put on. i saw your previous video but it seemed a bit slim on those tests. thanks for doing all this reviewing!
So I’m the previous Q&A. The van was pretty much stock and we were quite impressed by its off-road capabilities. Black slider track comes with the T55 (electric door) option. It is also an addable option for manual closing door... not sure what that code it is; refer to 2023 Dealer order guide. Also there is a couple companies selling black slider tracks aftermarket, I think around $300.

Did you have to do any modifications to fit the larger wheels / tires?
Yes we had to do some custom modifications for the 285s we have on them now! But the 275s would work on it!
Now that Reika is producing the SUSI for 3500's would be cool to get some love. A locker for the 3500xd awd would be awesome.
What oil brand / weight do you run in the OM654 engine and what are your change intervals?
Question on the wheel size/ tire what size you feel is optimal for do it all. I'm currently running 265/75/16 on my 23 ... for the past 10k miles. Tks
We run 285s on both of our vans! While it takes some modifications to fit and not rub! We feel like it's totally worth it!

How will the AWD pull through deep sand? We live near the beach and the sand ruts can be 10-12” deep powdery sand sometimes.
Are the black sliding door tack a factory option, or aftermarket?
It would be factory!

Will the stock height clear the 285 75 17, or do you need the 2" lift from the rip kit?
A Rip Kit and also we did some custom work on the fenders to get it to fit!

Just to confirm… Your fitted rims and tyres as shown did not require modification to the inner or outer walls of the wheel well?
Yes we did. We had to add
- Agile Off-road No-Rub mini fenders
- add rear fender clearance modification
-“Massage” the inner lining
