If I win the lottery there are changes I’d make to my van like these. Or-i’d buy a jeep to tow behind it. Until then I’ll be happy going to 90% of the places an upgraded model would take me and drool over the cool kid’s upgrades.

great video. One thing that draws my atention is the overpower you put on Bateries, and the lack of water capacety you have on the van. I have in my Sprinter 200litres of drinking water and 80 liters of grey water storage. I think water is a mayor thing when traveling to unknown places. My humbel opinion. Otherwise i see a superb machine
Thats why we put our state of the art RIP kit on it! Expands the weight limit and actually makes the heavier build outs much smoother on and off the road!

I'm currently wondering if it'd be economically/ logistically feasible to ship the van from Europe to the US and bring it back built. @@Agileoffroad

@@jamestreanor182 i would install the Agile suspention kit anyway for the added support, vehicule behavior, but i was also reffering to insurance, obtaining it and also if we have to use it eventually.

But my other question to you is can the sprinter van / Revel towing capacity be upgraded to be able to tow a 5800 lbs fishing boat? I do a lot of offshore fishing up and down the pacific west coast and wanting to have a class B rec van for my wife and myself. So is this possible. Thx
Maybe look at building out a Ford Transit 350 Ecoboost, dual rear, heavy duty hitch and brake cntrlr. Highest HP and Torque in a van, all Ford factory besides the interior build... We need to hear what John has for the Fords next.

Why sprinters? Diesel, overpriced, maintenance costs, and find someone in Montana to fix it. Simply stop it. Same problem I have with advanced RV in Willoughby Ohio. Well, and the price. Transit is superior to all, unfortunately, challenging to find.
I like the cab roominess and undercarriage of the sprinter which seems best in class for that smooth bottom side for offroad but im leaning to the Ford for the reasons you mentioned. "Theres No replacement for Displacement" or twin turbos in the Transit's case....

The weight of this Sprinter van must be getting close to its maximum allowed weight of 9020 Lbs.

Yep! We have yet to see any issues with it being exposed like that!
@@Agileoffroad I would be worried about it, one rock hitting the condenser at highway speeds would destroy the condenser.
What is the AMG dash? I know Mercedes offers the two screen sizes, is this something different?

i am concerned about the added weight with all this steel, water, batteries...why not use the dually 3500? i dont see much dually off road conversion.

I too was wondering the weight, must be near GVWR with the fuel, water, battery upgrades? But I guess the upgrade leaf springs can handle it?

Does your tune simply remove limits, or could it cause emissions test failures? How does it affect highway and local mileage?
No emissions issues at all and it can enhance MPG, but very little.
IOpedal has a high idle coming too…

Maybe for you. My 23 awd high roof with build out gets 27mpg regularly on highway and 20 in town. That is with 33" tires.
