Started a new series of videos where I play matches against a range of players and coaches whilst both wearing microphones.
As well as being a fun way for me to make you videos, it’s going to mean that I can actually start playing more tennis and hopefully share some useful insights with you.
This second one was against my brother, Wilson!

It's equal parts funny and uncanny to see that all tennis mates are the exact same no matter the country. I'm German and the courtside comments from my mates are almost exactly the same. We give each other a hard time when someone misses repeatedly but acknowledge good plays and in the end encourage each other to get better. Love this series!

Haha!! Don’t worry, I was kind of rooting for him too 🤣 Not enough to let him win though! If he was fitter I’d have a battle on my hands, he looked impatient in many points!

Pretty cool. Fun to watch. I think you was more aware of what to do and expect, and Wilson was trying to figure out during the match, that makes a lot off diference on shorts matchs. (Preps Boosts confidence)

Could you please do a video on how to build match confidence/mindset for rec level players? i feel that i do well in practices but as soon as i start a match, my play level sinks. really annoying.
You could do a doubles video with your other brothers, Babolat and Slazenger
But Wilson, Babolat and Slazenger don’t get on, so what would the pairings be??

I'm curuyas to why he quit fir 10 years. I was a county junior. Sadly, my mother died when I was 14 and tennis was no longer an option for me mentally.

Why did he quit at 12 y/o? Asking as a father/coach to a 7 year old budding tennis player
A combination of a few things resulting in burnout. The tennis journey is a long road and enjoyment is the only fuel that will keep you moving forward! Keep it fun!
