Interestingly Honky Tonk Angel and Loving Arms were recorded with Reggie at Stax in 73 by Elvis and Dobie Gray. I have heard that Elvis was offered Drift Away but said he didn't think he could improve on Dobie's version. I would love to know more about the intersection of Elvis and Dobie at Stax ❤ Reggie is one of the most significant guitarists in history.

What about this one: The Beatles asked The Bill Black Combo to open their show. I don't think Bill Black attended due to ill health. Later Linda McCartney buys Bill Blacks upright Kay bass for Paul McCartney and he still owns it. See it on YT. The Musicians Hall of Fame have the classical Federico Garcia guitar Reggie Young played on In the Ghetto. Again he plays it on YT.
