Great video of a truck with rust as would be commonly found on vehicles in at least half the US. So much more helpful than repair videos of vehicles with not a speck of rust on them anywhere. Kudos to TRQ for showing a repair video of how to overcome problems with rust and corrosion that are often encountered.
Do not try to remove the long bolt that he describes around 2:42 before removing the nut that holds on the coil spring, and the nut that holds the bolt captive. This is a good way to round off this bolt, ask me how I know. Otherwise, this video was great and immensely helpful in tackling this job. If you struggle with removing the nuts, I used an induction heater to get them to move.

No on sales a radius arm for a 97 2wd f350. Which is amazing considering how many flatbeds, dump trucks and cab and chassis you still on the road. I had to take a Welder and fill in all the metal behind the threads on shank of my radius arms. i machine it myself with the old angle grinder. i had to do this before being able to install new bushings
This is a wonderful instructional video by a great mechanic and it helped me out a ton. My only critique is that in the narration the phrase "go ahead" was used so often that it was very distracting to the otherwise clear and concise instructions. Thank you sir!!!
Do you have any videos on how to replace the front radius arm bushings on a RWD 99-03 Ford Super Duty? It is a single bushing that sits in the end of the radius arm with a bolt that passes through where it mounts to the chassis. The only guides I can find are for the style you show in this video.
Wouldn’t it be easier to cut and drive out the rivets on the brackets and pull them off towards the rear of the truck? I mean, if you’re replacing the radius arm, this would be the way to do it.

This is one of the only videos I can find that actually details how to remove the radius arm thank you for that
My radius arm just cracked in half from rust; thanks for having this excellent guide up!

Very informative. Mine finally snapped (rotted away) while I was pulling an enclosed trailer. A little scary ! Thanks for the great vid.

I have to replace the whole arm. Because the right side had nothing left of it. So this video helps me get a 1994 Ford F150 5.0 V8 back on the road.
The bolt at 7:21 I absolutely cannot break free.
Never seen such rust before. They chemically dissolve vehicles up north in the winter.

What is recommended to replace with the radius arm bushings

Awesome job
Will a manual trans from a 95 XLT 4x4 4.0 bolt onto a 2000 3.0 motor?
The bolt you call the big bolt 7:20 is stuck on my truck impact heat and breaker bar would not take it off any other ideas
Ya estabas ahí por qué no limpiar , me pone ansioso ver la mugre y no limpiar
Saludos desde Tijuana México gracias por compartír también quiero cambiar esas gomas, thanks
Would it fit a 1993 4x4?
Pn for the lower shock mount?
Just one of the reasons nearly all these vehicles aren't on the roads anymore.
What a rust bucket
