    You'd do well there with a sea scooter turned around to fan a large area with.

    Good breathing control, you were breathing every 15-20 sec this would conserve lots or air. i like when the tide is running hard that way when you stir up the sand it quickly washes away. if it were still it takes forever for the sand to settle. it seems that everything was washed into one area by the storm i guess. nice video get in there and waste no time talking.

    A lot of work, but none the less .That was a pretty sweet dive. Lots of targets. Did it take very long cleaning the rings with electrolysis ? An hour , 2, 3 , or just 20 minutes or so ?

      Its a pretty quick process. I did a video a while back showing the a 3 step process that I use for cleaning silver Cleaning Nasty Black Salt Water Silver

    Wow, great job cleaning the rings. Did the other guy scare the crap out of you or what, you seemed surprised to see him lol....

    • @DetectorComparisons
      @DetectorComparisons  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually heard him coming; when we get within 5 feet of each other, the machines start "talking". The water was so clear, we could see each other the whole dive. A little electrolysis cleans up the silver well.

    Man, I would love to learn how to dive and detect. what kind of $$$$ are we talking about to get into that? I've been detecting on land for about 2 years.

      @DetectorComparisons  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Once you buy all the gear, you just need to fill your tank with air. Check with your local dive shop and get some good used equipment since it will not remain "nice" using it to work the ocean floor.

    Just got ours in the mail today. What were your settings for this hunt?

    • @DetectorComparisons
      @DetectorComparisons  9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Michael Robinson Once your coil is in the water, set your sensitivity until you hear a faint background chatter; this will give you the most depth. Conditions vary from location to location so there is not one "set" sensitivity level. I just want to knock out small iron so I set the Disc to 3. I keep the volume all the way up so I can hear the faint signals.

      Thanks much!! Anxious to get in the water and try it out. We live in the Florida Keys. Hoping this turns out to be quite interesting!

      DetectorComparisons also with the detectorpro headhunter underwater, with the headphones is there more pressure build up in the ears. do you have to equalize more frequently or is it the same as without the headphones

      Thanks! I've been watching alot of your videos,has inspired me to get into it! Dont have a dive-cert yet but can free dive ;) Any idea if the "Mercury-Underwater detector" is any good? Was looking at the Excaliber ii but is a bit steep for me at the moment. Thanks again!

    • @DetectorComparisons
      @DetectorComparisons  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +luːsɪd Llew Not familiar with the Mercury. A good affordable starter unit would be a Fisher 1280X or the Underwater by Detectorpro. Both get the job done in salt and fresh water.

      It looks pretty much the same as a Tresure hunter sand shark underwater detector .. but is a bit cheaper and only has 10m to the 132foot as with the sand shark. Cheers for the advice anyway! good luck!
