I can close my eyes and put myself back in this time like I'm still in it. Life is so vivid and memorable when you're young. Then you go through a time warp that feels more like a weird dream than reality, as if I'll wake up any minute and still be in 1997. I'm ultimately happy with how things turned out, but I miss the 90's so much.

Man. I was 15 in 97. Graduated high school in 2000. The 90s will forever be the greatest decade of my life. Not because of the lack if technology, not because of the issues of the day but because of the simplicity and absence of interference from being bombarded by opinions and information from all corners of the universe at all times. That and the weirdness of the decade was awsome.

One of the greatest stars of comedy, Chris Farley died on December 18, 1997 in his apartment in Chicago, Illinois. He died of a drug overdose at the young age of 33. I always enjoy watching Chris Farley in movies like “Billy Madison”, “Tommy Boy”, “Black Sheep”, “Beverly Hills Ninja”, and “Almost Heroes”. Farley was a star on Saturday Night Live. 1997 was such a formative year for me. Princess Diana, who was my idol, died the day before I moved to the UK permanently after growing up in Asia for the first 11 years of my life. When the news broke that she was in a car accident, I started drawing Get Well Soon cards that I intended to post to Buckingham Palace when we landed in the UK. A couple of hours later, when they announced her death, I was midway through my second card and my pencil just dropped out of my hand in shock. It was a pretty vivid memory.

    • @J3diMindTrix
      @J3diMindTrix 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Princess Di's death is super suspicious
      Along with JFK
I'm thinking of all super high-profile deaths the world has seen in those past 58 years, those two stand out for me as most likely to be proven as homicides in the future - if the pertinent data is released somehow
And that is only going to happen by one of three ways - covert intelligence gathering, an admission of culpability, or a security breach where the information is kept - none of which are very likely
In fact i would add epstein on to that list, to form a trio, except the first two were esptein'ed before it was common knowledge that that sort of thing was commonplace among elite individuals who had lost favour with the powers that they commingled with
I heard somewhere, from someone who may or may not have had ties at one point to the intelligence community, that there are two preferred methods of assassination: auto accidents and apparent suicides. While in cars the target is at their most vulnerable and exposed, and a crash that looks like an accident carries more than enough plausible deniability. As well as it being in a wide open space where entry and exit routes can be effectively planned and the attack co-ordinated with precision. Of course an open-top limousine with a 360 angle of attack is more or less what would be considered a 'perfect opportunity'. If this isn't an option, i.e. the subject is in custody, or in seclusion in accomodation, then a 'suicide' scene can be adequately set up. If all this fails, untraceable poison (documented in KGB manuals) can be slipped to cause an apparent heart failure or brain haemorrhage. Did you know only around 20 drugs are tested in a standard post-mortem toxicology screening? Anything above that costs exorbitantly more, but on rare occasions families unhappy with a coroner's report have gotten a secondary examination and paid for much more comprehensive tests, only to often reveal the presence of high doses of other substances that should not have been there and could have been a direct cause of the person's death. Now just think how many times that has happened and we don't know about it, or what kinds of biotoxins are at the disposal of countries with the most elite level security and intelligence agencies. They wouldn't be very good at what they do if we knew all of their capabilities and access to materials now would they. Not that I'm saying that was the case in any of these three... _accidental_ deaths
I could offer much more but I don't want to go on and on. Just a couple more notes on Princess Di that you may find interesting, and are not common knowledge - there was a white fiat that was observed right in and around of the mercedes at the crash site and was never identified nor the driver come forward with critical witness testimony. 2) An SAS operative - UK equivalent of Green Berets, missions sworn to secrecy under oath, so often used for highly sensitive operations - admitted to his wife while they were going through a particularly messy divorce that he was involved in Di's murder. Take from that what you will
I'm not indicting anyone for a crime here with any of these cases. I just find them fascinating in how suspect they are
And, in the modern age with the ease of transfer of information, we are getting better at sharing crucial data about an event before the media can censor or tamper with it. Remember how they refused to report on epstein for years? And in the modern digital internet age, their official story is the laughing stock of the world and farcical to take at face value. We've come far.. but there's still a long way to go

1997 was the highest point ever in my life. So many things happened in ‘97 that would just not happen today. The level of optimism and the little knowledge of everything going on in the world. We felt unstoppable. The world was out there to be explored. Life went slow. It feels like a nostalgic dream. Definitely looking back it feels like a dream now. Wish to go back and relive those days so much. 1997 its where its at. And we thought things would just go better in the next century. THAT was the better time. Not the 21st century.

I moved to Germany early 1997. Some of the best years of my life.
Also a 2 year separation before divorce is very helpful. I was going to divorce my husband and we ended up separating for 3 years. In that time we worked it out and renewed our vows. We are stronger and happier than ever. I'm not saying that will happen to every separation, but at least it gives the marriage a chance to heal. Marriage should not be viewed as easily disposable.

Hi there, Good evening. I'm David Matthet by name. And originally from Italy. But I am currently working in Mexico. And am involved in oil drilling and exploration. I enjoy exploring new places and trying out new activities such as hiking and mountain biking. Seeing your profile put a smile on my face. I would really love to get to know you better. Is there anything you would like to tell me about yourself? I'm all ears. And I hope to hear from you soon Ok.

I was also 5, for most of the year (but turned 6 in November). 97 is definitely the first year that I have really significant memories of. Especially since my family moved to a new state that summer and I started kindergarten. It was definitely an exciting and carefree time.

Government in 1997 about UFOs: *"It's just a weather balloon, nothing exciting!"* 🙄
Government today about UFOs: *"Even we don't know what the hell that thing is."* 😳

If the Roswell crash was a weather balloon why did they put crash test dummies in it? I've never heard of anyone flying along with a weather balloon, but I don't know much about them.
