    Hihi!
I would like to bother you with another question, if I may.
We are upgrading another car too, what is a Carson Desert Warrior XL 2.0, what is actually a 1/8 size car.
It is an interesting car indeed, but due to the manufacturer there is not much option to upgrade, more it is almost none, as no factory or aftermarket parts are available.
The factory car comes with a brushless engine, what is by the specs is rated for only 2s Lipo.
(The ESC deffinitely is, but we have already changed it, so it does not matter any more.)
    Here is the motor itself:
    www.rc-modellbau-hoppe-shop.de/epages/63183761.mobile/?ObjectPath=/Shops/63183761/Products/500906158&ClassicView=1
To be honest I do not belive that this 55mm can motor with 3300KV and 430Watts would not handle a 3s Lipo, bit still, every spec and description is saying that. (Would be very strange…)
Anyways, changing the motor is not a big deal, but still, here we are facing the issue.
As the car is quite uniqe and as I wrote there are not much parts to change, the main differential is one what you can only replace with the same factory one. The complete differential comes with a 0.6 Mod spur, and that it. No chance to change it to a 0.8 Mod or even to a 1M.
As most 3660 - what we are plannig to built in for the 3s Lipo - motors are comming with a 5mm shaft for what we should find is a 5mm bore, 0.6 Mod spur, what we did actually, but mostly you can buy those from the US, and the price is way above $30 with shipping, what is quite unacceptable, for one piece… :)
So turning the question upside down, we are looking for a 3660 motor with a 3.175 shaft, so the original spur could fit easily.
This is where your experience is comming in the way :)
After some search it turned out that almost the only opportunitiy is the Surpass KK series 3660 motors, as you can buy them with smaller shaft also.
We are thinking about the 3500KV version, to still have some speed, but good power in the other hand also, for dirt bashing.
So what are you experiences, on these KK motors, are they good and efficient, does it worth buying it?
    Thank you again,
    K
