    Hi, is it possible to use the original esc space for extension to battery tray? How long would the tray be if that is possible with some material removed, like various protrusions?

      I reckon off the top of my head. You may get a 2200mAh battery out of a Wltoys in there. But like you say there would be some cutting involved.

    Great vid mate love these trucks and for the money they are a great platform to upgrade to brushless. Add up the cost of the truck and the brushless conversion its still cheaper than most of the other trucks out there. For sure has more to give on a straight road. Wonder what it would do on 3s 😜👍

    Hey buddy hope your ok and thanks for your video just wondering would this combo be good for the arrma Vorteks Boost as I don't intend to leave it with a brushed motor for long at all and could I use the spectrum receiver it comes with or would I need to get another and what would you recommend

    • @theminiatureconstructionco4556
      @theminiatureconstructionco4556  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello!! I don't see any reason why not. As long as the Arrma is 1/10 1/12 scale (or smaller) I can't see it not working. If the radio gear you have has the standard plugs on the receiver it should all work together correctly, a reverse function on the throttle and steering is sometimes useful. I would also get a programming card as well to fine tune various parameters. I think there is a promo code in the description that will get you 10% off at Banggood. They do loads of combos just use one of the links in the description. 👍👋

    I actually like a lot the behavior of the brushed motor. A lot of torq, controllable and so far reliable. As I am planning to use mine with crawler tires for off-road and crawl, speed is more Than enough and to use stock tires at basketball field or garage and play with my kid is also enough. Speed is good but it always has a price, not only conversion but also potential more damage to parts when crashing. It's different to crash a rc at 30kmh or 50kmh.

      I already ordered the 901a but have been getting second thoughts after reading negative comments on it lacking a center diff and therefore breaking diffs, and also being harder to control. I can't afford to keep the 901a and buy the fc610 and mod it. But sending the 901a back comes with a return cost of ~35€ som I'm torn about what to do.
      I'll mostly drive in my backyard that has a undulating lawn but also some rougher areas with small roots surfacing. Apart from that there's a gravel soccer field nearby and sand pits and some bigger grass hills with maybe 2-4 inches tall grass. So it seems likely that I need to swap to bigger tyres on the 901a, and that seems to be where people are starting to get in to trouble with breaking the diffs. What's your thoughts on my situation. Cheers for being such a nice guy and your awesome channels success 🍻

      @@nosreuter well so far the 901 hasn't really let me down, more like the other way around! I've broke a diff cup and a wheel. The cup was me hitting a fence post and the wheel a head on collision with a much heavier Losi truck. I've had no trouble with the diffs and I'm running a much fruiter 5800kv motor and 60a ESC (see other videos). I knackered the standard ESC by trying it on 3S (wouldn't recommend) and because of the broken wheel I've stuck a set of wider XLF wheels on and they do seem a bit better. A plus side too no centre diff is it does teach you throttle control!! 👍😄

    Two quick question for you. So the stock ESC and receiver are 1 piece so you need to get a new receiver and ESC (you can’t use the stock radio).
    What size battery does it take (do you know the dimensions…. I would likely run it at 3s.

      I think the kit worked pretty well. It's meant for 1/10 scale RC's so with the 610 being smaller (I think it's more like 1:12 personally) it was more than sufficient. The sky it the limit really but may make the thing a little unusable. I.e. the chassis starts to become the weak link with all that extra power. Like I say in the video it went from quite a placid easy to control RC, to being a bit twitchy especially on the power. Just because your then exceeding the grip of the tyres etc. From a motor stand point you could fit a 3660 (as opposed to the 3650) in and get some extra torque. Personally it's a great kit and worked really well. And if you did want some extra go run 3S! 👍👍🙋
