How long should you wait to apply the vinyl to the epoxy? I am worried I won't wait long enough and ruin the cup.
Hi Summer. I have a really off-beat question for you. With the COPPA act going into place, how are you marking videos such as this one? I have a secondary channel where I also upload videos about making tumblers. I have a couple, like this one, that uses cartoon characters. I'm really new to uploading and I have less than 10 videos on that channel so this is really throwing me for a loop.
The guidelines specifically say, "Whether the video includes characters, celebrities, or toys that appeal to children, including animated characters or cartoon figures." I'm concerned that despite the fact that these videos use toxic and dangerous chemicals and equipment, that the subject matter may still get my video red flagged. How are you handling this?

Ahh. I wish i would have found you two weeks ago!! I just started doing tumblers and I think if I would have started watching you first my life would have been a lot easier and I wouldn't be having all the problems I am right now. Such good info and explained so well!! I love that your thrifty too!
If you get creases in you vinyl when you lay it down I found that if you heat it up with a heat gun it softens the vinyl just enough to get it to lay down smoother 🙂

This tutorial is perfect timing! I am on my 5th tumbler and wanted to do a peek-a-boo to salvage a messed up rainbow swirl, lol. I love how you did the double glitter with this too. It turned out absolutely gorgeous!!! Tyfs and making the videos, you make everything so easy to understand.

I just wanted to add a tip....you need that mask more for spraying the spray adhesive than you do the epoxy. You can't see the mist but you are inside spraying and breathing the mist as well as the vapors from the spray ;)
Valerie Addicott exactly what i was thinking AND. If you stay in the room while epoxy is curing the mask needs to stay on until the epoxy is FULLY cured.

Nearly Stuck yes you do!!! Haha my husband (not bob the builder) built me 1 and a bunch of the football handles bc you definitely need a few if you’re working on more than 1. Great tutorial as always! If you put a drop of glue or something on top of the vinyl before you glitter it will help you find it. That is more difficult on the large decal but would definitely work on the scales,

Ive given up with clear tack paper and used Blue masking tape, its so much better, when you take it off you press hard on vinyl on tumbler ad ROLL DOWN THE MASKING TAPE the vinyl comes off with less wrinkles.
Thanks for your videos love them appreciate the work you're doing your good spirit about helping everybody. So I'm wondering on when you do the glitter could you do a reverse vinyl Cut and then just spray glue those areas pull back the vinyl and then just sprinkle the glitter in those areas.

Can you possible do a “mess up cup” where there are common mistakes made and how to fix them. I’m new to making tumblers and seem to mess up on every thing and don’t know how to fix the small things. It would be much appreciated if you could make that a short tutorial

How do i get the decals to make the mermaid cup like this one?
since your removing the vinyl, do you use the removable type vinyl instead a 651 or something like that or does it matter?
I use 631. The 651 is permanent vinyl and can be too hard to remove if you leave it for a bit longer.

pricing widely varies depending on economic area and supply cost. It would be impossible to pin a price point, there are just too many variables. You want to make enough to make it worth it but not drive away customers
How do you keep epoxy and glitter out of the inside of the cups and what is the best way to get it out?

Great video I just started making some tumblers my question is what sand paper do you use to get some of the bumps out and do you see the sanding marks
Patricia Cobb Yes if you say that you can definitely see the marks but then you just put another layer of Apoxsee over the top of that and the marks go away. For my final sanding I mostly use 220 grit but if there’s a big mistake or something I need to fix our use and have your grit

Hey girly i see u always trying to answer the bubble question on why flame over heat gun. Its not the co2 cartridge its the fact that flames feed off of oxygen 💗 the heat gun wont feed , flame will 🔥 hope this helps .

totally dry so the paint doesn't stick to the glitter

I tried this technique and when I was pulling the vinyl off there was sticky residue left behind and the glitter I had on the cup was sticking all over the left over residue and messed it all up so now I'm having to strip the cup! anyone have this happen or know how to stop it from happening?
Over night maybe 12 hr thinking about it I could have waiting longer

Something that works way better than that spray adhesive you used is spray loctite. It dries super fast like 30 minutes or faster depending on humidity and temperature. Also when you pull off the vinyl it will be super clean beautiful lines. No repair will be needed. Also if you don't spray the adhesive over where you are shaking your glitter you won't waste so much precious glitter. Just some tips for you.
Did you spray the clear spray on the glitter or did you put epoxy on it?
Clarissa Brown in which part? I do both. After I pull up the decals for the peekaboo I coated it with 3layers if clear spray paint. Let it completely dry, then epoxy then the coral decals then more epoxy!
I'm sorry, how did you prepare the tumbler. I know you probably Mod podge the chucky glitter on, what did you do next. It looks like the tumbler had a shiny coat so I was curious.
