I had you guys/gals send me clips doing exercises you're having trouble with and wow are you struggling... One of the main things I walked away realizing is that so many people still ego lift. I know it might seem tempting to add weight to the bar as frequently as possible but when your form breaks down it's not worth it.

I have been doing seated good mornings for like a week, and it has been an absolute game changer for my back. Jesus has been an absolute game changer for my soul too; couldn't recommend both enough.
No kidding! That "bent over one arm row to standing what-the-fuck", I just tonight saw a guy doing that same motion but with two dumbbells instead of one. This guy was a character. No joke he was wearing sunglasses and a backwards cap the entire time. Inside, at night.

As a 53 year old man, I learned to take my ego out of lifting.
Now it's about mind muscle connection and taking it slow.

I'm only 38, but same. I spent more than ten years going for big numbers and PBs. Last year health issues forced me to take a few months break, and when I got back my joints felt so good. I couldn't believe it. And now I dont want them to feel bad again. It doesn't feel worth it anymore. It was a bit of a reset button and has allowed me to step back and correct some bad habits and bad form I'd fallen into over the years.

100% agree on double overhand grips for deadlifts. I’ve seen way too many videos of bicep tears from mixed grip deadlifting to think it’s worth the risk. I do deadlift, though hypertrophy is my main focus vs power or strength. Ego is not your amigo

Can i ask a serious question? When doing lunges, I've always followed the rule of not bending the knee past 90 degrees. Is that what you were recommending in the squat in order to keep tension on the quads during the squat? Thank you

I'm 58. If a dumpster fire had a dumpster fire, then someone shit on it to put it out would best describe me. Except, I'm the one who shit on it. I'm fused from C2 to T2, all the discs in my lumbar are bulging, I have arthritis in my everywhere, and I had my sternocleidomastoid muscle removed resulting in a paralyzed trap. The doctors and physical therapists say I have weak quads, gluts, and core. I got your program so I guess it's time to get after it.
