Also...please do a video on igf, would be very interesting. I did it uneducated years ago and found it to be great. Would love to see your breakdown of it and how to run it properly
Ok, your channel just popped up right at the time I decided I’m gonna start. I’m 65 and I do not want to get frail. My neighbors are shocked that I walk everywhere it puzzles me that they think this way. Gonna get some weights and start at home. I’ve seen elders like myself with great tone and muscles , older than myself. I want that. Here I go……
Trt is the way to go. Put my dad on a relatively generous dose, 175mg week, and he is stronger, leaner, and more energetic than he was at 67, 10 years ago. That is with TRT and just an active lifestyle in the garden, no actual training. Training is good, training with generous TRT is better. If you could only choose one, at your age, choose TRT, it has a larger impact. Without the hormonal support, it is very hard to get results.
Would love to see a video about IGF1 use. Also would love to hear about your test and free test levels in comparison. Maybe a video breaking down an analysis of your blood work and what markers you like to look at. Lastly a day eating would be glorious 😅
Hey Ryan, I just wanted to say how much I’ve been enjoying your videos. I’m in my forties, and your content really resonates with me, from the training techniques to the nutrition advice. I appreciate the science-based studies you share; they’re super helpful! If possible, could you make a video on IGF-1? I’d love to learn more. Thanks for all you do!

I'd love to hear you and Dr. Mike go back and forth. Not just exercise science, but more just the random thoughts you each have feeding each others imaginations and snowballing.
Yes please on the IGF 1. I used the LR3 and had good results but there's so much info out there like carbs before you , only hit one muscle group a week and so many other things. Keep up the great work man.
Being natural you will not be able to gain this much muscle in a year but if you watch previous videos you can definitely use the information being provided to build more muscle. Depending on training and nutrition the more you optimise both, the more muscle you will gain. Getting your daily protein, carbs and fat plus the timing of your nutrition will help immensely accompanied with optimal rep ranges and weight helps a lot too. Of course gear and peptides are amazing but aren’t feasible for everyone and tbh it’s harder and more worth it being natural.
I was about to say he forgot to say he's also on TRT. I wouldn't necessarily call TRT "gear" as it is prescribed by doctors to men with insufficient testosterone levels, however it does definitely give you a boost
Based on my knowledge TRT is a grey area term played around with especially in USA. Most people who are on TRT have played around with PED’s in the past and tanked their natural testosterone. The people that have tanked their testosterone take TRT at a level that will bring their testosterone to a level much than some at the same age with natural testosterone. Peptides are also grey area as it’s something you are taking exogenously. Everything has a medical basis but is it necessary in day to day life? No. But that’s a life choice. In my opinion if someone can take testosterone to change gender then why can’t you to optimise health and happiness?

It does make you have to pay attention to eating as blood sugars can get a little low if you don't and it's not expensive since you don't need much. As little as 100 mcg shot bilaterally seems to help. Think Steve using 250 to 500. 500 would get expensive.

were those the only oreos you ate during filming..? or were there a few "re-shoots", you know to capture the essence of the point you were trying to get across.
LOL. All these idiots in the comments trying to call him out (incorrectly) for hiding testosterone usage (he's clearly on and shared his dosages not long ago) but YOU have made a perfect argument. He definitely had to shoot that scene a few times to up the Oreo intake.
😂😂 loved the results of the blood work at 4:53. All cholesterol markers completely f*cked and giga testosterone levels. Definitely gear. I'm a long time subscriber and will continue to be so. I loved the honesty embroiled in the humour. And great content also, from a scientific point of view. Cheers, mate
No one gains 30 lbs of lean mass in 15 months, it's insane to say this was done without gear. All the shady tactics to make it look better than it is, first photo white background, pale skin, unflexed. Marketing himself to all the mid 20's physically insecure men on youtube looking for "the secret" to non-juiced physiques. He has great info on stuff he's honest about but, man, don't do shit like this. Some of his vids you can clearly see he's had gynecomastia surgery too.
How did you get peptides prescribed to you? I asked my doctor, he reached out to a pharmacist colleague, who told him it was impossible unless you were involved in some clinical trial. So I'd love to hear how this happened.
@sonicnendez You have to be wealthy to be able to afford peptides though a clinic. Most sites selling them are ridiculously priced also. What Ryan doesn't mention is, igf-1 has an extremely short period to work. Basically, you have to have it on hand at the gym with you and inject it within 15 minutes of you finishing your training. You inject it into the muscle you just trained. igf-1 lr3 is the version you want to get. It works longer in the muscle.
You can't anymore. FDA banned them from actual compound pharmacies to make them. So now more people are at risk. This guy buys them off peptidescience. They are "research chemicals for animal use". So that's how they get apeund the FDA, and don't have to be monitored in regards to purity and stability
I can definitely say I get more growth out of high volume to failure (20 to 30 reps range) + partials at the end to really get failure. When I do progressive overload 10-12 reps I get pump but growth is much slower as fatigue and lack of power comes sooner than the lactic burn and satisfying pain 😅 Sometimes I would combine progressive overload + some lower weight sets at the end, it’s still not similar.
Have you looked into the randle cycle? It blocks entry into the cell for both fats and carbs. People read that as insulin resistance when in reality the cell is full of fuel substrate, so the body keeps it in the blood.
I'm at 910 carbs on 4900kcal/d, so almost. You can cut down heavily on fats (about 40g/d), and as an unenhanced athlete, I can afford to lower my protein slightly (to about 2.5xbw in kg), since my protein synthesis isn't that high.
@@ddublu Iv done body building all my life natural un natural and back natural and no man over 40 especially who has previously taken gear ever will put 30lb of muscle on natural in 15 months!!!!!!!!
When’s that IGF-1 video coming out?? A few years ago I tried lab testing my igf1 4hours after pinning 6iu’s of serostim. First time: eating 1/2lb ground beef & 1cup brown rice 2hrs after pinning got 505 ng/dl Second time: same food portions, test times & eat time with the addition of 16oz organic wholemilk testing at 570 ng/dl. Why milk? because that’s what babies drink to double in size within 3-4 months after birth. Third time same food & milk at 9ius but only got 684 so there are some diminishing returns when upping the dose 50% only increasing igf1 by 20%. Just thought I’d share because this is an interesting topic with hardly any videos online about it. I’ll be looking out for your igf video….love your videos bro! Keep going 😎👍
More on the peptides! Deep dive one how they work, which ones we should look at for training, body comp, and recovery, how to administer, and what sort of protocol to follow ... Please ...
IGF-1 is indeed a big game changer in hypertrophy and cell growth however it does come with the downside that it stimulates all types of cells including cancer cells. So doing this would require regular check ups.
Everyone gets cancer every day, the thing is, our systems detect them and kill them. What we consider as "cancer" is mutated cancer cells that our systems cannot detect, or that grow/defend themselves fast enough to not be eliminated, and are able to grow, etc.
I might have to pull the trigger on subscribing to the app. I’ve been doing the Backed By Science program. Each week gets one month of dedication. Results are evident with weights and diet. The biochemistry is a bit over my head. Interesting though
This is really interesting. I had mechanical valve replacement surgery 20 months ago. I had to eliminate most green veggies from my diet because they mess with my INR. I replaced most of the vegetables I used to eat with potatoes and rice. My entire life I've eaten a low carb diet. Since my dietary change, I've gained 20 lbs, without adding much body fat. I suspected the carb change was responsible, but it's good to see the science behind what I stumbled onto.
Carbs help you gain muscle if you have been under- eating. I started lifting at 26 when I weighed 58 kg, went to 72 kgs in 2 years and was stuck there for a year. Then I got married and the wife lovingly forced fed me, and i gained another 8 kgs. Yes, i gained fat as well, but it was a 75:25 split of muscle: fat.
During exercise metabolic processes are triggered that don’t JUST rely on Insulin to transport the glucose across the cell membrane… however the triggers for this rely on a certain degree of aerobic stress to develop. It’s called being ‘metabolically flexible’.
Would love to do the Garage 2.0 program, but $20 per month is way too much. A gym contract in my country is cheaper than that. Edit: Correction, the app is $20 a month. The program is $20 on the website
Peptide usage as per NIH: Peptide hormone abuse can cause motor paralysis, skeletal muscle damage and loss, diabetes mellitus, hypothyroidism, arterial hypertension, sweating, headaches, vomiting and enhances the risk for atherosclerosis, thrombosis, osteoporosis, and cancer.

This is my #1 complaint with ALL of this guys content. Every "best way to gain" video, every video on how to best train your biceps/triceps/pecs/etc. - you know, what did YOU do to get your current build bro? You didn't gain that body by doing this shit you're talking about in your latest video... People need to remember this guy is an entertainer. He's a content creator. He's not trying to get you yoked. He's trying to make a living... so he's incentivized to keep on pumping out new videos endlessly.
I like how he framed carbs. If ur goal is muscle u are putting urself at a disadvantage. I also like that he acknowledge his physiological IR resulting from a low carb diet.
By gradually increasing carbs your body gets better at utilizing them again low carb can make you inefficient at it. That said i know alot of BB using GH have to also run insulin and eat copious amounts of carbs because the GH messes up insulin resistance but not sure if IGF-1 peptides are the same
Used to train each group x2/week and was stuck in a plateau, as natty, and it's the definition of overtraining. Switched to each muscle group x1/week and started seeing rapid gains in strength and size. Everyone's different, but if you're natty, I hesitate to recommend training all x2 a week. My joints and nervous system also thank me as a result. Less is more, and I train with more intensity including forced negative and positive reps and it takes more than a day to recover and grow

Yes I would also appreciate a video on your peptide stack, HRT use and how much of your gains come from those substances. No disrespect, just genuinely interested. I’m about your age and interested in the benefits/side effects. Great videos.
Please make an igf1-lr3 video! Love the content!
You and Dr. Mike need to link up
Dude you're a blessing to the community. You do great work.
Now I know I need to deal with a physical again to have my bloodwork done.
I'd love to see a video on your IGF-1 experience!
Not all heroes wear capes!! You're the man Ryan!
PLEASE do a video regarding IGF-1
were those the only oreos you ate during filming..? or were there a few "re-shoots", you know to capture the essence of the point you were trying to get across.
LOL. All these idiots in the comments trying to call him out (incorrectly) for hiding testosterone usage (he's clearly on and shared his dosages not long ago) but YOU have made a perfect argument. He definitely had to shoot that scene a few times to up the Oreo intake.
As many times as necessary is my guess
Ryan make a video on igf1 your vid on bpc and tb500 as well as semiglutide were helpful
Please make a video on the peptides
😂😂 loved the results of the blood work at 4:53. All cholesterol markers completely f*cked and giga testosterone levels. Definitely gear. I'm a long time subscriber and will continue to be so. I loved the honesty embroiled in the humour.
And great content also, from a scientific point of view.
Cheers, mate
Test levels were sub optimal
Exactly mine are 770 on 120mg have been 1115 on 168mg. So not juiced at all .... IF they are his 😅
Yeah, good thing he dropped back to TRT levels before he got his blood work done. His cholesterol markers show the after effects of his cycle.
Ryan Humiston. Please do a video on igf-1
Love when the pups get a shoutout
How did you get peptides prescribed to you? I asked my doctor, he reached out to a pharmacist colleague, who told him it was impossible unless you were involved in some clinical trial. So I'd love to hear how this happened.
What about a preferred place to purchase them without a prescription???
Thank you! You have been a great help for me to figure out what I am doing wrong.
I can definitely say I get more growth out of high volume to failure (20 to 30 reps range) + partials at the end to really get failure.
When I do progressive overload 10-12 reps I get pump but growth is much slower as fatigue and lack of power comes sooner than the lactic burn and satisfying pain 😅
Sometimes I would combine progressive overload + some lower weight sets at the end, it’s still not similar.
High volume is total weekly sets per muscle group (doesn't matter if it's 30 reps per set or 5 reps per set)
@@corenko I disagree
Have you looked into the randle cycle?
It blocks entry into the cell for both fats and carbs.
People read that as insulin resistance when in reality the cell is full of fuel substrate, so the body keeps it in the blood.
800 gr carbs is crazy, Ryan must be eating at least 5000 calories.
And 1000mg of test400
I'm at 910 carbs on 4900kcal/d, so almost. You can cut down heavily on fats (about 40g/d), and as an unenhanced athlete, I can afford to lower my protein slightly (to about 2.5xbw in kg), since my protein synthesis isn't that high.
@@ddublu Iv done body building all my life natural un natural and back natural and no man over 40 especially who has previously taken gear ever will put 30lb of muscle on natural in 15 months!!!!!!!!

I heard a few things about peptides but is that only available in the US? Here in the EU things are regulated to death @@Marrs47
IGF-1 video please. Really curious about the role and place peptides have in the nutrition and supplements component of training and recovery.
I loved the liver king reference at 06:50. Laughed out of my seat.
Where are you getting your peptides from?
Fasting kills it

I might have to pull the trigger on subscribing to the app.
I’ve been doing the Backed By Science program. Each week gets one month of dedication.
Results are evident with weights and diet.
The biochemistry is a bit over my head. Interesting though
Igf-1 video please and thank you
This is really interesting.
Carbs make your body hold a lot more water specifically intramuscular water.
Had the same surgery 🙌
During exercise metabolic processes are triggered that don’t JUST rely on Insulin to transport the glucose across the cell membrane… however the triggers for this rely on a certain degree of aerobic stress to develop. It’s called being ‘metabolically flexible’.
Would love to do the Garage 2.0 program, but $20 per month is way too much. A gym contract in my country is cheaper than that.
Edit: Correction, the app is $20 a month. The program is $20 on the website
It's $20 to buy the program...1 time purchase, not a monthly payment
@@MT-mf5qv Apologies, I was referring to the app - that's a $20 a month sub.

How do you fix insulin resistance with eating more carbs? I thought it was the opposite (eating a lot of carbs causes insuline resistance)
I would also like to know since I am diabetic .
Awesome video man, needed this as I’m right on the border for type 2 Diabetes, working to reverse it! Will other peptides like ipamorelin or CJC-1295 increase or decrease insulin resistance? Can’t seem to find a straight answer? Thanks man!
Look into Cardarine (GW501516) for that
have you tried intermittent fasting?
@@joaquincortada1483 I have. I’ve done IF, done a couple of 72 hour fasts, did Keto for a few months, and ended up with no change to my A1C and LDL up to 141!
