      You got about $800 dollars (of what it would be in pure gold and that was no where above 90%) of gold for that much work, waste and toxic waste?
      Buddy, you need a new job because that's awful and horrid for the environment.

    Great pour, it looks beautiful!
    If you find small microwaves, they have perfect large beaker sized turntables. Easy source for some free pyrex watch glasses. Some even have bumps in good spot to drip back near the pour spout.

    • @akgoldbear7669
      @akgoldbear7669  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching and commenting, I appreciate it. To be honest, I didn't quite understand what "perfect large beaker sized turntables" you are talking about 😊

    • @colonialcharlie8702
      @colonialcharlie8702 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha thanks, how about this.
      I use the pyrex turntables that come in small microwaves to cover my 2000 ml beaker, or 3000 ml beakers. They work really well. Seeing those beautiful nitrogen dioxide fumes brought this to mind 😂
      Oh and bigger microwaves have ones that i use for 5 gallon buckets. Very useful. 👍

    6:57 I'm not an expert, I just like these videos, I think chlorides are silver... 😜

    • @akgoldbear7669
      @akgoldbear7669  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, there is no silver in these pins, I have checked these pins for silver before. I think the manufacturer added lead to the copper and then plated the contacts with gold. By adding lead to copper, the manufacturer saves on metal. Lead is cheap and mixes well with copper. Thank you for continuing to watch my videos, thank you for that 🙂🖐

  • @johnross8939
    @johnross8939 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Very nice. If I understood correctly, you placed your plated pins in AR. No previous intermediate acid bath step. Interesting! No HCl to remove solder, no nitric bath to dissolve the base metals. Was this due to the volume of pins, or have you determined the prior steps aren't necessary?

    • @akgoldbear7669
      @akgoldbear7669  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Exactly these gold plated pins that are more profitable to dissolve straight in aqua regia. The pins do not contain silver and pins not magnetic. In my previous video i used almost twice as much nitric acid 🙂

    • @يعقوبحروب-ت6غ
      @يعقوبحروب-ت6غ ปีที่แล้ว

      @@akgoldbear7669Can I use this method for all guests other than just magnets, or might other metals such as decor spoil the royal water and thus lose the gold? I am currently working with the sulfur and nitric method, then aqua regia, based on your previous method?! May I have any advice from you? I follow you completely and appreciate your effort. I watch all your videos and support them. Thank you very much😍

  • @AbdoMarouf-gx1gb
    @AbdoMarouf-gx1gb ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Why you clean HCl first and not nitric?

    • @akgoldbear7669
      @akgoldbear7669  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello. To avoid metatinic acid getting into the gold, I boiled the gold powder in hydrochloric acid. Nitric acid forms metatinic acid H2SnO3, this acid forms a white sediment insoluble in nitric acid. This sediment can be dissolved in concentrated hydrochloric acid. Gold will not be pure unless it is boiled in hydrochloric acid. Purity and quality are important to me. Thanks for asking 🙂✌

    Hi AK. I really enjoy your videos. I'm building a lab area with a fume hood at the moment so I can try doing these experiments for myself.
    I have a couple of questions.
    What kind of torch set-up do you have?
    When you're rinsing with water from the kettle. Is that just tap water?

    • @akgoldbear7669
      @akgoldbear7669  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello. I'm glad you liked my video and what I do. Initially I used a large professional acetylene cutter. But I realized that this is not comfortable, not comfortable for me. I replaced the acetylene industrial cutter with a small propane torch. And I'm very happy about it. The torch is lightweight, easy to hold, and the torch is very powerful. I bought a torch on eBay. This small torch is designed to use acitylene. I don't like working with acetylene. I replaced the heating tip to work with propane. And I'm very happy!
      I use only clean water. I have my own well and my water does not have any chlorine 🙂🖐
