    Hey AK bear. You have a lot of good material to work with!👌 Many details are completely plated in gold. gold plated transistors always have a good gold plating. Not like in your last video about 800 grams of pins with low gold plating. Great video! 👍

    At 4:33, good videos, maybe you won't lose your gold with the diffused tin, I get what you're saying, so I did a batch of pins recently but I soaked mine in hydrochloric and hydrogen peroxide for about 3 or 4 weeks even though there wasn't hardly any soldier on the pins because I shaved the pcb's with a puddy knife and hammer , after soaking I reverse electroplated them, previous to the reverse electroplating approach I was using the chemical process, if you have any hydrochloric you think there may be precious metals in solution but still a solid cement out using various aluminum then when reactions stop but the hydrochloric is still dirty and dark add bleech slowly, same with nitric without hydrochloric add bleech to drop out sediment

    Hi, I'm a computer technician from México. I've keep for a few years 80+ motherboard, 80+ DIMM's, 80+ SODIMM's, 100+ processors, a big box of optical and floppy drive controller boards, a nice bunch of lcd driver and pci boards, about 2Kg of gold plated pins and connectors... It's worth the effort trying to process all of this? First time trying, none of this materials have had any costs, all are replaced ruined parts.

    At 5:28, if you think there's plastic in it boil it until down close to the amount of acid you started with when it begins to boil over a water boiling temp the ph increased let cool and the plastic will settle at bottom as a sludge if any, including the water in the fresh acid you started with boil a percentage down at water boiling temp, the metals in the acids and water will seem to lower the boiling point but it's just the opposite the metals are heating up becoming more concentrated, it'll boil over in 10seconds when the ph is reached and the water is evaporated out so you have to keep a constant eye on it and pull it off the heat, this is at the lowest boiling temperature

    Thank you

    • @akgoldbear7669
      @akgoldbear7669  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello. The material is a mixture of all kinds of pins, resistors and transistors. Some pins have a metal frame and, of course, they are magnetic. To dissolve such a mixture, i need just a little more acids. Hydrochloric acid dissolves the magnetic part of the material well. Yesterday I put a piece of metal into this solution to extract all the copper from the solution, today I pulled this piece of metal out of the bucket and the metal partially dissolved. Imagine, even dirty old hydrochloric acid, after gold has been precipitate with iron sulfate, still dissolves the metal 🙂

    Thanks for another great video! A couple of Questions: Since SMB to drop gold is a horrid smell is iron sulfate any better? Do you add a few mg's of sulfuric to your AR and could you do a video refining gold ore? Thanks again and keep up great work!

    • @akgoldbear7669
      @akgoldbear7669  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Working with sodium metabisulfite requires very good ventilation or working outside. Sometimes I use sodium metabisulfite and even working outside gives me a headache. SMB precipitates gold well, but it is a very toxic material. I only use smb if I don't have iron sulfate.
      Sometimes i adding sulfuric acid to the solution, it all depends on the material being dissolved.
      About gold ore, yes, there is such a plan. My friend has a private mine and he asks to test his stones with acids for gold. 🙂
