They should adopt a model for the base model of games to do re-prints. Physical was never supposed to be about missing a launch and can’t get a copy for less than double or triple the price. I’m talking base copies. Especially when you see the game on sale digitally sometimes for literally a couple of dollars but you can’t get a copy from a third party outside of $60-80. That pushes people literally the opposite of “forever physical”. You should take sign up pools, think MassDrop old style, when you hit 500 or whatever you do another print. It should never end until everybody who wants a copy basically has one. For however long people keep signing up. Anybody buying this junk purely for value to cry over isn’t doing anything for the physical market, which really is the bulwark against companies restricting your ownership. It’s bigger than collection value. It’s a fight against corporate greed, and if this is the future, then we’ve all lost. It’s just a smaller company banking on FOMO and greed.
PR crap. Just remember it’s over a year wait on collectors editions…. minimum ! I waited 2 plus years for Castlevania collection. Plus never over directly from them…. things will pop up cheaper on their Amazon account then form their website. I ordered Atari Mania, and by the time I got it from them directly they had already dropped their price on Amazon. They refused to price match their own prices !
The whole point of that company is to get physical games into peoples hands so we can preserve gaming. Not to speculate on what people consider "limited" runs so they can get their game to go up in value. If you want to do that go buy pokemon cards or something. Games is meant for playing, not speculating on. Sickening. To be clear, i've never purchased anything from them but the idea behind it I can rally around. We are losing gaming to digital crap that is going to disappear into the ether. I'm not defending their business practices, but we need more physical games.
The problem isn’t that people don’t understand that it’s an open pre-order the problem is you sit on a complete ready to ship Game for seven months we all are aware that production doesn’t start until after the game pre-order window closes what we don’t understand is how come it literally takes3 - 7 additional months sitting in your warehouse ready to be shipped before you send it out. Especially when you don’t even do trading cards anymore.
Here’s the thing with lrg, they’re not perfect obviously but they’re doing what needs to be done. Without them, all these smaller indie games would be stuck on the eshop and then erased from existence once nintendo shuts the console’s online features. They’ve made mistakes for sure but I have massive respect for their dedication to keep the physical copy alive, while publishers like fangamer and iam8bit only publish the widely successful indie games.
Especially looking at the current landscape of major companies putting out either half ass games or games that simply are up to the consumer standards, which the film and television industry has been dealing with for a while.
should prolly clarify i do really love fangamer, they have the BEST inserts and extras and it's $5 less with all the goodies you could ask for, but again they really only do physicals for mainstream already successful titles, you won't see be seeing rogue legacy 2 on there
They arent trying to keep it alive tho, they are cashing in on the disappearance of physical media thats it. If they were trying to keep it alive, they would at the very least, do yearly runs, or keep doing runs after certain amounts of time. They are creating an artificial scarcity and thats whats driving the value of their games.
The issue is with limited run is they're kinda shady with their buisness practice's, like the time they said they were going to release a Japanese game in English but only the box ended up being English. If they were just more honest with how they did things, that'd be fine. Plus their customer service is crap. Also, with their "forever physical" solgan, what happened to among us?
I would preorder from limited run way more if I didn’t live in Canada. Insane shipping costs. I wish the owner would consider allowing preorders through VGP in Canada so that we could get the games for the actual cost. In fact, I would buy more if there was a way to get free shipping for spending x dollars. A $50 game turns into $80 with shipping from LRG to Canada
I prefer the open window preorder and happy to wait. It’s no different to when a big AAA game gets announced months in advance and retailers take preorders the next day.
Makes me wonder why they cant provide more communication on their websites for each product in the production process instead of having no updates for some games years on end.
I only ever bought one game from Limited Run. The Turtles game Shredder's Revenge. I waited about 6 months for it to arrive and I paid about $60 including shipping to the UK. Not long after I bought it, I saw it for sale in my local store for about $25. Probably not exact the same version, but still.... hardly a stellar experience.
If you bought the base game and none of the add-ons then yes it was the exact same game. LRG has sent many games to big box retailers for less than what you paid for it to get it first.
@@williamkshaw not true. TMNT was also released at retail by Nickelodeon. That's the version he saw on the shelves. Josh adresses this in his video too: they don't HOLD the rights to games and if the devs/publishers want to do another physical run elsewhere, they absolutely can (and LRG has always made it abundantly clear)
My main thing would be if LRG could reprint games as I'd really love the price of LRG games to decrease along with letting others who missed out at the time to be able to get what they want.
Can't scream enough: do not do what this guy did by getting a 86k personal loan. The interviewer trying to use it as a ted talk moment is fucking insane.
While I do agree, he had faith things were going to hopefully work out. Bet he would do it all over again. Lots of success stories of people doing something similar and it working out. 100x more stories of it not, leaving people in financial ruin.
@@Ephesians-yn8uxhe literally said it was a predatory company with terrible terms…if you watch that and decide to follow suit you deserve the financial ruin
I wonder if LRG stopped putting out so many games at once, there might be more money to pay whoever is producing the products and alleviate some “production delays”.
I’ve had a really positive experience with LRG. Hopefully one day soon I’ll be able to go to the physical location. Super cool vid, man. I love the deep dive into the business side of things. People never really think about logistics and warehouse costs for storing goods. That’s one of the reasons Paramount Pictures would destroy or sell Star Trek sets and models. It was WAYYYY too expensive to maintain those warehouse costs when they could be putting that money towards other new projects. Can’t wait to get Assault Suits Declassified!!! Woot Woot!!!
I'll say this, I like what limited run does however I hate HOW they do it. Print a couple thousand copies and wait 6+ months for this thing to come to your door. Then if anyone else wants a copy, well tough luck because the collector bros who bought these games are gonna get pissy if we reprint Shantae and the Pirates Curse because that would mean their artificially expensive $400 switch game wouldn't be expensive anymore.
As a mainly PC collector, I don't really buy from limited run anymore because the games are typically just download codes in the box (case in point atm Beyond Good and Evil 20th Anniversary) I bought the C&C remastered and and sad it's mostly just a box of tat without a actual game inside. I imagine this is mostly down to the publisher rather than LRG, but still sad to see. I've no complaint about limited run themselves though, I've always gotten what I paid for, and I knew it was going to be a while before I got it. On the other hand, I bought the Wrath big box from 3drealms, 4 years ago and they are being completely silent, and basically ignoring customers on their discord about it.
when it comes to vinyl sales I'm pretty sure he's incorrect, if I remember correctly the sales comparative to the market has been nearly entirely flat for the last 30 years. It's very niche, and potentially in the future limited run may also be niche, it isn't bad if they are the best at the logistical component and the contract negotiations.
It's because you hold people's money for a year + before giving them their product. Making interest on their dollar until its convenient for you to ship them their games. I've seen people get their game and 2yrs later I get mine. Like wtf kind of business is this? If you cant produce games as fast as you are stealing ones money maybe you should backpeddle and slow down a bit. Gamestop, NIS America, Big Bad Toy Store as well as others dont take your money until the item is ready to ship.
What gets me is everything thats sold it is available in thier shop, collectors edition i really wanted the other year sold out yet watching other TH-camr making tours of thier store it isn't sold out i saw stacks and stacks of them, make it make sense
They should address the disaster with shipping preorders. Nothing says awesome like having to write in to ask them to ship orders that were complete and sat for 7 months.
@@ShroomFactory Re-read. The order was complete as in fully instock and sat in their warehouse for 7 months after the 6 or so months of production. Only after asking if they could finally send the order that sat for so long did it go out.
While I appreciate what they do, it is completely ridiculous that they will often take several months after launch to deliver preorders. Like half a year after launch is absurd.
The problem with the No More Heroes releases was mostly that LRG sold NMH 1 + 2 SEPERATELY. While the Asia version had them BOTH on cart for less....nothing to do with the "limited" nature of the release from LRG.... Love Josh skipping over that issue.
I like limited runs initial idea, make games physical. I can 100% back that. But I don’t think Limited Run is a company you should be asking for business advice/practices to give to your viewers lol.
I really like the games they have and this company in general. I like that they have open windows for the games and i understand that you got to wait for this reason.
I used to love LRG, loved the idea and all of it, I remember when Josh said they’d never release a game until they were sure that it was complete with all updates and then I started getting games and I popped them in and it had to download an update essentially making the cart/disc useless, then I had to deal with customer service which was terrible and I was done, besides that the fumbles like the one with the Doom collection or sending a burned disc as a premium item, they used to be great but not anymore, better wait for Asian releases that are cheaper and include all the games, like blaster master or river city girls
I stopped watching after he finished talking about lead times. I think he is missing the point that people are annoyed by the inability to give accurate lead times and updates in the process. I've ordered from them once where the lead time was listed as 4-6 months and then waited almost 2 years for the actual items to come... That is unacceptable, just be honest about it and give updates. Will probably never buy from them again because of that experience.
He explained later in the video that he has people now that provide updates and respond to questions to better communicate where things are it in the process.
@@markusaurelius4015 Thanks for the heads up on that, couldn't dedicate the time to watch the whole video myself and just wanted to give my personal experience when purchasing from this company.
People that are upset with Limited Run do not understand open preorders, the secondary marketplace, and competitors. Open preordering allows the publisher to know how many copies to make so that everyone that wants it can get a copy. Then, the games go into production. Hence the long wait time. This is normal turnaround times for this business model. These are the same groups that complain about open pre-ordering keycaps (for mechanical keyboards) and they have to wait 1-2 years for them to get it in-hand. There is also gatekeeping with those that pre-order a copy. They want it to be limited and speculated it on. Human nature. The point of this was to get physical games into people's hands. But some people ruin it. I can understand why some people that cannot afford to continually purchase games as they release. To be fair, this is a small price to pay to obtain physical games and media because most big publishers would rather release digital games.
For the opening topic where they said we live in a society that expects their order the next day and when its not on their door step at 12 am they start shit. What he should have said is most people still act like theyre 11 and is given whatever they want whenever they want and if they dont get it then a tantrum is thrown and now were seeing 30s and 40s who act this way and it really bothers me that people dont see when they act insufferable toward another and instead think they are right and did nothing wrong rather than be adults and take responsibility.
Would have been nice for him to respond to: why get rid of collector cards; your competitors can still make them, why not you? And: why are orders sitting in your warehouse for 6 months before shipping ? People understand manufacturing time, but waiting 6 to 10 months after that for shipping is unacceptable.
They've already addressed this. They want any reason to speed up production. The card producer often hung up orders because they were slow. Cheaper for them to not include them and quicker turn around.
@@Flashtone08 yeah, I know what the reply was, but me thinks it was just an excuse. Heck, they didn't give them away for free - have them available for purchase. To remove them 100% makes competitors like Super Rare very attractive.
They have to have the stats to show approx how many they will sell. If it sells more than have a backorder available that comes with a wait? Seems they can do both
I agree some things have bugged me about the waiting, but knew that going in. The bigger one was when I would get a preorder though them for a few of those Star Wars games and while I was waiting there where 2 packs of the games for cheeper then the singles I still was waiting on. In the end they do put a lot of games I want on Switch that I want and I do not want to get games on the Switch digitaly thanks to that constant internet check.
I love physical games. I wish many games will be release physical like .Herc's adv, castlevania symphony of the night, Heart of darkness, skulo monkey, Batman the animated snes, wario collection, may be warcraf3 or starcraft3 on switch.
Its really interesting reading TH-cam comment sections sometimes because the things people come up with to complain about are so often based on bad information. Also, I'd bet a vast majority of potential buyers of physical media would and do still buy from Limited Run due to the game hitting them hard enough when something they love is announced, despite their stated disgust with LR. Great interview for sure!
Definitely. I've seen plenty of people on FB groups who claimed that they were boycotting LRG happily posting their copies of Castlevania Collection or Persona 3/4 a few months later.
Oh absolutely. I’ve had plenty of games where I was excited about the physical edition but knew it would take months or years to get it, so I buy the digital one for $15 or whatever and then wait it out.
my current issue with them is lack of news. I'm patient but jesus an update every other month for gex would help tremendously. it's sad seeing fans hype dying down because they have zero idea when a game will even be out for pre-order. im willing to trust them but they need to put in the effort. im right here money in hand and they're not even acknowledging us
Josh is petty though and a child. Ask people bad experiences with him. He made a tweet complaining about another companies shipping times. I tweeted back those in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones go get your own orders out. Nothing super bad, no death threats. Josh tracked down every open order I had and canceled them all. Smoothed things over with Doug. Had zero contact with them in over a month. Was allowed to order again. Then out of the blue he cancelled all my orders again and banned me from ordering. And I am not the only one who has had this kind of experience with him. They had people stocking Facebook groups and banning people for bad mouthing them. Like I’ve talked to dozens with similar experiences.
LGR lost me due to these long delays i made a huge mistake and order a game with a vinyl without thinking they ship everything all together so after over a year of waiting with no updates i had to fight my why to cancel it cause the game was out everywhere for cheaper. Then yeah LRG went overly political & Douglas leaving for "reasons" so i dont need to buy from LRG. Also the games they "release" get sold at so many places.
More important question: is Limited Run games still firing people for who they follow on Twitter? Really cool how they made sure I'd never give them another cent so long as they remain in business.
I mean the guy was following a bunch of alt-right accounts which reflects badly on the employee and the business as a whole. I think a bigger problem with LRG is the conditions of games that have been sent to customers, their shipping times, and their customer service. If an employee does something bad the business has a right to fire them.
what exactly about following "alt right" accounts is inherently bad, and enough to justify firing? what they do in their personal life has nothing to do with their job requirements. This is the whole philosophy behind "cancel culture" in a nutshell. Judge people based on their performance in the professional world alone. How does it reflect badly? Do they do the same for employees following "left" accounts? Never. Never happens. This is why things are going south as a whole. I do agree on your second point that the practices of the company as a whole, operating as intended and as advertised is what matters. To think following "alt right" accounts means default "bad" is strictly an ideological belief and not based in reality, its a bias. One "side" or the other being "the proper" isn't inherently correct or incorrect, but the powers that be want everyone on the same page, they hold the reigns of influence and will destroy you if you aren't on the "proper" side (the left). It is a huge problem. I for one will never support a company that removes people for not "towing the ideological line" and nobody should, whether left or right.
@mikebuynak5338 in the identity politics sense you're speaking of, being alt-right just objectively means you're a horrible intolerant person, whereas being "left" actually probably means someone is inclusive and progressive, which isn't typically a bad look for a company optics wise. That could very well reflect in the workplace, and you don't know how the employee actually behaved in the workplace, so to judge the actions of a company who wants to maintain public image is fully within their right. Stop being a baby lmao
@mikebuynak5338 it is correct that naz!sm is bad. Employee follows those accounts, customer sees that the employee follows these accounts, customer brings up this information and questions why the company would hire him if he had these beliefs or if the company shares these beliefs. The company sees that the employee has objectively bad beliefs, the company fires this person due to their actions reflecting poorly on the company. Stuff that people do in their private life can still get them fired at work if it gets brought up to the work from customers, free market.
@@Pabmyster HAHAHAHA, no. Being alt-right doesn't objectively mean you're a horrible person. Wow, the media has really driven people insane. By the way, the left are some of the least tolerant people you could ever meet.
I never cared about long shipping, but the quality is really gone down. I wait months for a game that is dinged up or the plastic is already torn open.
I got an immediate gripe with this video as a Shantae fan... While the standard release of Shantae and the Pirate's Curse on Switch was not limited, the Collector's Edition on Switch WAS. Under 3000 were made and were available in two batches on December 7th, 2018. Same applies to the 3DS version they recently re-released, these were limited too... Except this time it's both the Standard AND Collector's Editions. I want them to succeed, but this company has made some strange decisions over the years.
Just WHY wouldn’t we want physical printed media to hold real value or possibly even more when it’s in our possession.. he’s giving everyone all options along the products life.. allowing it to hold more value, not tryna shut any aspect of it down, Respect. In the future, LRG’s may be the only games left that work anymore.. instant preservation when it’s printed and made.. even if it’s lying in the dirt. Just don’t actually bulldoze em if it all fails😂 ..keep vetting the right passionate people to join the team.
BIGGEST QUESTION! When will Pay-In-4 payment options return? I have missed out on 4 months of releases due to this sudden change?? Why LRG? Not all of us have money on demand to place the preorder. Pay-In-4 helps!
Didn't address the girl who got fired for playing Hogwarts legacy. That's when I stopped buying limited run. They deleted my comment about it on their post, they just want to brush it under the rug like it never happened lol. Imagine getting fired from your job for playing a game...and I used to buy from them like monthly. I bought EVERY Gameboy game they released for like over a year but I just couldn't support a company that would do that to one of their employees. It sucks too because literally other than that, the owner seems like a really nice guy and I love their products.
I have no issue with limited run but Strictly Limited I have issues with no communication or updates of pre-orders that been in limbo for 4 or 5 years.
On the subject of game preservation, a classic lrg should provide a physical release for above any other is Cloudberry Kingdom. That would be the greatest thing ever.
I have no hate for this company (ordered from them once, still yet to arrive) but I was surprised that the video didn't address the recent controversies.
I really enjoyed this interview between two guys doing their best in a world of contention. Nothing they do will ever be good enough to satisfy the angry, loud, vocal minority of gamers that send hate their way every chance they get.
So sick of people getting rightly criticized and then faking “death threats” to deflect. Limited Run sucks, caved to political bullies and has ridiculous delays. Why any game company continues to partner with them is a mystery.
Yeah he "caved in" to political bullies because people who do things you don't like can only be doing it against their will. Maybe he doesn't agree with transphobic rhetoric and didn't want someone like that working at HIS company. And if you think there's no possibility that he's getting death threats over this, you haven't spent enough time on the internet lmao
If Limited Run did a run of Final Fantasy I-VI Pixel Remaster on PS4, especially the Collector's Edition... they'd go right back in my good graces. Do good things with your platform. There's a LOT of demand for that game, particularly the PS4 version. Hell, even the Switch CE version would sell like crazy. And it would murder the HILARIOUS mark up vultures on ebay.
@@dnengel84 Except that person that was fired did nothing in the name of the company and just had their own opinions outside of their work. And the thing who created the issue in the first place turned out to abuse children. So LRG chose to defend weirdos who abuse children than defend their employees freedom to have their own opinions outside of work. This is on top many, many other controversies including one of their ex owners having issues with female employees (there would be 2 people owning LRG in this interview before that). I highly recommend people watch "the truth about LRG" video too.
I literally waited years for some of these Limited Run games. All of the controversy around Limited Run is self inflicted and they completely deserve it. I'd literally rather buy a title from a different publisher.
This is why I like living in the EU alot of the games they do we get or end up getting a wider release over here. Tomb Raider 1-3 is being done by limted run with an obvious limited release and long waiting time but we in the EU are getting a wider release of it in September where we can just walk in a store and buy it.
Costumer service is not that good ! From all the games I bought from them one some how got lost , I checked the tracking number and looks like the game when back to the warehouse and never knew what happened after that 🤷🏻♂️!
Been a customer for a long time, they make really cool stuff, but what broke the camel´s back for me wasnt shipping time, but how they slap Tax on at the end that made everything too expensive. I know America Does things differently, but where im from, the pricetag already have all the extra in it, no extra magic Fee att the checkout that isnt Shipping. Oddly enough, ive only run into this situation with LimitedRun....
he should be more open with customers and what expectations should be pre/post ordering. theres no reason for it to take over a year to receive an order. if you believe theres going to be production issues, you have to account for it with a percentage of returns/unfulfilled orders and allow for refunds.
bruh LRG's main problem is that they don't keep in touch with people who want their stuff. give some news, updates, anything. they announced gex more than half a year ago and it's been radio silence since. is it coming out? are there issues? is there a better ETA? for all we know they've abandoned it and we will never see it and that's fine. what's not fine is keeping people in the dark and acting like we're in the wrong for wanting to get a status on it.
Straight from the beginning of the video, within 30 seconds, I have problems. LRG aren't exclusively physical because putting a code in a box half the time is not physical. No game, indie or not, has a right to success. Edit: And now he's attempting to justify missing release dates by a year or more (with next to zero communication) and letting down not just customers, but clients too. LRG has nothing to do with videogame preservation either - they're about videogame limited editions at best, and those have a reputation. GoG has more to do with videogame preservation than LRG does, and does more for preservation. Yeah, I have no time for this guy. Their customer service was (and probably still is) laughably bad. Blah blah unlicensed cartridges, blah blah CD-Rs.
LOL. I have spent 40 years getting goods to my warehouses and out to consumers. Love the traffic management business. You accomplish something every day in it.
Great video But the only negative thing i have about LRG is the shipping cost overseas. I tried to get persona 4 golden for a long time but the shipping cost was 100 usd around the time i wanted to order from the site! Now its much more normal but it’s very annoying because VGP don’t sell it anymore.
I literally order from LRG every week so now I dont really have to wait a year to get my games. I have a constant flow of games coming in. I dont mind waiting. Id rather wait and get to preorder guarantee than having preorder limited and not get one at all.
Not to defend them, again, or you could buy digital games and get absolutely nothing. People seem to be quick to jump on that, but then most are buying digital crap that they don't even get a CDR for. Have some perspective. And no i'm not defending them sending out CDRs wtf.
@@youtubasoarus Heres some perspective: Digital games can still be reverse engineered or cracked if needed (delisting, for example). Don't forget most physical games now require an update to run anyway. The indie games they publish physically are digital anyway, so people will have those files. The problem isn't as much the physical copies but the proprietary software/hardware these consoles have to run on (which, given Sony and MS are going for more of an "ecosystem" on PC-like hardware the PS4-5 and Xbone-Series will be easier to backup). Physical copies should always exist for any medium, but nobody should have to put up w/anti-consumer practices. Instead of fixing a problem they're becoming Ubisoft or Activision; taking the market for a wild ride nobody asked for, treating the consumer like dirt etc.
@@TheT3rr0rMask Sure but also no. I'm vouching for physical OWNERSHIP. The DRM is a secondary issue. If I buy a game for ps4, for example, I own it. It doesn't require updates and I can play and then sell it on if I want to. You can't do that with digital. These games they are producing can be resold at any time and you retain ownership. I know a lot of really new games are making you update and such which is why i'v steered clear of them. I won't spend a fucking cent on digital or games that require subscriptions or any of that crap.
physical media companies doing multiple runs with preorder periods could be a middle ground solution that allows people to continue to buy physical media with fewer of the logistical problems

I don't know, I like it from the perspective of understanding the vision and love for video games, but he definitely didn't get into the controversy like he said at the beginning which hurts the video.
When they fired Kara Lynne I lost all respect for Limited Run. Used to love the service they provided. I was shocked that they felt that was justified. Made me realize that that their politics mattered more than anything else. Kara didn’t deserve to be fired for being excited for Hogwarts Legacy and following some right leaning accounts.

Well well well do I have some news for European buyers lmao
get them from PNP or VideogamesPlus. That's what I do

The shipping being 15-20 USD is ridiculous while VGP and PNP charges 10 USD / CAD is crazy

What about the burned CD’s they release lol. They never talked about that in the video
They really didn't. Oh well..

WOW.....What a hard hitting report from a re seller!....And it's not even like they talked about this whole script before hand or ANYTHING! LOL!
He learned well from Alyssa Mercante's playbook with his gaslighting.
I don't think he wants anyone to do it either. He is just trying to learn more about the history of the company and the CEO's life.
You, sir, missed the whole point 😂
Yeah they even flashed the predatory website. This is an asinine thing to promote to such a large and mostly dumb audience.
Then go buy these older games from them….oh wait.
@Byrne998 oh wait... I own them all already 🤣. Epic fail talking smack. Better luck next time lol
What gets me is everything thats sold it is available in thier shop, collectors edition i really wanted the other year sold out yet watching other TH-camr making tours of thier store it isn't sold out i saw stacks and stacks of them, make it make sense
i'm surprised there's not a service to physically buy their stuff from their store and send it over
Watch the video. He explains in clearly.
They should address the disaster with shipping preorders. Nothing says awesome like having to write in to ask them to ship orders that were complete and sat for 7 months.
They clearly explain that it's a pre-order and production will take several months. Do people not know how to read?
we'll only give you our physical game if you send us a physical letter in return
Now they're doing the same for Turok. Meanwhile Tomb Raider got put in one disc.
I used to love LRG, loved the idea and all of it, I remember when Josh said they’d never release a game until they were sure that it was complete with all updates and then I started getting games and I popped them in and it had to download an update essentially making the cart/disc useless, then I had to deal with customer service which was terrible and I was done, besides that the fumbles like the one with the Doom collection or sending a burned disc as a premium item, they used to be great but not anymore, better wait for Asian releases that are cheaper and include all the games, like blaster master or river city girls
there's nothing worse than putting a cartridge in and realising you have to download the game onto the system
I’ve never had that happen. Maybe their quality control has gotten fixed since then. Usual wait time has been like 4-6 months
@@austintaylor5683 Got a box from them a week ago, ordered in April, 2022. So... no.

I’ve always said if you can’t hold it in your hands you don’t own it ,I’ll never go digital
I'm patient but jesus an update every other month for gex would help tremendously. it's sad seeing fans hype dying down because they have zero idea when a game will even be out for pre-order. im willing to trust them but they need to put in the effort. im right here money in hand and they're not even acknowledging us
I just noticed the perfect 1 hour edit. Well done, Riff!
What a psychopath
So scmmy... wow
GameStop should partner with this guy. Put him on the map bigtime
Limited run is basicly overpriced glorified ROM carts

They deleted my comment about it on their post, they just want to brush it under the rug like it never happened lol. Imagine getting fired from your job for playing a game...and I used to buy from them like monthly. ‘GREED’ .
The gaslighting is ridiculous! The death threat mantra is because the criticism is accurate.
Why? Not many companies will publish a small Indy game.
Yeah he "caved in" to political bullies because people who do things you don't like can only be doing it against their will.

It's not reseller friendly if everyone gets a chance to pre-order it at whatever quantity they want.
bruh LRG's main problem is that they don't keep in touch with people who want their stuff. give some news, updates, anything. they announced gex more than half a year ago and it's been radio silence since. is it coming out? are there issues? is there a better ETA? for all we know they've abandoned it and we will never see it and that's fine. what's not fine is keeping people in the dark and acting like we're in the wrong for wanting to get a status on it.

But the only negative thing i have about LRG is the shipping cost overseas.

Don't forget you can get your own Walmart CDRs to burn your own games with. We can all start our own LRG :D

I love your model, but I do wish all copies had print run numbers on them. As a comic collector, man I love having those print runs on the labels. Also, as a freak, I like to try and find palindromes of those prints.
I'm rather disappointed, I was expecting a super villain based on the comments.
Politics and people that have never ordered one game from lrg.
@@Flashtone08 I've ordered numerous games from Limited Run. I would honestly search out or wait for another publisher to release the same game.
Firing Kara Lynn made me lose respect and stop supporting this company.
100% this. Fired for just following accounts on X/Twitter that apparently this man-baby didn't like. I will never support this company after seeing that behavior.
Thank you!!!
@SeanMcCoskey what a snowflake.
Never had issues with them, I preferred visiting their store since they are here in NC.
This was embarrassing to watch. What a bunch of soft serve ice cream questions that address none of the controversy.
What's embarrassing is how bent out of shape you are about it?😂
I don't know, I like it from the perspective of understanding the vision and love for video games, but he definitely didn't get into the controversy like he said at the beginning which hurts the video.
it was an interview, not an interrogation lmfao
But what do those games scan on Amazon?! Caleb focus on the money 🤑💰🤑💰
Alan Wake 2 collectors edition is being sold by Limited Run. Was going to get it but heard so many horror stories about them. Not anymore.
im more bummbed out by them not having regular version copies , 200 just for a copy is wild
@@JJsAdventure23 they’re selling the deluxe edition for $80 at Best Buy and GameStop. It comes with the season pass DLC. That’s the one I’m getting.
Yes they do look online at BB for example
