I agree this was not an excessive use of resources, but rather necessary to account for the number of injuries and evaluations. Thank you for watching!
Yes, I can imagine it happens very quickly and you realize after what happened. I luckily haven't been in an accident myself, but I've seen two accidents happen right in front or behind me (they weren't really bad but there were injuries in one of them) and I've obviously seen aftermaths of several bad and fatal crashes over the few months
Yes you will see huge response of police fire and EMS whenever it deals with children you will always see the huge response if it's an accident School shut down anything that deals with children I'm grateful that everybody was okay
Yes. A couple of years ago, there was a smell of electrical smoke coming from the HVAC system at my school so someone called 911 and reported it, and there was a huge response when there ended up not being an actual fire. The HVAC system still needs to be replaced though.
The two buses that hit each other are big deal for a semi truck hit the bus and hit another bus that is children on those buses I don’t appreciate someone saying this is a big deal first of all these young children could have been seriously hurt so put away your negativity and have more confidence in the service of the ambulances that came to help and move over for those emergency vehicles
Yes it is. That is actually the Great Lakes Naval FD. Here in Lake County, IL, we have the big US Navy recruiting base in North Chicago, IL. The Great Lakes Naval FD is the fire protection service for the base. Thank you for watching!
@@WooSungShim I was about to ask why would there be a naval base in that state, then I realized the great lakes are connected to the ocean by canals XD.
I remember being on the bus scared for my life I was fine I saw a kid with his whole lip bleeding thank you god and freight line busses for my and my friends safety
i think you missed the red ram truck that is parked on the street. When the school bus came out, i saw that pick up start to u turn. i think that is a FD unmarked unit
Andy Ye i think it is since even the trailer is red and the back windows are tinted now it could be just a coincidence but how many people have a red truck with bed cap and a red trailer to match
Here in Illinois we have MABAS(mutual aid box alarm system). This is pre planned in case of a major incident. The on scene cheif doesn't have to think of what he needs, just asks for a box and the aid is automatic. More time for him to focus on this or a major fire. I ws a firefighter back in the 70's. Had many a call where we needed a box
Yes there is! Lake County, IL houses one of the largest (I think it is the only navy boot camp in the nation) in Great Lakes, IL which is closer to North Chicago, IL. The Great Lakes Naval FD is the fire protection service for the base. Thanks for watching!
It was a tractortrailer that rear ended a bus pushing that bus into another. Also notice the severity of the damage to the tractor trailer. Fd made the right call for all those ambulances considering how bad the damage was and therewere children in those buses

Was mundelein ambulance there I didn't see it?? I use to live in mundelein and worked at the hospital in Libertyville
@@davidjibson4199 Yes, Mundelein FD did respond and they were due on the first alarm for Box Alarm #46-99. Thank you for watching!
Thank you for your service and community too
Love the Navy fire truck. Those things are awesome. We also have 2 navy fire company’s in my home town of Groton Connecticut
Definitely not excessive on the resources. They could have thrown in two mass causality busses and it still wouldn't been excessive in my opinion.
I agree this was not an excessive use of resources, but rather necessary to account for the number of injuries and evaluations. Thank you for watching!
Woo-Sung Shim also the amount of hands they need for refusals to be signed by parents and kids
Being in a accident a couple years ago this stuff is scary.

Amazing video. Would love to see more like this!
Thank you so much for your support! I am always committed to making videos like this
Is it just me or is the damage on the semi worse than on the school buses
I noticed that as well. The front end damage of the semi seemed worse than the rear damage of the first bus it hit. Thank you for watching!
Those busses are built to protect kids. So they are pretty sturdy.
Nicely edited!
Thank you so much!
Woo-Sung Shim Welcome!

I agree. The extra ambulances were necessary due to the amount of injuries and subjects that needed to be evaluated. Thank you for watching!
8:14 is that a navy fire truck I see there? I swear it says US Navy on the front.

I hope all the kids were okay but I believe school buses should have seat belts
I agree! Thank you for watching!
Those are newer models they should have seat belts.
Great video!

Oh that guys gonna get massive fines💸

U know it's a bad scene when military apparatus responds

Our base covered 10 square miles around the Air Force base for all car accidents or major incidents with both fire and our hospital based ambulance.

Yes, this was a planned field trip by one of the YMCA summer camps in Northbrook, IL. Thank you for watching!
I was in it
what happens in th3rp when localchanel gets access to a bus:
They crash instantly
Ayee the Navy fire truck responded. Is their a naval base or air station nearby?

Thank you so much!
Maybe someday seatbelts will become mandatory for school buses. 🤷♂️
Cool
Thank you for watching!
Too much information to comprehend on the dispatch.
Need to shorten gaps
Thank you for your suggestion!
Please change the frame rate on your camera. This 60fps is almost unwatchable.
Isn't 60 fps supposed to be smoother?
@@WooSungShim idk, I could see the video clear on my screen
Woo-Sung Shim 60fps is perfect.
You really can’t notice past 32 FPS anyway
Smooth for me
Big deal two buses rear end each other. That's overkill of resources
they evaluated 144 people and transported 17, sounds like they know what they are doing.
Seems like it as a good call given the situation. You run your imaginary fire department how you want and let the pros do their thing.

So if your son or daughter was in that school bus would you be complaining about how many people show up. Nah soooo 😂
Dan Sisson what a douchebag troll
