I am so glad I came across your podcast. Now I am trying to listen to the podcast on daily base. But I still have to process a lot of episodes to catch up. Every single episode is brilliant and very helpful for us. Thank you. You are both doing incredible job.
I don't drink or smoke, but I have been having problems with my health, a particular case. I exercise every day and eat well. The conclusion of this is: I must schedule a day and time for go to doctor. 😅😊 Second, I learned a lot of new words. Thank you to Kat and Mark. 👏🏼
Hi teachers, I really enjoy this method and this video really explains and covers all sides of a meeting with a doctor excellent lesson, looking forward to see the next one, I wish if you add a new topic where you take an audio from the news or about science and you break it down , thanks again for your efforts 😊
Sophie that's a great idea! I will add to the list of topics ideas for the future, I think probably we can do that in October/November, thank you for your kind words and we're really happy to have you!
Awesome episode 👍. So useful!🥇 Kat, I know it's headache, stomachache, etc., but I thought it was much more common to say "a pain in my leg" or "my leg hurts".
I think that made it into the video, yes we say headache toothache earache stomach ache…. I think that’s mostly it haha and for anything else “an ache in my… “ or “a pain in my…” would be perfect 👍
Thank you so much for joining us! Stomach pain is a great phrase as well and would probably be used for deep deep pain, but I think for our daily stomach problems, stomachache would be perfect! Have a lovely weekend!
I really appreciate your wonderful video!! I'm a doctor, and I'd like to talk to my patients in English if they are English speakers. I don't want to talk with translater if it's possible. 😊So this video is really helpful for me. ✨ Thanks a lot!!!
Thank you so much for your hard work! Your patients will appreciate it. I think when I go to the doctor, I like a mix of professionalism and empathy, because I'm sick I want my mommy but also my doctor! haha , thank you for joining us today!
Hi. Thanks for this video. Can you make a video on how to talk to kids? I sometimes want to express disappointment, direction, say not to fight with a little brother, ask help (chores), how I can call them as a mom and etc but I can’t find the right words.😂 That would be super helpful for me as a mom! 😅❤
That’s a great video idea! We will put it into our list of video ideas for hopefully next month ☺️ thanks for joining us and we hope you continue to enjoy the videos!
Great idea! We've got some daily routine videos in our season 1 podcast playlist, but we'll add some interesting conversations to our small talk play list as well ! th-cam.com/play/PLBlg2aDmdIfvlIKSdURe7IftAvZps5TwR.html

Hi, Mark. You said during this video while talking about nausea : " this feeling is when you want to be sick maybe because of the dizziness ..." would you talk about the " want to " more, please? Thanks.
Good question. In English we can also use "I want" to talk about our body wanting something. We would rarely say: "It wants to" to talk about my health. So when we feel sick, we still use "I want to", even though we mean our body is having a reaction. Like: - I want to be sick - I think I want to throw up. We also use "need to" commonly. - I think I need to be sick - I think I need to throw up - I think I need to lie down for a bit. I hope that makes sense!
I have the flu currently 😷 so, I really feel sick ,fatigue , have headache. On a scale of 1 to 10 ,I felt it like 100.😁 My annoyance is instensifying as to I was still sick a few weeks ago . Viruses have been attacking me recently quite badly😂
nooooo, I'm so sorry to hear that! We were a bit sick with what we suspect was covid, on and off again for about 2 or 3 weeks, feeling much better a couple of months later, but it was a long, tiring journey! We hope that you feel better ASAP!
Hello :) I have a question. Do you have a word for the sickness(or condition) when people eat food too quickly so they don't digest it well causing some kind of clogging??
Good question. I'm not totally sure, but the first one that comes to mind is "indigestion". That's usually a stomach pain when you eat too fast or too much. Does Korean have a special name for it?
@@highlevellistening Yes. We do actually. And it is funny we have folk remedies to treat this sickness such as drinking coke or poke on the thumb with a sharp needle to release some drops of blood XD
We totally agree! We're still just two people working hard to make videos for our students, we hope to make more materials for our students to help them learn more in the future!

@@highlevellistening yeah, it does make sense, but i think it's British English, right? Thanks.
The phrase "be sick" is more common in the UK yes.
In the USA you are more likely to hear: "throw up" or "vomit"

Thanks
