Dang Starfield going for gold knowing how to use more cores! So there you have it. People on budgets just need to look out for defunct servers to use for gaming!
@@RememberThisTech Nice! Especially since their drivers have matured quite a bit. Just keep in mind the CPUs they perform best with. I read they can be a bit picky.
It would be interesting to see the E5 1660 test repeated. Encouraging though. I understood Starfield to be good for 8 cores. Interestingly I can play it (with lots of FSR) on my old FX8350@4.6ghz, with a GTX1660ti.
i have the same cpu and mainboarrd combo. ive been pretty happy with it with 1440 p when i have it. Now i have a ultrawide at 1080p. i still get the same great experiance with a rx 6600 in games!
Hi there. Seems the most likely. That's when some of the games preferred the more cores from the 2680. But also keep in mind that some games can utilize more cores but some are not written or optimized to do so.
@KunaX3 Hi there and welcome to the channel. This hopefully helps a lot of people. Most companies push people to the newest and latest and greatest video card or cpu. Most people can get buy with just upgrading their video card etc. Depends on what resolution they game at.
@sonkiucdort Hi there. The cpu should boot up to the 2.9 when heavy loads call for it. Only then. If not double check your bios settings to make sure nothing was changed.
quick question i’m thinking about getting a pc for christmas im trying to get something better than my ps5 is a Intel Xeon E5-2680 V4 3.3GHz boost with a 3050 or a 3060 any much better?
@kymadejustin Hi, and welcome to the channel. If you're mainly used to console gaming and just game, then I'd say that the ps5 gpu is better than a 3050. Some say it's close to an Amd 6700, but I can't verify that. But if you want to do more than just game, a pc can edit videos, games, and web browses with ease. But I'd got a better video card with the setup like an Amd 6700xt 12gb or maybe a newer system like an AM5 chipset with a new Am5 cpu. You would get more like out of the newer chipset and cpu, but it would cost a bit more than this setup I featured. Amazon has a lot of black Friday sales right now. They have a Ryzen 8600g 6c 12t cpu for 160 $, and there's a gigabyte motherboard for 135$ and ddr5 6000 32 gb set. You could game on this setup until you could get more money for a dedicated gpu. I'll put the links in the description section below in the case you want to check them out. Let me know what way you choose.
Honestly after glancing from the 1% lows especially for 1440p i say 2680v4 is slightly better of the two given 1440p results which im half tempted to replace with my 2697v3 in my hp z440 there.
@endergamer4545 Hi there! It's got more cache and that can be good for some games. Plus if you do anything other than gaming like editing then those extra core can help. If your HP z440 supports it and you can grab one for a decent price why not try it. Perhaps do a couple benches to see how current cpu and new one works

¡Salud!
No one recommends 2697v3 anymore. You're literally killing your motherboard and the power consumption is insane. The better choices are 2690v4, 2667v4 or if you get lucky to get 2696v4

@FiveTimeZero Hi there, and welcome to the channel. Sometimes, the fans and fins on a laptop need to be cleaned out with compressed air if you haven't done that too. As far as your desktop gaming build, it's a pretty decent setup. Make sure you have a good nvme drive. As far as the power supply don't go cheap on it. Buy a name brand with at least 550 watts to 650. Gold or a minimum or bronze rating. Seasonic, be quiet, msi, Segotep, Corsair all make descent power supplies, to name a few. As far as a good 1080 p gpu if buying new a gtx 4060 will be decent, 1440p maybe a 6700xt or a 4070. If buying used a 1070 8gb or a 1080 or a 2080 or a 3060 or 3080. Realy depends on the resolution you play at and how much money you have to spend. Let me know how you make out and what parts you get. Thanks for watching and commenting I appreciate it.
