Thanks for stopping by! What is your favorite instrument in Logic?

The DMD is very nice for people who can chop samples really well and enjoy an MPC emulated workflow for sure

Everyone has different use cases. While I haven't thought of ranking the Logic instruments, I do have favourites .
I use Alchemy in almost every project. It's very deep ( beyond presets). I get lost in sound design sessions with this synth.
I use a lot of Sculpture Synth for making strange plucked and struck instruments as well as sound design.
You can see already my " use cases" and the type of composition I gravitate to :)
I do use the ES2, it's a beast for making aggressive sounds.
Also in general workflow I find I'm using Retro Synth, Drum Machine Designer, Drum Kit Designer and all versions of the Sampler ( previously ESX24).
I've been a Logic convert since "Logic Studio" (2007) and Cubase before that lol.

Curious as to how exactly you implement the Logic Drummer plug-in.

Definitely! The Logic Drummer can be added to a project by clicking the + button to create a new channel. From there, you can create a Drummer Track.
The drummer track uses an algorithm to play beats based on the parameters for that specific drum region. The drummer regions you create are actually just MIDI regions that you can drag and drop onto any other MIDI instrument.
I’d love to dove into this a bit more in a future video.

@@GregAllison Got it thanks! Do you always do a play along? Is that system resource intensive.

By play-along, do you mean record while the rest of my tracks are live and playing?

@@GregAllison Talking about the live feature where it plays along live while you - for example - record a guitar part. I believe it susses out the beat and the tempo etc. But this process is also pretty heavy on the computer’s resources?
