Great question! When mixing a project, I will set up my reverbs on sends, but when just doing a sound design project like this, I always just slap a reverb on the channel strip of the track I’m working on. Especially if I bounce in place, the concern of stressing out my cpu from having a dozen+ reverb plugins is minimized because I just delete the reverb plugins after bouncing.

I'm going to get this one. Such a beautiful piano. Do you know if this is a "pro" version of the original imagiro piano or are they 2 different pianos completely? On the website, they don't mention this being a "pro" version so i assume they are 2 different ones.

@igorsenayoutube great question! They are two separate instruments and my understanding is that they’re two entirely different sample libraries/pianos. Imagiro Piano is actually one of the upcoming pianos I’ll be demo’ing as well, so stay tuned!

Hello! I love this question. When I play these preset videos, it's almost all improvisation, based on how the tone and effects of the preset inspire me to play.

Hello! It took me a sec of sitting down at the keyboard to map out since my brain kind of goes on autopilot when playing. I played this video in the key of E Major, and the chords for that opening clip were A, E, B, G#maj/C, C#m | A, E/G# C#m, B | A, B, C#m, B/D#, E | A, B Not grand staff notation, but I hope that helps simplify the chords in that one. That passing chord in the opening phrase of that clip just has that chromatic walk up between the B and C#m, then that B first inversion after that last C#m.

Hi there! I’m not familiar with the ST4 error. Did you install Pianoverse through the IK Multimedia installer?

@@GregAllison yes l installed directly through the installer...really weird

From what I can find online, the st4 error has to do with the location that the instruments’ samples are installed. Perhaps Pianoverse is looking in the wrong directory folder for the samples? Try checking the location of the actual sample files and making sure that’s the correct folder in Pianoverse.

I’d say so. For the price, I thought it sounded pretty good!

If I’m not mistaken, by default, the keyboard is spread out in a stereo setup, so lower frequency notes will play slightly heavier in the left side of the mix, whereas higher notes notes on the right side of the keyboard will sound slightly louder in the right side of the mix. This can be changed in the tone settings of the plugin though.

Hi Jason! This question has come up several times over the past couple of months. I believe that Native Instruments may have revamped their NOIRE presets in a recent update, causing the tone to be different than back when I recorded this video. If you go into the plugin tone settings, you may be able to get the particles to be more prominent. For what it’s worth, I have also found that a slight adjustment in my keyboard’s MIDI velocity curve helps make the piano a bit easier to play consistently and consequently, a little bit louder.

Hello! Im seeing several comments like this. I didn’t do any processing on my Kontakt plugin when I recorded this video, so it leads me to wonder if Native Instruments modified the out-of-the-box settings on the instrument. You can definitely that a shot. Something I’ve even done from time to time is adjust the MIDI velocity curve so a steeper amount, so my lighter notes are a bit stronger. Noire is such an expressive, dynamic instrument, so that may also impact how your playing translates through the instrument.

I read further into the specs and even opened up the pedal to find a non-BBD chip. Packaging states all analog circuitry, but I definitely should’ve done more research of my own. Oh well. 🥸

Usually even just listening by ear and moving the rate knob while you play or messing with the oscillation usually gives it away for me. It does have more cut than most analog delays but still has a bit of warmth like an analog. I do like the gritty, chirpy oscillation of digital delays that are designed to sound like analog delays.

The pedal has true bypass, so when turned off, the pedal does not affect tone in any way.
