I bought this box for myself back in 2012. Even back then it was hard to find and I had to buy it online, have it shipped to a friend's house in the US (because I lived in Perú back then and shipping would have added even more to the price), then when my friend came to visit me in Perú she brought it with her in her suitcase. I paid $1,800 USD for it back then, it costs even more now because they cannot be found. I am so glad I invested on it back when I was single and had the money to do so. I could never justify getting something like that now, but oh, it is a DREAM for artists! Someday I'll teach my children how to use the pencils and the pastels and all the things in it. And I'm sure it will last until my grandkids come, the supplies are such good quality, unlike anything else I've used.

@@m1churr0 Polychromos are oil based, as opposed to Prismacolors, which are wax based and leave a sheen when coloring. The polychromos are opaque and I love them. They're a joy to work with!

same- and i have this problem when one of my pencils fall down i get paranoid at myself thinking the lead is broken inside and ill just clean up everything and put it away and take like a month to make me forget that existed.

@Blu Red That is the problem of big sets like this. Rich pro artists prefer to buy colors they need and supplies they need. Not everything in one big box. They just don't need it. Watercolor pencils, oil-based penсils, pastels, charcoal, water-soluble graphite. Who need it all together? May be students need it but they are too poor to pay for a big wooden box too.
I entered the video and when I saw your comment I went to see how many years ago this video surprised me when I saw that 9 years ago the quality of the video is still excellent.. 🌹 really amazing.

I have tons of stuff from them. Here in Germany, you don't see the Polychromos like at all, I just know that they exist because I got into art. Here they are like a normal every day brand, with coloured pencils for kids and students. You can even find them at a 1€ shop😂
