Rebecca is a passionate Singer-Songwriter/Vocal coach/mentor /impressionist/photographer/creative junkie /self- development lover not a hater.
“I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well, maybe but it’s true. So what’s motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2016. However, despite not being able to walk for a few weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn’t an easy time but I won’t let fear dictate my life. I didn’t think ‘why me’, there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it’s not always smooth sailing. It’s true when you hear, ‘Life is short’, the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and try to practice gratitude everyday…It’s so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…we are all specks of dust…Also, thank you for all your support. It means a lot. I have suffered from anxiety from the past and self-confidence, (yeah hard to see now right) didn’t think I was ‘good, or worthy enough’ but I feel I have a new lease of life, don’t really care as much and want to show you guys what I have! : ) You are all awesome and without you, there would be no channel.

Lara Fabian is absolutely mesmerizing to watch and listen to. You feel what she is singing. She is amazing.
Lara Fabian is classically trained. Adagio is a classical orchestral piece that Lara has given words both in English and first in Italian. If you were blown away by this, you should hear the Italian. That's where Lara is in full mastery of the song. Adagio is Italian and is truly a living piece of vocal artwork in Italian.

Her Caruso performance was stunning. She once did it with David Foster in 2011 The Hitman tour and he was so amazed by her voice. Even Michael Bolton and Seal, who were in the same tour, watched her from the side stage and amazed too.

In 2001 she did sing Je t'aime in a concert in Paris. Well, she wanted to sing it. The public began to sing it before she got the chance. She was so surprised that she only assisted. It ended up as a ballad to her from her fans. I strongly recommend it to see it for yourself. Not to react, but just to experience the emotion of that moment.
Yeah. She got blindsided and the audience sang "we love you" to her while she sang "I love you" to them. She was unable to hold it together and was moved to tears by the end. Very emotional to see (tissues needed).
In this concert, something took Lara... She is fantastic, but in this concert, was absolutely perfect!
She wrote “ broken vow” and sung it live. An extraordinary performance that will render you speechless. It’s about betrayal and forgiveness. A masterpiece. You MUST watch.

I'm 56 and had never heard of Lara Fabian and I wonder why that is. I have an unpleasant feeling that it's because I'm American and she's...not, and this type of internet didn't exist. A hole in my life I didn't know what there.

I only discovered her recently myself, her foray into America was brief and didn't get the support needed from her label. This video is from a PBS special as part of her intro to US. I feel robbed, but she just released a new song for an upcoming album release due in February, so she's still going strong!
She sang the theme to the Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within film called "The Dream Within" (which is where I first heard of her). She also wrote and originally sung "Broken Vow", which has been covered by Josh Groban.
She was very wise and skipped the whole American dog and pony shows...she hooked up with fellow Canadian (and throb of my heart) David Foster...and Igor Krotsky (spell?) who is the David Foster of Northern Europe. Yea, America is low rent when it comes to the entertainment industry. Lara and Dimash will stay in Europe, they have their American fan base solid. 🎶🎤😎
She actually waited too long to try and break into the American Market her first English album didn’t happen until 2000, and her record label was Marketing her as a Celine Dion stand in while Celine was on a 2 year hiatus. Had she come out just 2 years prior she would have been huge.

Loved your Lara Fabians reaction Rebecca. She is a incredible vocal athlete. When Dimash's performance of Adagio on the Singer 2017 show, someone uploaded a video of Dimash's performance and this video of Lara singing Adagio. Like they were doing a duet. And it worked. It felt like Dimash and Lara complemented each other so well. Lara's other songs Ju Sui Malade and Je T'aime are just as emotional and incredible. Definitely a must see. And speaking of Ju Sui Malade. On a Bulgarian talent show called Next Star a young lady by the name Elena Hasna performed Ju Sui Malade and that video has over 25M views. Goes to show. That the world is full of talented kids. And in 2015 Lara sang her famous song Je T'aime with this tiny little pocket rocket, as you like to say. Her name is Fidan. So cute and great voice for one so young.

It is 2023 and Lara Fabian now “Sings in 12 languages” and speaks in 7 languages. Lara was listed on the “EuroPop Rock” charts. She is so unique by adding the drums in addition electric guitars, the Symphony Orchestra, and throwing her hair around like Steven Tyler. That reminded me of Dolly Parton’s 30 track Rock & Roll Album title “Rock Star” she got the absolute best Rock & Roll vocalist of all time collaborating with her. All proceeds go to charity. At 77 Dolly sang at half time on Thanksgiving dressed in a Dallas Cowboys Cheer leading outfit. What most people don’t know is the stage maul functioned, it was suppose to lower her. Dolly started down the old fashion way of walking. Dolly always wears high heel, that are made for her tiny feet. But, then the back heal of 1 shoe came off her high heel shoes. She held on & continued with the show. There were a few saying Dolly needs to act her age. I’ve never heard anyone say that to a man. Anyway Dolly has become an Icon around the world. Since Whitney passed away she changed the way she sings “I will always love you” to reflect some ways of Whitney version. She says the most beautiful words about Whitney. I can’t sing it like Whitney, but I want to sing it too you. I like the “Dolly Parton PNC Bank” performance, she is dressed in white with silver accents. She was 70 at that time. Lara Fabian is arguably THE BEST FEMALE singer in the World. No one comes close to her emotions when she performs. Not even Celine. She puts 1000000% percent of herself into each and every performance. It's almost unbearable.
Her live performances of "Je Suis Malade," "Broken Vow" and "You're Not From Here" are stunning. She is the real deal.

In my very humble opinion, Lara Fabian is one of the best vocalists on earth today. She is literally otherworldly. She slays me every single time. No idea where that voice comes from, but I am so personally grateful for it.
I am amazed that she uses her breath as part of the song and rarely do I like hearing it so profoundly, but this is beyond beautiful especially the ending. I also like that she takes in such deep breaths for the belting and you never see it. When she opens her mouth for the belt you never see head movement, her chin just drops............see what you have taught us about proper breathing........

A lot of people has compared her voice to Celine Dion, though she is a great singer, Lara Fabian is unique... the passion she delivers when she sing, is just amazing... very often I'll close my eyes when listening to her singing, and I'll get goosebumps over my goosebumps, and just like she did at the end of Adagio, I will breathe heavily, gasping for air, because I have stop breathing

I discovered her fairly recently myself, though she should've been part of the phenomenal women of the early 90's that I lived for & was heavily influenced by. She's a huge diva pretty much everywhere but the US. She calls herself a "songwriter with a voice", & still going strong, just released a new song! Check out her French songs like "Si Tu M'aime". She also did an album in 2011 that they made every song into a full on short movie, it's phenomenal! It's all online, "Mademoiselle Zhivago".
I wish you can reach Lara singing Broken Vow on the same concert.. it is so awesome & heart breaking..

Celine Dion is a very talented singer but she can't hold a candle to Lara Fabian.. Lara is just at a whole another level.. je t'aime, caruso and especially je suis malade are what dreams are made of
@José Luis García Lara is an opera singer ( 10years of opera singing lessons) so yeah, she has no other choices to care about emotions, about lyrics and about her voice and technique. If you watch her so many cover of french songs, you will see such musicianship and freedom in her way of approaching a song. I love dimash but he is just showing off in almost all of his covers/songs. I listen all the songs of dimash on TH-cam and I've ressent emotion in just one song : Sinful passion. The others are only showing off extreme vocals. Lara showing off something but she never forget to put emotion and stay in her comfort zone and never drops her amazing technique. Basically dimash never support his fifth-octave's mixed notes, and barely perfectly support his sixth-octave's head voice
You only know "American"Celine Dion!Original "French/European"Celine Dion is absolutly on par with Lara! I recommend:"je cherche l'ombre" or other songs of Celine in French!

Excuse me? Compare to Lara, Celine only lacks support range. That's her weakness. But Celine has stronger voice, better agility for doing runs and melisma, beautiful voice too.

I've loved her talent for many years and thank God there are no distracting and irritating runs and riffs in her performances. No oversinging, whatsoever...just powerful belting alternating with wonderful nuance and restraint. She's brilliant.

Amazing vocalist, I'm glad you reacted to her. Je suis malade, Caruso, and You're not from here especially, are the songs to react to, in my opinion. Also, I hate to say this, but I didn't like Dimash's version of Adagio, it has a nice beginning, but later it gets hard to listen to. It sounds like he is screaming rather than singing, because his mixing wasn't really admirable.

Jaynugget I already said, because of his mixed voice that sounded more like a scream. But if you want an explanation in detail, here you go: if we disregard his pronounciation, which is reasonable since English is not his first language, there are still quite a few things that were unpleasant. He has many colors to his voice, which when used consciously, tastefully and with a control, can sound beautiful, as in SOS. But in Adagio, he switched so many times between his chest, mixed and a little bit of head voice that it sounded chaotic. Further more, he wanted to project the emotion of the song, which was also overplayed, and he burned out in my opinion. The tone of his voice was simply unpleasant to me. It lacked grace, style, taste and an actual emotion instead of overdramatized one. That is just my opinion and what my ear picked up. Other people may have perceived it differently. If I talked too much about it and I bored you, sorry :)

It's a field day for me today.. All my favorite vocal coaches uploading videos about whoever I was listening to! I just listened to her song Love of the Tired Swans (the one Dimash performed) a few mins ago. She has a beautiful voice. And she sings in 8 languages.. Go figure. Lara is a great performer and you are a great performer too! Most enjoyable video. Lots of Lara to react to. Best to start with Perdere L'Amore, but move up to her performances in Mle Zhivago Russian concerts 2014 -2016. ( example, Llora)
