Hello Kevin! I watched your's videos on youtube on how to replace the clutch on a BMW and I followed them step by step Kevin. After 7 hours, I finished putting the parts in the car together . First I started the car, and then I hit the clutch pedal to put it in the 1st gear but the stick can not move. I could not put the stick on the 1st gear or in the reverse. I do not know why. I am so worried. My clutch kit is new. Does anyone know why I can not put the stick in the first gear or in the reverse to move the car? Wanna know. Thanks for your time, everyone.
Again red rubber grease not good for that at all. Red rubber grease is made for seal protection - it is compatible with brake fluid seals but it is a simple vegetable grease Its temperature range is not adequate for clutch and its anti seizing properties are not that good at all as it cooks of at higher temps. U can get a 500g ceramic grease can for 15 quid and u can use it on any friction points - it melts at 1000 degrees and does not get thin when under high temperature making it to be pushed out
