    Mr Clutch - your one tough nut! My body aches after just doing an annual service. I guess the body adjusts but still your soldiering on one car after another very impressive. You might be surprisingly good at grappling without realising.

    Kev- epic job as ever - Laser do a mandrel kit that fits on with just the clutch plate, aligns the plate, clutch cover goes on next, leaving the self-adjust release plate covering the mandrel, but the clutch aligned perfectly - could be a handy gadget to have - you pull the mandrel out after you release the self-adjust thingy when everything is tightened - might save some hassle? You also had me wincing lifting that box.... you must have arms/legs like hydraulic rams. :-)

    Since I saw one of your videos the other day I have been hooked on this channel! Looking at clutch replacements on cars I don't even own haha. Very nice job! Subscribed!
    One question, I'm planning on buying all the parts for the clutch and Twin Mass Flywheel for my BMW E90 LCI 2010 320d ED. I used realoem to find the parts and numbers. But just to confirm with you, other than the flywheel, screws, pin and cylindrical roller bearing for the flywheel part, as well as clutch parts, release module, screws, ball pin and spring clip, there are no other types of seals that are needed when changing the clutch and flywheel?
    Would appreciate an answer from a master like you :) Cheers!

    • @WMCS
      @WMCS  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for subscribing and for the great feedback.
      A good kit as you mentioned. Will include.
      The dual mass flywheel.
      Bolts.
      Clutch plate.
      Pressure plate.
      Thrust bearing
      Fork.
      And if you want you can change the pivot point in the gearbox.
      There is also a start sensor which is located on top of the gearbox. Might be an idea to change that once you have the gearbox out.

      @@WMCS Thank you so much for the clarification! Much appreciated!
      I made an order today with the following:
      On the clutch side:
      Set clutch parts (clutch and pressure plate) - 21208631809
      Release module (seems to me to be the fork and thrust bearing) - 21517564027
      Fillister-head screw - 21207548052
      Ball pin - 21511223328
      Spring clip - 21517570284
      On the flywheel:
      Twin Mass Flywheel - 21207594958
      ISA screw - 11228507622
      Cylindrical roller bearing - 21207536792
      Pin - 11217797978
      I also bought a shaft seal, don't know if I need one.
      I did however not find any information about a sensor. What is the name of it? What does the sensor do? :)

    Hi Kevin, question whats your opinion on the standard throw out bearing from LUK in the clutch set from them I hear lots of people say dont mount them to much play, but they are self adjusting so the collar movement when new is normal I thought. Have a LUK dmf, clutch disc, pressure plate and throw out bearing kit but are now hesitant because of what people say.

    • @WMCS
      @WMCS  ปีที่แล้ว

      You need the concave free play on them bearings because of the depth of the clutch fork in the gearbox. As the fork moves forward it allows the bearing to rotate and move with the fork.
      Otherwise if it’s flat and firm it will move forward at a 45* angle 📐 against the flat surface of the pressure plate.

    is it necessary to change flywheel?

    • @WMCS
      @WMCS  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes .,, because it won’t last the life of the new clutch. And may even cause damage to the friction plate in the process

      @@WMCS okay,..it seems the dual mass flywheel of this car is not cheap.

    i dont understand how you center the clutchplate?

    • @WMCS
      @WMCS  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      On this one I used two Allen keys and locked the clutch plate in the centre ..

    • @johnwayne2638
      @johnwayne2638 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kevin-Albert Williams my english is not perfect butt,am i correct if i say that the clutchplate is Loose until you remove that spin in the middle? If you remove the spin thats the moment when the clutch presses on the clutchplate ? And the allen keys...how do you lock it ? And how do you see that the plate is in a good position before you remove the spin ?

    • @johnwayne2638
      @johnwayne2638 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      And maybe a stupid question butt image if you remove the spin in the middle with this new clutch And you try to place it! Will it work ? Or do you really need the spin to be Hanging on until the end ?

    • @WMCS
      @WMCS  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      John Wayne
      Yes the clutch plate will be loose until you remove the spin.. so you have the chance to adjust the clutch straight.
      But if you make a small error and the clutch is not fully aligned after you have removed the spin then slacken the pressure plate bolts a little bit all round and evenly. Then use a flat screw driver to move the plate around until you are happy it is in the centre. Then tighten them back up.

    • @WMCS
