Be carful with you’re polishing etec has a set fuel map and more air flow may creat a lean condition

did the mag have a seal or is it internal?

yes there is a seal in the mag side, it's not as accessible,. There is a procedure to re-grease the mag side bearing by pulling bolts out and injecting grease
