Nah With mega evolution coming back, Mega Bannette will have access to Poltergeist and its previous mostly used move set. Even though Ceruledge may outclass it, Ceruledge may not even be in ZA. HE’S BACK
For Dusclops and Banette, they were pretty much screwed over by Game Freak not making good physical Ghost type moves. 3:33 I’d personally add 15 points to the HP stat and maybe take 5-10 points off both defensive stats to add to the HP. Also give it an actually good Physical Ghost move like making Shadow Punch a physical counterpart to Aura Sphere.
Damn, I was like: "People play with Mismagius.. right? RIGHT!?" Nope, guess I'm one of the few. I love their design and they do enough damage for what I need.
Probably due to Dusk Stone. You most likely want to use Mismagius in Johto, except oops! Dusk stones are post-game. Other they will most likely get asked for in Sinnoh only, because I doubt anyone is using one in Kalos.
I used an Houndstone in my Pokemon Violet Team, and she's very good! And I cought her in a Luxury Ball, as I plan to use it ever since Greavard is revealed.
Used Houndstone in my first playthrough and he was such a good boy and did really well. I use Trevenant for tera raids, so it works out for that....and it he has a cool shiny.
I replayed Scarlet recently and used a Banette. I named her Gami, in reference to the Tsukumogami. While I didn't use her much at all, she did have a few clutch moments with Sucker Punch. I just really like Banette's design and wanted a reason to use one. I have a fondness for the underdogs of this franchise. But... yeah. Banette is an unfortunate one.
I used a Rotom in my Ultra Moon Wonderlocke. It was pretty fun changing his type for whatever trial I had coming up or to cover whatever weakness my team had. I used a Runerigus in my Sword playthrough and he really helped me with Champion Tournament and Leon. I also used a Banette in my Sapphire playthrough and he’s just there in my party
It sucks that Banette has such aweful stats, it's my third favorite Ghost type. And it really sucks that Dusknoir has no reliable recovery. Could you imagine if both of them got the attention like Gengar did?
10=used 9=haven't used? 🤔 8=used 7=never used/owned 6=never used 5=used 4=used once [NEVER AGAIN!] 3=never used [want to use tho] 2=? 🤔 dont remember but do remember using it 1=Regular Rotom Used twice 😂
So for clarification are these mostly in a competitive sense or just in general? Because for me, Banette w/ frisk was my moon stone hunter in D/P recently. Trevanant has use with harvest for hunting pokemon. Regular Rotom is interesting to use in a Pt
I’ll have you know that I’ve used several of these Ghosts in playthrough games! Especially Rotom! I have to flip a coin between it and Froslass for my Platinum runs!
I used Trevenant when I don't have any other pokemon at that stage that has frisk ability, i always have a thief in my party to grab rare held items in my playthrough
i used runerigus in sword, and it's definitely fine for a playthrough. i'm sure there are better options, but i genuinely love the design, so i was happy to have it on my team! it's a shame that banette is so bad. i've always loved that whole line, design-wise.
There is no way to get Oricorio-Sensu during a Gen 7 playthrough unless you send over a Pokemon with the Purple Nectar from another game because Poni Meadow is post-story only. And Shedinja was probably expected by a lot of us for obvious reasons
I did used to have Dusknoir, but because of its mediocre stats and moveset, I removed it. As for Trevenant, I still use mine for my primary Ghost-type Z-Move user.
I do love Mismagius, Trevenant, & Banette. I wish Banette is good without the mega. Same can be said for Treveant & Dusknoir for riding to be good Pokémon. Also Dusknoir doesn’t get Drain Punch to combat dark types without the Ghost Typing. It gets Brick Break. Dusknoir gets Pain Split via egg moves.
It hurt my feelings when you said Mismagius and Runerigus. I’ve had some of my best play throughs with them. But I’m also a heavy ghost type user so I’m a little bias 😅
Now, OK, Runerigus's evolution method might be ridiculously convoluted, but I wouldn't call it stupid. It honestly paints a pretty grim picture. Like, the cursed energy in the little slab Yamask has is trying to take over its body, Parasect-style, but it can't do it on its own merits, the Yamask's will is too strong. It can stunt Yamask's grownh, preventing it from evolving naturally, hence there being no Galarian Cofagrigus, but that's about all it can manage on its own. And that's where _you_ come in. Clearly, something about that archway in the Wild Area magnifies the power of that cursed energy. But it's still not enough, so you need to have Yamask take enough damage first that it's too weakened to fend off the cursed energy's influence. Once all that comes together, the cursed energy fully absorbs Yamask's spirit, boom- Runerigus. Really messed-up when you think about it, but GameFreak got _creative_ with this one, and I respect them for it.
Really hard to compete against the more current meta plus after Gengar ghost Pokemon didn't get any good Pokemon introduced til Gen 4 with Giratina & Rotom. Then in Gen 5 Rotom only got used as Wash-Rotom
I will admit that Dusknoir has fallen off in more recent gens, but when it first came out, I sure used it pretty well against people, heck pain split was a nice way to mess someone up. I'll agree it could've gotten better ghost attack options besides Shadow Sneak and Shadow punch though. Phantom Force and Polteirgeist are options now, but one's a two turn move, and the other requires the opponent be holding an item Speaking of items the Eviolite becoming a thing really hurt it since you could use Dusclops instead.
I feel like they should just give the dusk-line drainpunch or if you feel a bit frisky life leech, honestly i'd even take the drain moves but give it something.
I technically used mismagius in shining pearl but because I couldn’t make the team I originally wanted because of it being too much like pearl and nothing like platinum
I'm sad dusknoir is bad in pokemon. Bad stats and a very inaccessible trade item evolution for most players is brutal. Especially since it's one of my favorite pokemon in terms of design (its shiny line in particular mirrors mobile suits that Char Aznable used in Gundam, his Zaku 1, Zaku 2, and Zeong for Duskull, Dusclops, and Dusknoir respectively)
Ghost is my favorite type but pre gen 4 they were basically useless as all ghost moves where physical when most ghost types were special attackers so they couldn't get stab from their better attacking stat
I always use a Mismagius in my playthorighs though. She is my fave pokemon and thr main reason I chose Violet Plus you have to trade for Gengar so mismagius us the better option
If you have a different Oricorio on your team, why wouldn't you just change that Oricorio into Sensu if you wanted to?! Every Oricorio can be Each of the Four Forms.... Its like having a Rotom and not using its different forms for your Playthrough....
I think both runirigus and its other form should have either drain punch or recover. I did try sleep talk before but, while it was kinda fun, I dont have the luck for it😅.
1. The Player's Father (Except Norman)
He just went out for milk ten years ago. He'll be back soon.
The dads are all Ghost Type - Pokémon?
Nice

Banette and it’s mega are cool asf designs
Mega Banette should have been ghost and steel with tough claws ability along with better speed. Designs are dope indeed!
Damn, I was like: "People play with Mismagius.. right? RIGHT!?"
Nope, guess I'm one of the few. I love their design and they do enough damage for what I need.
You can still use it in-game, I still use arbok and houndoom if they are available somewhat early.
Oh yeah, I'm not saying I can't. Mismagius' design is too good for me not to use. Plus I like using the "underdog" stuff in any game I play.
Probably due to Dusk Stone. You most likely want to use Mismagius in Johto, except oops! Dusk stones are post-game. Other they will most likely get asked for in Sinnoh only, because I doubt anyone is using one in Kalos.

2:51 When I heard "noob trap" I immediately thought of a recently uploaded video on noob traps in Yugioh.
Trainers catching yamask be bringing back the 1800's fr.
Lol.
Dusknoir sucks bc no recovery options.
[2 seconds later]
"It has access to drain punch"
Used Houndstone in my first playthrough and he was such a good boy and did really well.

So, I saw a ghost video from you again, and i have to say, 2 is one of my favorite ghosts, so i do use it. Also hey Mystic, been missing the streams.
It sucks that Banette has such aweful stats, it's my third favorite Ghost type. And it really sucks that Dusknoir has no reliable recovery. Could you imagine if both of them got the attention like Gengar did?
They should tbh
10=used
9=haven't used? 🤔
8=used
7=never used/owned
6=never used
5=used
4=used once [NEVER AGAIN!]
3=never used [want to use tho]
2=? 🤔 dont remember but do remember using it
1=Regular Rotom Used twice 😂
So for clarification are these mostly in a competitive sense or just in general?
Because for me, Banette w/ frisk was my moon stone hunter in D/P recently.
Trevanant has use with harvest for hunting pokemon.
Regular Rotom is interesting to use in a Pt
That one episode with Banette, Ash’s Gengar and Nurse Joy from pokemon journeys made me cry but that’s not gonna make me use one
Keep up the awesome work and videos love the video
I’ll have you know that I’ve used several of these Ghosts in playthrough games! Especially Rotom! I have to flip a coin between it and Froslass for my Platinum runs!
As someone who always hated evolving Misdreavous I found Fluttermane to be an absolute win 🏆
So many ghosts that I like (lore/design) and wanted/have used are on this list.
Travanent was my fav in Pokemon unbound walkthrough
I’ve been waiting on this!
Is there a way to get Gengar without trading?
I have a Banette on my Bd playthrough currently. It's pretty beefy.
There is no way to get Oricorio-Sensu during a Gen 7 playthrough unless you send over a Pokemon with the Purple Nectar from another game because Poni Meadow is post-story only. And Shedinja was probably expected by a lot of us for obvious reasons

can you do a best team for insurgance

Also Dusknoir doesn’t get Drain Punch to combat dark types without the Ghost Typing. It gets Brick Break. Dusknoir gets Pain Split via egg moves.
I had a Banette in Omega Ruby. It was pretty tough, I remember
I cannot bring myself to use Houndstone in any capacity because it looks like the "I remember the foist time I had chocolate" thing in spongebob. 😰🤢
I haven’t watched but this list will have my fav ghostys on it
It hurt my feelings when you said Mismagius and Runerigus. I’ve had some of my best play throughs with them. But I’m also a heavy ghost type user so I’m a little bias 😅

If The Mismagius line was also Ghost/Fairy it would be more popular (But Flutter Mane and Mimikyu are a lot better)
Leave my baby Baynette alone 😒😒
I happen to be a Ghost Type trainer. How would you rank my team?
Gengar
Trevenant
Mimikyu
Hisuian Zoroark
Chandelure
Froslass
Ghost is my favorite type but pre gen 4 they were basically useless as all ghost moves where physical when most ghost types were special attackers so they couldn't get stab from their better attacking stat
i used mega banette for a little bit it was pretty good
I always use a Mismagius in my playthorighs though. She is my fave pokemon and thr main reason I chose Violet
Plus you have to trade for Gengar so mismagius us the better option
I only used Banette in omega ruby because it was a random shiny shuppet in Mt. Pyre
Nah banette was on my first team when I first started playing I love him
If you have a different Oricorio on your team, why wouldn't you just change that Oricorio into Sensu if you wanted to?! Every Oricorio can be Each of the Four Forms.... Its like having a Rotom and not using its different forms for your Playthrough....
We all know it’s the players dad.
Runerigus is awesome! Cursola with weak armor sucked ass tho (unless curse body instead).
I think both runirigus and its other form should have either drain punch or recover. I did try sleep talk before but, while it was kinda fun, I dont have the luck for it😅.
It's just new toy syndrome .
Boo! Banette is my all time favorite ghost. They just did her dirty!
If i play the video at 2x speed it almost looks like i'm playing at normal speed instead of 0.25x
Well i use all of them…
Before the video even begins. How dare ye put banette on this thumbnail, it's by far my favorite ghost type. 😢 The disrespect
I use mismagius 🤣🤣🤣
😱👻
