I was betting on Gengar winning the Gold Medal of Evil. The Pokedex says in Pokemon Sun, "Should you feel yourself attacked by a sudden chill, it is evidence of an approaching Gengar. There is no escaping it. Give up." That sounds awful and evil.

I'm sorry, but Gengar will always have a special place in my heart. While I agree that its gigantamax and mega evolutions are pure evil, regular Gengar has a pokedex entry (I cant remember where from exactly) that says that it stalks and scares people in a misguided attempt to make friends. So to me, Gengar will just be a pokemon with really bad social anxiety.

Drapion is more vicious than Gengar. If anything, Drapion for its vicious nature should get the Wrath medal of Poison types and at least get the Bronze Medal of Evil tied to Nihilego.
The most evil ghost in the Pokémon franchise is the disembodied hand in lavender town in Pokémon Red/Blue and nothing can change my mind about that.

18:58 Personally I prefer the theory that Driftloon and Driftblim act not as bad spirts but as "guardian angels" that accompany dying/dead children into the afterlife so they aren't afraid. I could see Driftloon accompanying young children (under 10 let's say) while Driftloon takes older children or teens and adults. IMO If u're going to argue that Giratina is a neutral evil Pokemon then I would say Driftloon/Blim should be given the same privelage. Giratina is said to literally be the Pokemon's version of the Devil so yeah.....
But the devil isn't bad as they punish evil. Gratins is actually a very kind pokemon the only time it does evil is being controlled by evil

Also, Nature is neutral. Every living being has a place in the cycle of life and death, ecosystems requiere cycles of life and death.
When lions eat humans, lions aren't evil.
A lion hunts for survival, a zebra runs away for survival. Lions have children to feed. Zebras have children to take care of. There is no evil, there is no good.
Parasytes aren't evil.
Humans can be good and evil because humans have high intelligence, humans have high conscience, humans have the ability to choose.
Also, I think we need to distinguish between science and belief.
Many entries (of ghost pokemon, dark pokemon and psychic pokemon) contains beliefs, rumors.
Scientific things are proven, they are facts.
Rumors aren't proven, they aren't facts.
It's hard to call them evil after watching the poketoon "Help I've turned into a Gengar"
It's funny that both Pumpkaboo and Inkay both got Silver Medals and are the more harmless of their evolution lines and by coincidence they are both the Pokemon that The Team Rocket Trio (who are harmless compared to their allies) get in Kalos.
To be fair Necrozma had its light stripped away from the Ultra Recon Squad and its in constant suffering because of it

Dusknoir evolves from an evil cyclops to a sweetheart.
I don’t know if I would call it a sweetheart. The afterlife can be Heaven and it can also be hell, so if it acts like a ferry of sorts, then it has definitely been to hell more times than anyone could count.
He guides them to heaven, that is really sweet

I actually really loved Dusknoir so much more after playing the Mystery Dungeon game (Space and Time both had him, but I only played one) that showcased him as a major char. Even if he was evil then, he was just such a gentleman before it all went down. ;3;
Pretty sure Explorers of Sky gave him a redemption story, but don't remember and can't play it. RIP 3DS. :(
I have a whole family of Dusknoir on one of my games. Including a shiny.
My boy Dusknoir was done wrong.
First: They lead spirits to the afterlife. The antennae does have radio waves that communicate with the spirit world and that guides them (probably tells them where the spirit is too, yeah). I don't believe they prey on the living or simply "eat them and spit out their bodies".
Second: There's an episode in the anime where people are seeing Dusknoir and assming that he's doing something to them, and in reality, it was the spirit of a little girl and Dusknoir was trying to take her to the spirit world. Heck, the whole time, it was that little girl doing bad stuff, and even Ash was almost killed by her doings because she was trying to lure him into that world!
Episode is from the Diamond/Pearl Dimensions anime, and it's called Ghoul Daze!.

Ghoul daze is among my favourite episodes, I love Dusknoir and honestly? His debut episode did him justice if you ask me
I could argue chandelure for neutral, as the Pokémon is shown to be an extremely good partner and loyal in games such as Pokken. Also it’s not chandelures fault that it survives by burning off of life force, just evolutionary bad luck.
Humans survive by eating many living beings alive, toasted, grilled, frozen, cooked...
That's the way Life is.
It isn't evil nor good. It's neutral.
One thing about the Pokédex that I love and hate is how legends and folktale mix with genuine research. I love this because it’s very realistic to how observational fields work. It’s a nice mixture of Anthropology, Archeology, and Zoology and how myth and fact can overlap. What I hate about it though is that, in terms of game lore, it makes things very inconsistent. Usually, in video games, lore is pretty straight forward. You may find some with mysteries or conspiracies but for the most part what you see is what you get. With the Pokédex, it’s all info gathered since ancient times and it’s a blend of local legend and biological observation and in a world where the natural are supernatural it’s a little difficult to figure out what in the Dex is fact and what is legend.
I wonder if evil pokemon can be good due to their good hearted trainers. I'd like to think that their trainers would be able to make them good

I agree since good Pokemon do evil things if their Trainers are evil so that means the few truly evil Pokemon might be good if their trainers are.

Personally I think the hisuian Zoroark and Zorua should be higher up on the list of good. Since both in game and in the anime hisuian snow it has shown that quite frankly a lot of the stuff said about them was people jumping to conclusions.
I mean in hisuian snow the protagonists father met one twice and he definitely did not go insane or anything like that (was just scared)
And it is clear the hisuian Zoroarks we’re watching the protagonist with the Zorua but they never attacked.
And even after so many years passed the Zorua/Zoroark came to help his friend when he was in most danger. That should put them further up the list into the good category.
Plus I don’t blame them for scaring people, I would not trust people if they tried to kill me and forced me out of my home.
Yet despite all that they still have some room to give worthy humans a chance says a lot.

@@JoshioE110 I would say yes but that’s not the case. In other lists he focuses on anime appearances too. (Example: The dark type list where he lists other sources for darkrai…. Like how in tv and movie he acts a certain way…) I think he was not aware of the other sources that show more hisuian Zorua and Zoroark behavior.
You should do psychic types next, a few of their dex entries are pretty dark
Dusknoir guides souls to the afterlife by orders of the antenna. It has also been known to save lives of those whose souls have been wrongfully stolen (possibly by a different ghost type pokemon). Although it has been know to bring the weing souls to the afterlife, so I think grey is better place for it
Not gonna lie, I think drifloon gets a bad rap, cause if you think about Pokémon like animals, what animal would sit there and have its limbs yanked by a child?
Drifloon’s probably freak out and try to get away, the kid doesn’t let go, then before kid knows it they’re floating in the stratosphere

Most ghost Pokemon just sound so lonely and sad. I wonder if the reason many of them do evil things or seem evil is because people just can't understand them and the ghost types suck at social skills.

Agreed Froslass deserved the lust medal for being based partly on the story of an icy woman who turned her lovers into ice sculptures.
My favorite Pokémon ghost is Mimikyu! I just love the design! It’s the most adorable Pokémon I would love forever to have on my journeys in every game!

I feel like Spiritomb is more insane then evil. Imagine having an extreme case of Multiple Personality Disorder with 108 different and conflicting identities. Yet at the same time not only do all these identities make up who you are but they are also your only source of company and comfort. Therefore the mere thought of losing even one of them forever is enough to drive you mad with fear and rage. That’s my take on it at least.
I was waiting for this video and in the Dark-type Good to Evil, I suggested in the comments to do either Ghost-types or Poison-types Good to Evil.
My 2 favorite pokémon are both Ghosts. Also Noivern, and Sneasler too are some of my favorites, but I'll admit that ghost mons are amazing

Hisuian Typhlosion is probably my favorite Pokémon, I love Ghost Types, and here's one that would probably make the best companion: they're cute, yet not so cute that it's annoying, they're powerful, and there's definitely no worry of them just pretending to be your friend so that they can feed on your dreams. Trevenant also seems like a cool Pokémon to have as a companion, but I'd feel bad about taking a Treventant away from it's forest.
I am betting on Drifloon as the most evil.
Spiritomb is actually the most evil as it has the evil typing.
And even though Sableye has the same typing the little goblin is too fun to be evil, (unless you think stall is evil.)

@@Sailor-Khione Stall teams are based off of residual damage. This damage can come in many forms, including: sandstorm, hail, Toxic Spikes, Spikes, and Stealth Rock. The majority of Pokemon on a team like this will have good defenses and contribute to the overall goal of indirectly fainting the opponent's team.

Gengar is not an evil Pokémon. In the anime he might be the rival trainer's Pokémon, but one important thing to note about the morality of a Pokémon is whatever the trainer does the Pokémon will do as well, kinda like pets with their owners. Also he's just mischievous loving to pull pranks on others for fun.
