2022 Trebuchet Pumpkin Launch

My 20th year throwing pumpkins, 14th year throwing with this Trebuchet. First one was a garage spring catapult that vibrated apart in 2 seasons, and the 2nd was a larger trebuchet that needed dismantling and reconstruction everywhere it traveled. We were doing 5 or more events each fall, where my wife called herself the "Trebuchet Widow". And each launch took a team of 6 working hard to operate hand cranks and a lot of brute force to get the arm into position
The counter weight is about 800 lbs, the arm about 12'6" and the total sling length of about 9'6". We now have a crew of 4 who can take it a bit easier now that we have the electric winch.
We hold events every year at the Farmer's Daughter on Mooresfield Rd in Kingston, RI during their Fall Festival. The trebuchet is safely stored on the premises and will carry on for some time.

I don't really. Made it from an early drawing of one. We did make one previous, so we kind of know how it should function. Got the image from a book called "Catapult Design, Construction and Competition with the Projectile Throwing Engines of the Ancients"
