Cheers mate 👍🏻 bloody hard work , had covid aswell when I did the beep test.. only found out next day🤪 will try it again in a month or so and smash it. New video out tmoro aswell - take it easy mate 👊👊
Hi , each level starts at .1 in that beep test so the first level is 1.1 and so on they don’t have level 1.0. So when I hit level 9 it was 9.1 then I did one more 😉I’m 40 as well . Just found out I had covid when I did it 😂😂😂 , I feel 100 times better as well now I will try it again very soon pretty sure I can get to level 11 but we will see . Thanks for watching 👊👊
hi Lee, great video, nice to see something different that's still running and fitness related. When you think about it that's been ideal for you, like a mini progressive interval session. Sprints are not too far for looking after that stress fracture. Just a quick question; does your watch tell you that you've lost any Vo2, that would be a great indicator of fitness etc. Thanks for the video. Steven
Hi Steven , hope your well mate 👍🏻 yeh really enjoyed it . I will do a beep test every couple of months now , I know it was a bit DIY but still just a bit of fun. In regards to the VO max I check mine after each run and before my injury I had VO max of 56 which was at its peak I’d never hit anything higher and now it’s at 54.2 so I’ve lost a bit but last week it was at 53.6 so it’s going back up slowly with each session . 👊👊
I might actually try this in the week 😆 I remember the one we were made to do in secondary school, the sound it made was apparently a “Q”. But we called it the bleep test.
Great video and will watch the one after this tonight. Do you mind if I ask how you film your runs if your doing a fast effort like a parkrun? I'm thinking of filming my runs at the local parkrun and I'm thinking a chest strap will be good rather than holding the camera. Sorry if it's a bit cheeky asking. Please keep the content coming
Hi mate , not at all 😂👍🏻👍🏻 I mix it up . I do have a GoPro chesty strap which I use if I’m running flat out . So I’ll walk round for a bit with the go pro on a stick talking then for the actually race I’ll put the chesty on and film it like that , then after the race I’ll go back to the stick . If I’m not doing a max all out effort I’ll just run with the go pro on the stick but it’s hard work 😂😂😂. Some people run flat out with the go pro on the stick and still talk I’m kinda building upto that but I think it kinda compromises your run still abit . Hope that helps . Also if your getting a go pro 12 and using the chesty you need to add in some special setting others wise the camera just swings side to side on the footage and looks terrible, I actually made a video about it 6 months ago to show you which settings to use - if you need any help just message me 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Bleep test is very hard Jacko. I used to find it alot harder doing this then a normal Run in my army days. 9.2 is bang on tho. Id struggle to get about level 6 nower days. To say i got to about 14.5 when i was 20
Your right mate it’s a lot more difficult than people may think, i just wanted to see where my fitness was at after been injured last 3 months. I’m pretty sure I could easily get to level 11 possibly 12 once back to full fitness. Didn’t bloody help my lace came undone at level 3 🤦🤦…..no excuses here though 🤣🤣….and mate you’ve done great there , level 14 would of been amazing at 20 but I was too busy eating luciano's🤣🤣🤣🤣
Not sure on the minutes but it was at level 9.2 when I stopped . There is a link for the video at the top of the comments if people want to try it or have a look on my channel for the 20 metre beep test video - good luck if you try it 👊
@Journeyoflee ok no worries well done. I'm Rotherham live in thailand now I hope you get back running quickly . Have you heard that david Tune He remembered on running group called blizzard

Level 9.1 was last one completed before missing beep. Without knowing your age , that's good.

Just looked at the bleep test video and it starts the test at 41 seconds and 9.2 to 10 minutes 35. Therefore 9.2 is 9 minutes and 54 seconds long.
@@davenapier hahahaha Hi Dave 👍🏻 thanks very much for that , I would of said around 10 mins , but I’ll take your word for it 🤣👊👊👊 hope your well mate
