Glad you did too. We were fishing ours today and had tons of BIG bream hanging around and a few good bass. We have crystal clear water so they are loving the structure. Thanks for stopping by to comment.
@@JackArmstrong-jackdaddycustoms man thats awesome I definitely noticed that the water was very clean mine is a new pond I just stocked with hybrid brim and bass just installed an aerator hopefully I can get mine going thank you sir for replying back
The stainless-steel screws are a good idea, but a cheaper way is to just drill a few large holes in the bottom of the pipe and the concrete will go into these holes and you will never get the pipe out again.
Hello! I got some questions. First off, how long is the width of the Poly tubes? Second, what was the length of the pvc segments you used on the one you build on camera? And last what was the size of the bag of Quickcrete you used to make the habitat? Thank you and I loved this project so much it inspired me for my upcoming Eagle Scout Project : ) !
@@MRVNgotEM that’s completely up to you. If you want it tight and thick for baitfish to hide in you will need a bunch but if you just want a little open structure to fish, you could just use a few.
We haven’t yet. We lost a swim bait to one the other day. Hook was just the right size to fit around the tube and it didn’t slide off. Ended up breaking the line. Rode over it in the boat and could see it on the top tube. Tube still was in place.
You’ve got to stay tuned for some upcoming videos. I literally just went to the local plumbing supply last week and asked to go through the stuff they couldn’t sell as new. Got a ton of good stuff and am planning some epic structure. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for sharing but if you were back in some other country you would’ve got taken out already by the big dogs so thank God you were in America because you’re ruining a lot of business for big companies That make big money on this product
I know it's an old video but... I love to see you getting your son involved, not only in the construction but also in the video. Way to go dad!
Thanks.
Look at Mr. Little Man! He's watching his daddy and learning big time. WELL DONE!
He stays after it pretty good
Could not ask for a better how to video with under water footage too!
I’ve got two other designs coming soon. I’m more excited about them than these. Thanks for watching and the kind comments
Great video! For anyone starting this project a unibit or stepper drill makes easy work of the holes and they turn out perfectly round.
Great advice.
Very cool thanks for the video
Glad you enjoyed it
Man I'm fixing to do the same thing glad I found your video thank you sir

That is a good idea. That didn’t even cross my mind lol. I’m about to make a few more and I’ll go that route this time. Thanks.
So you're saying place the tubing in and then just pour the quick crete in from the top and let dry, instead of the screws?...

Poly tubes were about 36”. PVC was about 4ft. And the Quikrete bags were 60lb. Hope your project turns out great.
@@JackArmstrong-jackdaddycustoms last question, how many segments of the 4ft polyester tubes did you use to make the habitat?

@@JackArmstrong-jackdaddycustoms okay, thanks for the help
@@MRVNgotEM anytime. Let me know if you have any more pointers.
I trust everything but the sandals 👍🏻
What diameter Polyethylene Tubing did you use?
3/4 inch
Do the tubs ever pull out if you get snagged?

Very clever use of cardboard boxes. Request permission from a local contractor and do some dumpster diving for free random length pvc and pex piping.

Cool

If it was legal in my state I be dumping them in all my fishing spots 😂
What keeps Eve from turning over
the weight on the bottom is plenty enough to keep them upright and stable.

Dont pay to put plastic garbage in yr pond.. use pallets.. rock.. logs
Its harder to snag on smoothed plastic than it is wood/stone. Under water plastic will last a long time. More than 50 years for sure. Maybe 100 years.
awesome... a lot cheaper than moss back
for sure and works just as good or better!
