I only heard about her when she was a guest judge on RuPaul's Drag Race and they had to lipsync to "Ghost". That's when I started checking her songs and now stumbled upon this one. Can't believe I had never heard about her before.
GOD I wish I knew about Fefe back when I was a teenager. Seeing a black girl singing rock would've changed my entire perspective on myself as a black girl who was into it, but was literally the only girl of color in my ENTIRE school. It was such an isolating experience. Needless to say, this fed that teenager in me OMG
That's funny! I was a black girl into rock (well still am) and you're right, I clinged onto her when I was in high school as I felt like she validated something in me as a minority in my school. I'm sorry you didn't get to know her back then but it's nice you know her now.
Yes some Canadian rock is good give it more of A listen, I met this girl a few times really awesome takes me back, I'm in Canada myself we got some pretty good bands down there
She was all over mtv for a while around 2003-2004 because “Everything” was on the soundtrack for the movie Perfect Score and I remember that video playing a lot as well as “take me away” and “bye bye boyfriend”
WHY DID I NEVER HEAR THIS ON THE RADIO AS A TEEN? I WOULD HAVE EATEN THIS UP!!! (Damnit US you have failed me again 😢) I'm here 11 years late but I'm here 😅
It's February 2023 and I'm 45yrs old. I've never heard this song before!! I really wish this was on Greek radio!! I hear this song today for the first time in my life and I just can't take it out of my mind!!!!
I was asked to go to a club one night in Edmonton a long time ago with a group of friends, I never knew this at the time but this woman was at that club and rocked the absolute shit out of it.....needless to say it was one of the best night of my life.
Just saw her live. After 10 yrs of touring and performing...this group is tight! She is not a newbie. I respect her talent. She writes songs for Miley, Selena and Jonas and others. She produces and engineers in the studio. You have to see her live. She is definitely influenced by Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love. Even the new pop tunes sound heavy live. This chic is gonna be around for a long time. Bring on the haters!!
Fefe was her own league of music when she did this song and others back in the day. ❤🎉 she should went more viral then she did. Amazing vocals on this woman. I hope she’s great these days, her music got me through some rough teenager things ❤
Def Jam, are you sorry yet for dropping this amazing female artist?! You lost out on her because you didn't believe in her and her art. I hope she is laughing at you now.
Not only is Fefe an iconic Canadian star, this song would perfectly suit a stylish sexy Silent Hill type of movie where we get real world commentary on very post modern Millennial vibes.
I have been binge watching her videos. I never thought I would say anything against Queen Fefe. As a black male I have to say this though. Fefe, you’re one of us. Why are there no black people EVER in your videos!?!
Qu'est devenue cette artiste ? Énormément de talent avec des chansons qui dépassent de beaucoup la qualité de certaines de nos jours... suis-je la seule à qui le rock manque ???!!!!!!!
shes naturally got her own style.. shes not trying to stick out so hard and be different like say nicki minaj.. thats what makes her so lovable to me.. go fefe!!! :)
I was a 16 year old girl when this song came out and was going through my first long term relationship breakup (though not long after we got back together) this song was literally the song I angsted to when I was going through the heartache. Such a perfect breakup song. I’m in my 30s now and single but I still feel all the rage and pain from my teens listening to this.
Bought this album when it first came out. I expected big things for her. Island Def Jam kinda fucked her over. Yeah I said it. Sorry not sorry. Still a fan of hers though.
Fefe is and will never be anything like Avril. Sure they had the same style, Avril came first so of course people will compare but they are nothing like one another, Fefe had her own sound, even now she has a different sound to her work. She's one of the few musicians these days that have any amount of talent. I hope she keeps with it and people stop comparing her to people like Rhianna and Avril.
Well I'm back after the new article I read today. Record label screwed this woman. But even so, albums like this one and the young and the hopeless really helped shape the music I like. Paramore is my favorite band. Definitely don't get there without fefe.
One of my favorite songs back in the day. She is very underrated and should have been a bigger star.
Ikr. I used to watch this when I was like 6 or 7 with my sister. I used to love this song. And I felt the same way.
FeFe is amazing
It was a massive hit...around 2k?
I only heard about her when she was a guest judge on RuPaul's Drag Race and they had to lipsync to "Ghost". That's when I started checking her songs and now stumbled upon this one. Can't believe I had never heard about her before.
She wasnt willing to push the agenda like others have.. So you dont get the exposure

She's so naturally pretty. I miss this look.
If you’re Canadian, you know this was a bop back in the good old days 🇨🇦
I'm American, I definitely say the exact same thing. I wish the rest of us caught on, there's like 5% of us who know.
@@chrisrj9871 American as well! I thought she was going to be the biggest thing, she rlly rocked the house down!
Hell yeah! I still have her CD, too!
💯🇨🇦♥️🤘😏
@@chrisrj9871American) I just discovered her via the speech prof making a short about her. So glad I did!
Hell yeah! I haven’t heard this since I was like 15 and I’m 32 now and this is still 🔥🔥🔥
Same here!
Same ❤
I'm blasting this as we speak while my boyfriend is packing his shit
lara p hell yes! I feel you on that one!
BYE BYE BF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
20 year old album and it's still great. Such an underrated artist.
It still sounds just like the first time I put it in my CD player way back when
She is so under rated
I blame Rihanna, Fefe hit the scene a year early than Riri adopted the bgirl and applied an R&B sound than Fefe got lost in the noise
If anything she's gotten much more attention than her horrible songwriting deserves
Agree. 2000s rocker chicks deserve more recognition. I love Fefe, Skye Sweetnam, Lillix, Krystal Meyers and Everlife.
@@adnauseam1432 Rhianna doesn't have that bad of writing
She should have been bigger than she was. Her first album was full of bops.
Those are the best kinds of albums. I hope her new album is just as good!
Wow, wish this was on American radio. I would have LOVED this and her style as a kid. Adding this to my playlist lol.
Yes some Canadian rock is good give it more of A listen, I met this girl a few times really awesome takes me back, I'm in Canada myself we got some pretty good bands down there
@TaylorSwiftaistation2 ❤
Yeah, I’m mad that she wasnt really known and wasn’t big in the US. Just glad I know now.
She was all over mtv for a while around 2003-2004 because “Everything” was on the soundtrack for the movie Perfect Score and I remember that video playing a lot as well as “take me away” and “bye bye boyfriend”
I was 13 and from Oklahoma and I played this album everyday! I love her!
WHY DID I NEVER HEAR THIS ON THE RADIO AS A TEEN? I WOULD HAVE EATEN THIS UP!!! (Damnit US you have failed me again 😢) I'm here 11 years late but I'm here 😅
Right. They put everything else on there y not good music..
Because she wasn't getting naked for the camera selling out SMH that's all they want these days
Canadian rock stations played this one when it first came out
I heard it at a long and mcquade when I was 8 years old.
The most underrated artist of the millennial generation!!! 🖤
I loved her CD when I was in high school I feel so old she should've been bigger
I know the feeling, it was rare to see someone who looked like me into rock, too. I had her posters all my wall. Good times! 😻
The way the song changes tempo was a brilliant idea. Still my favorite ❤❤❤❤❤
UGG GOD I JUST ADORE THIS LADY
matt nelson Cos you're a dumb emo fuck.
MAYBE I AM... WHATS YOUR POINT?
who ass I'm kissing though...
+InternalMind Where the fuck did all that insane nonsense come from? Where you on drugs when you wrote that?
Fuck off you maggot antred11
Saw that Fefe was hanging out with Avril and Drake last night. Such a throwback!
2020 still listening. 29 years old I remember being 13 listening to this album. Bye bye 20s it's time that I be on my way. 🎶❤️❤️❤️ Love you fe fe❤️❤️
I love her she's so unique and she brings something fresh to the rock scene..........wheeeeeew go fefe we love u
What a killer use of voice? Her vocals are so clean and well used
Black Canadian Queen!

The speech prof sent me here. He was right. She is GREAT
This song is just as amazing as I remember. This CD got a lot of plays on my diskman back in the day
if we had streaming back then, it would have hit the top consistently
She's a rocker for sure. I miss her rock-ness. This is the song that brought her to my attention
This song seems almost forgotten to history now, but it was such a great song. much respect. Hope Fefe is doing great these days. :)
I thank Degrassi every time I hear a Fefe song
Facts
Most excellent! Here after recommend by speech prof.

This was my jam in fourth grade😂 🙌🏿 I miss her making this kind of music.
I would singing this so hard while doing chores around the house, like I was going through some crappy break up at 10 lol
I want to live in the universe where she became the biggest pop rock star ever
she came to my high-school and performed this song. the only time I'd ever heard of her.
I still love Fefe Dobson
Still playing this in 2022
Speech prof recommended so had to check out right away
Still a banger! So nostalgic! 🔥 ALL the memories 😢❤
she had the guts to let the world know what was in her soul and didn't care what people thought about her color. Makes me like her even more.
I am 37.. #Fefedobson got me through a lot of stuff man and was and is ahead of her time and totally underrated 💯🧿🤘😌♥️
Def Jam, are you sorry yet for dropping this amazing female artist?! You lost out on her because you didn't believe in her and her art. I hope she is laughing at you now.
ikr
GOOD OLD CANADIAN ROCK 🤘🤘
memories
This song has been stuck in my head a lot more days than I'd care to admit
I miss the old days as a teenager
So do I.
Still love this song
Not only is Fefe an iconic Canadian star, this song would perfectly suit a stylish sexy Silent Hill type of movie where we get real world commentary on very post modern Millennial vibes.
I love her
I have been binge watching her videos. I never thought I would say anything against Queen Fefe. As a black male I have to say this though. Fefe, you’re one of us. Why are there no black people EVER in your videos!?!
This song was SO underrated and I still blast it in the car today!
I’ll never stop wishing for a FD and no doubt collab
I love Fefe cause she's so relatable :) when I watch this video I see myself & the situations I went through
Qu'est devenue cette artiste ? Énormément de talent avec des chansons qui dépassent de beaucoup la qualité de certaines de nos jours... suis-je la seule à qui le rock manque ???!!!!!!!
My word. Almost 20 years & still sounds sharp.
As a black man into rock, I approve of this. Thanks Fefe Dobson.
Damn imma about to be 21 and I remember when I was in middle school I found this song damn time has changed
35 n still listening to this . Good.ole days music was just better 😌
I owned this album and i still listen to it here too , love you forever fefe 🥰
I forgot how much i loved her!!
I listened to this song, not having a boyfriend at the time, but gosh, did I share the vehemence that she expresses in the song XD
same i was 12 rocking out to this lol
i love fefe dobson all of her songs are relative. from dead bet fathers to dead bet boyfriends
I love her dance moves!! They're quirky & fun, lol♥
I'm 30 now I found fefe back when I was 12 shes the greatest
Why Miss Fefe Dobson isn't famous is a gag
shes naturally got her own style.. shes not trying to stick out so hard and be different like say nicki minaj.. thats what makes her so lovable to me.. go fefe!!! :)
I Love "you" Fefe Dobson May - 2018
I Love FeFe Dobson
glad to see one of Scarborough very own still a living legend here.
Repping the 416
Listening to fefe as an adult hits different
So excited she's making a comeback when her new album Emotion Sickness. Out Sept 29th
I was a 16 year old girl when this song came out and was going through my first long term relationship breakup (though not long after we got back together) this song was literally the song I angsted to when I was going through the heartache. I haven't seen this video/heard this song in YEARS. Whoaaa, nostalgia. I used to like her back in 2004.
Bought this album when it first came out. I expected big things for her. Island Def Jam kinda fucked her over. Yeah I said it. Sorry not sorry. Still a fan of hers though.
eyedotzeedotem what happened?
After this album, they just didnt really promote her the way they should have.
eyedotzeedotem they tried to make Rihanna into FeFe because Rih was more marketable 😥
Ooooooh good point. Now that I think about it. Fefe could've sang "Umbrella", "Shut Up and Drive"....mmmmmmm
Couldnt agree more, she is still awesome
This used to be my jam in middle school lolz. The early 2000's are underrated.
Anyone notice Fefe at 3:23? She's so silly 😂
She was such a baby back then! Breaking stereotypes and boundaries. Gotta love her.
I adore Fefe
When the beat for the chorus, she killed it.
I remember this back in middle school
Ashley Shaw I feel so old! I was a senior in high school when I had this album.
I love the intro to this song when she is singing in the very beginning my favourite part love Fefe representing mixed girls
Fefe is and will never be anything like Avril. I agree. Avril's sound is just more... annoying tbh. Her voice is a bit whiny and grating, whereas Fefe has a rounder, fuller vocal.
Fefe Dobson Has Her Own Unique Style
Fefe ❤ U 2023 come back please
This song just unlocked so many core memories ❤️❤️
story of my life...i luv fefe dobson
Much Music's Big Shiny Tunes 8 CD Brought me Here.

Well I'm back after the new article I read today. Record label screwed this woman. But even so, albums like this one and the young and the hopeless really helped shape the music I like. Paramore is my favorite band. Definitely don't get there without fefe.
This is my 70th favorite song!
Girl... They were not ready for you... They still aren't. Fefe was not gonna fit in w what they wanted... She deserved more anyways😍
Just finally got that when Fefe is in the car scene it reminds me of Alanis Morissette in the “Ironic” music video. ❤ you Fefe
you kept me alive in middle school Fefe, thanks for the memories lovely
