Hey Jay! As am immigrant to the U.S. from Mexico with six brothers and four sisters, we have all worked hard and live good lives or what some would call the "American Dream!" It is sad to see the fast deterioration of our country along with all the hatred. You are right, if you stay out of the inner cities, life can be very good. Jay i understand your concern safety of your family especially the growing up of your daughter who is in her very young age is very important. Its just scary what is happening in the western world including the US , the mass shootings, aside, shootings in the streets, prolifirations of drugs that brings lot of crime. As a father like you that was also my sentiments and concerns here the Philippines way back before 2016 where crimes and drugs was so rampant, there are lots of crimes like killings and rapes and the government seems helpless about it. I have then a small girl and an eldest boy and it really concerns to lots of filipinos like me and many many parents until there was a change of leadetships president in 2016 and goes after gang, druglords and kriminals that eventually after that campaign crimes was reduce to a very low level. Hoping that America can get up to its feet to recover from some level of impunity especially on crimes.
Hello, thank you for your message. Yes, I seen alot of the changes. I paid alot of attention to duterte regime and now Marcos. I'm curious to keep learning how the country feels about both. Still figuring things out. Also, how much they might dislike the other. As long as it improves and doesn't get worse, I'll manage it the best I can. The baby has large family in Phil's though. Want her to be loved the best way she can, surrounded by aunts and uncles. It won't be easy, but seems like best choice. Appreciate you 🙏
Oh no. I'm a Filipino-American woman living in the Philippines with my American family. When I was still living in SF (1998-2008), and before moving closer to downtown after I got married, I took the BART to work. During that time, I might see a mentally-troubled person or a homel3ss guy in the underground once in a while. But I guess it's a lot worse now, according to certain sources on the internet. The odd thing was when I asked relatives, who belong to a certain political party, how things are going in SF, they told me it was so bad, called it "tent city by the bay., increased lawlessness, etc. But when I asked other relatives from the opposite political party, they'd say it's fine and dandy, that I just need to avoid a few areas. So, I don't know what's real, and I guess wouldn't know unless I see it for myself.

2024 is an exercise in pain mitigation. I have no idea what the solution is, but I'm pretty sure that it is not demanding that objective reality be whatever my subjective preference is. I wish that I was 6'2". I am 5'9.". Declaring that I am 6'2" does not make me 6'2". Too bad. I acknowledge that I am not the sharpest tool in the shed. Declaring that I have an IQ of 140 does not make it so. Too bad. It seems as though we should all be adult enough to strive to realize our own ideas and life result, without infringing on the ideas and life result of others. And how in the world can rational people arrive at the conclusion that government should be the arbiter of opportunity vs. outcome? We are so sick, as a country, we have literally decided that future discrimination is the remedy for past discrimination. That is, evil must be remedied with ...more evil. And here we are. take care, Jay. -Dave in Cincy
Your IQ sounds pretty high from this message. 😆 I agree this country has lost its mind, but really you give certain people power and nothing I see is really unexpected. Can only hope for the right people to come along and improve things. I won't hold my breath. Appreciate your message. Jay
I couldn’t agree more man I just don’t care about politics. My mindset is only thing that I can control is me waking up in the morning and going to work and taking care of my family. And the only thing I can do is be the best partner I can to my loved ones and that’s it.

That's awesome, brothers taking a journey together ❤️. That's some cool stuff their. It's almost certain you 2 would love the life. Give it time though. It's not easy the first month. Settle in, and start learning some things. 90% percent chance you'll just love your new life. Ky boys usually do. Hope to hear more from you!! Stay in touch. Jay
Sorry to hear about your parents!!
Appreciate you 🙏
Our country just not the same as it was many years ago bro. Did you also read the pinay that was push in Bart train in SF sad.
I raise my hat to you jay😊
Thank you! 😊 appreciate you buddy. Jay
As long as you are with your daughter, she will be fine.
I agree, hope so 🙏. Jay
Violence is everywhere, when I arrived to Php in May 2023, Ozamis was On "Lock down" at nights, a Town Mayor had been murdered. Just have to be aware of your sorroundings....

I was born in the Philippines, immigrated to the USA at age 13. I'm not comfortable traveling in the Philippines, I'm afraid if there is an accident I can't call 911 for help. Growing up as a military brat, and retired USAF, I been in many countries and I prefer USA and Europe.

Just be careful bro..everywhere has danger..even in Philippines. People's behavior now is changing. A lot of factors caused this kind of criminality. Now, we just have to guard our own fence.!
hello Rob! Thanks for the advice, you're right everywhere has its dangers, and staying vigilant is important no matter where you are. We'll definitely keep an eye on things and take care. Appreciate your concern! - jay

Jay
Just a reminder Jay the Philippines is more stricter on owning guns Jay.
Yes, it's a interesting topic. Thanks 👍 😊
Spewing red pills like a Thompson my brother! Highest ranking anon!
Hey Hey Vann! I like my Red pills. lol Appreciate you brother. jay
You’re a heck of a man . I just hope you’re a Trump guy .
😉. You know! Appreciate your comment. Jay
I couldn’t agree more man I just don’t care about politics. My mindset is only thing that I can control is me waking up in the morning and going to work and taking care of my family. And the only thing I can do is be the best partner I can to my loved ones and that’s it.
Yes sir, that's it. Stay strong, protect them and keep trying to improve. Hope your well buddy. Jay
Thanks for deleting my comment!
@@jl909-nr5vx what comment? Hmmm
@@jaysphilippines I trashed the Trump shooter last week ...now it's gone.
@@jl909-nr5vx fu-- the trump shooter, I didn't delete anything. I believe others are allowed to make claim on messages, I was letting a guy have it on mikes philippines retirement about, him- take it easy on the expat bully, treating people like crap, amd I was like, no he needs his wake up call from someone around, 😀 and my message was gone 30 min later. It pissed me off, I un subscribed from mikes channel, lol. Oh I was mad. Was like, so you like the guy who defends the bully, but saying he needs someone to teach him lesson basically, and got deleted. Found out, others can make claim or say they are hurt basically. It wasn't mike. I didn't delete any message. I was about super close to making a trump video, but half my subscribers are filipino, and they alot, dislike him. So I made it. But was Suttle. I didn't say I got choked up for nothing, I got choked up seeing trump walk on stage after all that. Write whatever you want. Within reason. Dislike for the shooter. All day go for it. Someone else must have done it.
@@jl909-nr5vx p.s. I don't really know you well. But Mr. 909 guy is in my top 20 subscribers since we started. Consider you one of my crew. Not my style to delete. If I delete usually I just block from channel.
@@jaysphilippines It's not a big deal. Just thought it was odd. And...I never did subscribe...just have watched since the beginning. I've never subscribed to anyone's channel in the 14 years that I have watched YT....until last month...subscribed to Juell's channel...just to do what little I could to help.

wow i learned alot today.
america is deteriorating.
Yes, it is. It always has been. But the rate has sped up fast lately
Some day Jay, we'll sit down and just.... talk. I'm trying to get out, but bad stuff keeps happening. Seems I get sucked back in. But soon Sir, I'll make my pilgrimage to PH. I've tried to set it up for years, and it's 3 steps forward, 2 3/4 steps back. I hope God's got his hand in this, because I'm not able to do this on my own, this I know.
Hey Robby! I know the feeling. Don't give up, the time will come. I know it is hard, hope it works out. For me, I changed careers, lifestyle, everything. If I had to, I'd teach online, would learn a online tech job something to work in any location. Luckily my shed business allows me travel. But if not, I'd learn coding or something. Lol yes, we will sit down and talk. Don't give up, let me know how things are going. Jay's Philippines on Facebook. Stay safe. Jay
