Thank you for the video. It revived my turbo head. I can't believe how much hair came out of mine! To clean, I used a combination of toothpicks, a long sewing needle, small flathead screwdriver and small exacto knife to cut up clumps of hair. Turbobrush is spinning like a charm. Thanks for saving me $100+
Oh My Word ! I think I love you HAHAHAHA In the last 45 minutes I sent Miele company in Canada a message asking what power head with beater bar I could upgrade to for my C1 powerline canister vacuum ...I use a butter knife or those plastic thingies ..... I don't have the tools you have used there and mine aren't fitting into the tiny holes to get at the head of the screws so will upgrade my tool stash too now hahaha .... I did find the power head on the Canadian Amazon site ... THANK YOU x 1000 ... PS .. I don't see the list of the tools you used
Thank you! It infuriates me these things are so hard to clean!!! Love my miele, but the turbo heads completely don’t work if these smaller inaccessible areas get gunk in them
I have a TK 286, which has a similar mechanism to these older Miele turbo's. I recently took it apart and re-assembled, but it doesn't seem to spin freely with my central vac suction anymore, like there is too much internal friction in the system. I was told NOT to lubricate the bearings, but notice that you used an oil in our video. Can you explain what kind of oil you used? And won't a "wet" lubricate just attract more dirt/dust in the future?
Hey just wondering what you used to get those paint marks off. I have a Miele C1 and it has quite a few scuffs on the canister and floor head and I saw how good that worked. Could you use that same stuff on the canister without damage?
Does the turbo fan blade seem loose in the plastic case that it’s in there seems to be a lot of rattle in mine so I’m not sure if it’s broken and that is why it’s still not spinning or I am missing something still
I am buying the meile c1 or c3 cat and dog from amazon. Should I include the asurion 3 year floor area extended protection plan? Or will I be wasting my money cause these vacuums are that good? Thank you
Do you recommend owners of straight-suction Miele canisters who also each got the turbohead modeled STB 205-3 (or either of its predecessors the STB 205-2 or the just plain STB 205) to get such nozzle replaced with the STB 305-3 if possible?
How much play should the belt have? How do I know if I need to replace it? I just got 4 times as much hair out of my bearings, put it all back together and it still only spins on hardwood and not on any carpet (even on the highest suction setting).
With the availability of battery powered nozzles, I would never suggest using one of these turbo nozzles at all. A battery powered nozzle will not clog the way a turbo nozzle can and it also will not decrease the cleaning power of the vacuum in order to spin the turbine.

Thanks for posting, worked fine

It's pretty easy to service. Just bring it to your local dealer if you feel it's "hard"
@@PerformanceReviews acquired the proper tools today! Firm believer in doing it myself, once, thoroughly, and correctly.

My favourite turbo head 😊
Thanks for watching my friend. Glad to hear it's a favorite of yours.
@@PerformanceReviews No probs, I have a few of these turbo heads and with my favourite canister being the C3, you can’t go wrong 🥰

Hello! I know this video is rather off topic from my question but do you recommend hoover cordless vacuums?
It depends on the model
I am buying the meile c1 or c3 cat and dog from amazon. Should I include the asurion 3 year floor area extended protection plan? Or will I be wasting my money cause these vacuums are that good? Thank you
Go to your local dealer and get a 5 year warranty for free when you buy any homecare model.
@PerformanceReviews Thank You!
@@GreenPh32yes get a homecare model or consider a Sebo they have longer warranty.

Absolutely if it's within the budget. The performance difference is drastic
@@PerformanceReviews Do you think that the STB 305-3 would clean better than the STB 205-3?

You probably need to replace the turbo at that point.
I'm going to give it one last shot with lube. Thanks for your reply!@@PerformanceReviews

Yes battery powered nozzles are better but they are 3 times the price.
What a stupid turbo technology i have to clean it every 5 minutes because of the hair tangled in it just waste of money in my opinion
