I swear you are THE BEST for reviews! Who would have a video completely dedicated to the one issue/rumor I had been hearing through some TH-camrs about this, but Performance Reviews! THANK YOU!
This is exactly what I did. I bought the head that is powered by section, but has a brush, the turbo brush, or something like that, and it works perfectly.
In some models you can also use the suction control on the hose handle but having a turbo brush for you low pile carpet and rugs is the best option for those types of things
I have the C2 compact powerline plus. I have had it for 14 years. Use it everyday in my ome bed apartment. Never had it past the second setting. Best birthday present ever. Thanks mum😊
Hi, just to correct you… that’s not a Steelcase model. It’s the iconic Eames lounge chair, manufactured by Herman Miller. 🙂 (well, the real ones are $$$, a lot of knockoffs exist)
I will say that the u1 is the hardest to push vacuum I have and can’t stand to use it as a “daily driver” so I’m going with vibrance for daily vacuuming
My preference is the electro brush due to the better agitation of a power nozzle over a turbo nozzle and does not chew up the airflow like a turbo nozzle. I don’t mind spending the extra 300 dollars to make sure my carpets are kept clean between steam cleanings.
Can you turn off the electric power brush for hardwood floors? Or do you just raise it high enough so that it doesn’t brush against the floor? Is there a version that automatically turns on and off like some of the push vacuums on the market?
Yes there's a switch at your fingertips on the models with electric power brushes to go to hard floor. However for doing a lot of hard floor they're hard floor tool it's very nice to use. Check out the review on the Miele C3 here th-cam.com/video/HBIr37xF80k/w-d-xo.html
My Miele is a straight suction in fact a Pure Suction. If I was to buy a powernozzle machine it would be a Sebo due to practicality over the long term.
Great videos, very helpful - I hope to purchase my vacuum through one of your links. One question I had - if I have a straight suction Miele, could I possibly simply upgrade the vacuum to electric down the road if need be (to use the powered heads), perhaps by buying an electric wand assembly and any other required parts? Or would I *have* to buy an entirely new vacuum for the powered heads? Edit: I may have found the answer through Amazon's Q&A: 'From Miele . . . "For a S6000/8000 series vacuum . . . With my 4th dyson giving up the ghost, and really not wanting to buy another one, I started researching the hell out of vacuums. In the end, I was going to go with the Sebo D8, but when I called Sebo they said that my particular carpet was best suited to the X7 as the D8 wouldn't work on my extremely dense carpets because the air flow required wouldn't happen. I had decided I didn't want an upright mostly because they seem like a dying breed), and I needed a vacuum cleaner that could do timber floors and carpets. I had heard good things about the Miele c3 cat and dog (literally everyone who has one loves it apparently), so went ahead and bought it today. So far I hate it. It is almost impossible to move over our carpets, and just sucks up the rugs (so 10/10 for suction). I have tried using the handle suction control, and the varying levels of suction on the machine itself. The bag indicator light is on all the time, and the machine gets really hot. I feel it is really off that you have to purchase a head that is 2/3 the price of the machine just to make it work. I will be returning the machine, of course, but I am truly disappointed.
The last part of that doesn't make too much sense. I'd recommend you go to your local dealer and consult with them. Make sure you bought the right machine for your flooring. The most I can make out of it is maybe you bought a C3 in a non-us country? It's really hard to say from that statement but definitely go consult with some local experts and get things straightened out to find the right machine for you.
I guess I watched the wrong videos before buying the C1Classic Turbo with the TurboTeq head. I tried your suggestions, but it’s still to hard to push for older person with back probs. What is the right Miehle for older person, back problems, small apartment w/cats & allergies. 2 rooms wall to wall carpet & hard floor in kitchen?
Anytime I read reviews I see this complaint a lot even with models that include a turbobrush. I think some people can't be bothered to change the head. Or don't know there are different heads for different surfaces. The Miele ecoteq head that I have with my blizzard is still a workout even on the lowest power setting.
Hi, came across with this video. I have a Miele and have used it on my carpets for years. My 80% wool twist carpets are ok but my 50% wool loop pile new carpets start to have pilling/ fuzz and I realised the Miele’s brush head might be guilty. I know Sebo has a delicate version for loop pile carpets but if I want to keep my miele, will this turbo head you mentioned be ok or should i look for a particular type? Many thanks
Hey man, how would a Turboteq SB 305 on the Miele C3 work for a wall to wall carpeted one level house with low to medium pile carpet? One short haired dog and three clean adults. Unfortunately powerheads aren't a thing in my country so airdriven belts are the only option for canister vacuums! You mentioned 1-2 rooms it should be fine but I just hate having to manhandle my straight suction C1 like you showed in the video around the house.
I use that one and it works great. I have 4 rabbits and it gets ALL their hair out of the carpet. If its tough to push just turn the suction down a bit.
Well.. I want the electric nozzle but they don't sell it here (ANZ). So I got that straight suction model and honestly it's not good for carpet or hardwood. Carpet hard to push (as shown here) and hardfloor same problem + it feels like it will end up scratching. I think I need to add the dedicated hardfloor tool and turbo... then the tool it came with is useless. Maybe Miele will let me trade it in?
Agree the newer style Allteq combi nozzle with the plastic base plate is terrible on all surfaces. On hard floors, i feel the brush is too short and dirt gets stuck in between the head and floor, scratching it. I bought the Parquet Twister and it's been a revelation. It's just so good on hard floors, it's an absolute joy to use. And I use a turbo head on rugs and all is well with the world
this is what Im suffering from, I have Miele and it comes with that carpet brush which is very hard to push, I wonder if Turbo brush head will be the solution ? Do you advice me to buy ( Miele turbo brush STB 305-3) ?
I have the Miele Classic C1 graphite gray vacuum and I have not only a problem on the rug but also on bare floors although not as bad even when the switch on the vacuum is in the right position. I have carpal tunnel and it feels worse after every time I vacuum even when I have the air flow at its lowest. Is there any way to correct this problem?
Do you know why in Australia the cat and dog c3 doesn’t come with electro brush comparability and Only come with turbo brush ? Are the turbo heads inferior to electro ?
@@PerformanceReviewsyou did? I only see you recommending the turbohead “unless you have 5 dogs or a large house”. I didn’t hear where you said the turbohead won’t work on tall pile carpets or carpets with a sealed backing.
