Thank you for this! I spent a good deal of time trying to separate the two parts of the case before finding this video. I never would have found those four screws hiding behind the wheels. Without this video I probably would have tried to pry the case apart and broken it. My turbo brush is now back in action.
I took apart my Wessel-Werk TK286 with this video 😁 ive only had it for 10 months but every moving part was mummified in dog hair... At the end, the brush head bearings didnt want to pop into place. I put it back together anyway and after a few minutes of vacuuming it seemed to fix itself 🤷♀️ thanks for the video!!
Thanks for an excellent video. I vibration suddenly appeared in my TurboTeQ and I couldn't have fixed it without this. Turned out to be a tiny piece of solder had lodged itself in between two teeth of the turbo brush drive gear.
On the Miele, The solution I came up with for getting the front parts separated: Slip a couple butterknifes vertically in the seam between the black plastic and the clear plastic. Pry open. Later cut the top edge of the holes in the black plastic. That eliminates the mating of the tab in the clear plastic with the black frame. The screws will hold it all together.
Thank you for doing what you do,I wouldn't have looked under the wheels,I use every day in a professional environment, I could do previous models but your guide was tremendous help
Are there any turbine head attachments comparable to this that have removable brushes? I loved mine but it gets hair wraped around it often due to a few family members that have long hair.
Thnaks very much for making this video and I found it very easy to follow and camera was in very good position to make it easy to see what you are doing
Thanks for the video. I have the STB 305-3 and I am having trouble separating the plastic casing where it clips in with the clear window. I’ve tried as you said to clean the area with a toothbrush. I’m applying a lot of force and worried about it snapping. Any other tips for prying the housing apart?
These are great turbo nozzles and better than those cheap vacuum power nozzles from low end and some midrange canister vacuums that use a cheap light duty dc motor similar to a hair dryer fan motor to drive the beater bars. Power nozzles that use a heavy duty universal motor 150 watts or higher are pretty much the best you can get for a power nozzle and can go through shag and even high density carpet like hot knife through butter.
Thank you so much for the video, was so helpful! The Miele STB305-3 brush is awesome when it works, so I had to get rid of the hair inside(it didn't rotate anymore). It's a pain to open it (3:44), really bad system(those clips) for such an expensive brush. I can't buy another one or go to service twice a year to clean it....
The clipsecome apart really easy once you clean them with a toothbrush. Really I have found with my testing of this cutting the hair off the brush every other time you use it seems to make a big difference.
I am wondering how to get the tiny screws out without stripping the head. They are not a regular phillips or flat head. you said T10? Is that the size needed or the type of screwdriver? You mentioned only needing to take this apart 3 times-ish for the brush lifespan, yet so much hair accumulates in only a few times used..
@@PerformanceReviews ok thanks might as well get the proper one then thanks .. I have a shag pile carpet I really need a powered turbo head vacuum cleaner .. I used to have the Electrolux twin clean with electronic power head if you remember those it was great .. if you have any recommendations for shag pile I’d appreciate thanks Di
Great video! I need a new one of those gray pivot arms that pop onto the ends of the brush. Do you know where I can buy a set? One metal post in my brush roll had hair wrapped around it so tight (house of long-haired women) that it gouged and wore down one side of the hole inside the arm which is now off-center and the arm doesn't spin freely on the end of the brush and vice versa. I emailed Wessel-Werk USA and am really hoping they can help me out with this part... 🙏🙏
I’d like to see you use this turbonozzle with a Eureka Mighty Might or Sanitaire Extend vacuum to illustrate that people on strict budgets with apartments and young people just starting out who haven’t hit their earnings stride yet can attain an affordable canister setup.
Do you recommend a wessel work power head for a central vac system? If so what one? We do have a central vacuum system but I don't use it so much because the power head doesn't really do such a great job. Thanks
any tips on how to pry it open after taking the screws off? the front part of the head seems impossible to to remove without breaking it - the clips dont seem to move. the video skips over it at 3:48 the exact point where i was here for :(
@@PerformanceReviews The clips are tough to get at - are you prying from inside the housing, or from the outside? BTW - you got me to the 5 yard line. Great video. Thank you
Do you know why my bag indicator became red, on the C3 cat/dog, at first use, when i connected this stb 305-3 turboteq? Am i using it on a too high setting?
The bag check indicator is only accurate when only the hose is attached. It's discussed in detail in this video. th-cam.com/video/w_8Dj4u1QhU/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for posting these instrutional videos. Is there a video for the Miele TurboTeQ (the recent redisigned head) the title says this includes it but its only for the Wessel.

Glad it was useful! Thanks for watching.
3:49 you completely skip the clip release, which is the biggest pain of this whole disassembly.
most seem to skip this part. Very irritating. I can't get it to come apart, feels like it will break.
Best video I have found on disassembly and cleaning of the STB305
The level of your work and attention to detail is impressive. Best vacuum channel on youtube by far!
I definitely needed this, you saved me a lot of time and effort trying to figure out where the screws were.
Saved me 160 bucks thanks so much!
That was fantastic, I have now repaired the head and is running like new again. Great video.
Are there any turbine head attachments comparable to this that have removable brushes? I loved mine but it gets hair wraped around it often due to a few family members that have long hair.
Excellent video. Easy to follow. My turbo head is now working excellent and I have no practical skills. Thank you
Thanks... Great video.
Mine is vibrating harshly after hair removal. Do you think a bearing had gone?
Thnaks very much for making this video and I found it very easy to follow and camera was in very good position to make it easy to see what you are doing
Your Video resurrected my machine. The bearing were completely full of hair and once I removed it, it purred like it was new.

Would you say the Wessel turbo TK286 Premium 35mm For Carpet/Floor Vacuum Cleaner Brush Head Tool is better than the Miele turbo head ? Thanks
It's literally the turbo nozzle manufacturer for Miele. However 35 mm will not fit a Miele. Miele uses 34mm. The Miele part is STB305

Another great video as always
Q: On the TDB285...can the stiff black elliptical brush and the 2 felt strips be replaced?

Definitely check out the patreon Page
Thank you thank you!
Is this nozzle better than any of the other previous Wessel Werk Turbohead models as well as the TurboCat's?
I would say it's about on par with the turbo cat but it doesn't rob as much power from the machine.

Yes.

Yes it would fit on the end but your vacuum came with an electric brush which is better

They're exactly the same minus the knob and marking
These are so quiet lol 😂
