Thanks Lee for a super video lesson. I really liked the way the different hooks were employed, the tidiness and realistic look of the baits when rigged.
Awesome content can you do a video on kingfish baits in particular squid strips rigging and how to slow troll them thanks I can’t find any info on this
Great info on bait rigging 👍and thanks for helping me select snapper rod at anaconda, ending up getting 2 and put the oc 6000 on them ,what line do u think to use 20 lb mono !!!
Great vid thanks! What are your thoughts on rigging pillies for mulloway / jewfish in the surf? Heat or tail out? I've heard some say mulloway eat the pillies tail first, do you have any intel on this?
Thanks for this information. I found it very helpful, but need a bit more info on the various hook sizes you recommend for the methods you showed. I buy all my tackle online, hence don't have a good sense of size number to physical size of the hook. I don't want to end up with a bunch of wrong sized hooks. I am happy to get a range of sizes, but need your guidance. In particular the circle hooks and ganged hooks. Nige from Sydney
Hi Nige. I’d suggest 4/0-5/0 ganged hooks. As for the circles if your using say a gamakatsu octopus circle I would go with 4/0-5/0 sizes. Hope this helps mate.
Is "bait thread" worth using to hold the bait intact? My concern is that not good for the fish if it eats the bait and escapes capture, plus probably not good for the environment. Nige from Granville
One of the best pilchard rigging video out there 👍🏼
Wow, thanks!

I'm surprised no-one uses ghost cotton, its great for securing the pilchard, specially if it's fresh rather than salted. ... btw, lovely instructions
Thanks for the feedback. And your definitely right - I forgot about the ghost cotton 🤦♂️
Glad you enjoyed the vid.

Hi nige.
Bait thread is handy but I don’t tend to use it myself unless the pillows are bad quality and super soft. - for all the reasons you say too
A pilchard is a pilchard a sardine is a sardine.two different fish.i should know I used to catch and eat both.😊
