Hi lee where do you get those star sinker clips from. Been surf fishing my whole life and never seen them. Anything to gain distance is key.what are they called
Your rod holders are they home made, do you ever do drone fishing ive gotten into drone casting my gear using the aeroo pro bait drone, some nice reds you got
Hey Lee! Does leader size affect snapper off the surf in your opinion? Just wouldn’t want to lose a bi-catch of a big gummy… but “go light get the bite” has been my motto 😂
Yeah that’s a tough one mate but I’m the same as you - light leaders get the bite but you don’t want to lose the big one. On that trip I was using 50lb hoping for not too heavy but then still tough enough if something bite ate the bait
catching fish from the beach is the best!
Hey Lee,
Are you using any wind on leader?
I am really interested in how you are setting up this part of your rig 😊
I’m not using a wind on with Dacron join
Just a length about 8ft of leader with an FG knot
90 mile beach is Victoria but 3-4 hours from Melbourne

Yeah mate Kev’s ones are home made
I haven’t used the drone to get baits out but it would be definitely a good way to do it

Hey Lee is that in Victoria ?
Yeah mate it’s 90 mile beach in Gippsland
Ya not wrong. The Gippsland beaches are often long and very flat.
Definitely makes it hard to find a really good looking area
what part of the 90 mile is it
Golden beach mate
