    hi nick i think when Everton leave Goodison they'll ask Liverpool if they would be willing to play a farewell friendly and knowing LFC they'll agree and the stadium could be opened up hrs before kick off and close well after the game with the players coming out and mingle with fans of both clubs on the pitch making it a whole day party atmosphere

    As I said on a previous video, I fully believe that the seating area will be completed and open for the first match - they will be making that the main priority. Any delays will be to the hospitality areas in my opinion. So open to full capacity from the 1st home game and the facilities as and when they are finished.

    This is a huge construction project. If it takes another month to complete then so be it. You certainly want them to do it right and not rush. As for the season schedule, I’m sure there are many contingency plans in the works with the EPL. Perhaps the good people of Everton could make Goodison available for a couple of matches when the blues are away. Or just switch the home and home dates on the schedule. These things happen and everyone needs to be flexible.

    Mr Drone if they are going to be a month behind ,last week they stopped putting many workers on site and reduced the numbers ,some days it is so quiet and for god sake how long does it take to finish the roof there is so much brick work to do do they only have a hand full of brickies .all the columns to be finished and both ends of the stadium .My point is you can see this like a sore thumb so why do they only do half a job like painting the steels nothing ever gets finished ,i have been watching these videos from the start so much time wasting and workers just sitting around ,like the small triangle which links the anfield road to the main stand still not finished and they have been working on this for over 4 weeks .the cladding has to be finished under the new see through roof and the flood light fitted ,but the under roof over the new seats need to be finished so the scaffolding will have to go all the way along the new fitted concrete to fit the new roof ,this is before they can fit the new seat on the upper tier.When they do fit the new sets why have they not fitted the new seat from end to end all the seats you see in the new stand are only in the middle of the rows of the seats ,do not know who is conducting this build but they need a rocket up there arse .i have heard 1.5 million a week penalty clauses .Is the main reason they can not afford to pay the workers that would be needed to finish the build on time.like more brickies and painters for a start it is a joke.

    Great content Nick, regarding the delay if you think back to when the main stand was done the seating for the stand was all complete it was just the hospitality and the new dressing rooms that where behind schedule. That was all finished about 6 months later so the stand was officially open but just not finished. Hopefully this will be the case this time.
    With regards to the Kop looking at the pic you put up I like the idea of going over the road but we are still gonna need to knock down the church and the pub to make it as big as possible or its just pointless to make a small increase.

    Great video as always Nick. It sucks that the project is potentially going to be delayed. I thought that the good weather might’ve helped but I guess delays that occur at anytime regardless of the weather.
    Although I’m a Red, I can see what you mean about being unable to do much with Goodson. Apart from the Park End Stand there is no real room for expansion sadly, whereas Anfield Stadium has that option (even though Kemlyn Road and Lothair Road have disappeared below the Sir Kenny Dalglish and Main Stands). Hopefully Bradley Moore will be a good place for EFC (as long as you don’t usurp LFC in the table! 😉)

  • @barrypegg3070
    @barrypegg3070 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Buckingham and the club will have been talking about any delays for a while, it’s most probably they have confirmed the final delay. You can’t just been on programme one day and the next day a month behind programme. Usually, both sides will be looking to discuss and agree delays and extensions of time to the contract on monthly basis. Suspect they will be looking at what work has to be done to open stand and what can happen after this. For example you will need safe access through stand but don’t need landscaping of Anfield Road complete.

    Hi Nick, that illustration you were sent first surfaced 4 or 5 years ago, the guy who posted it has his own YT channel and comes up with a lot of weird and whacky ideas on how the stadium could be expanded none of which are practical or will ever happen for a multitude of reasons. The club have no immediate plans for the Kop but might well have done some feasibility studies in conjunction with KSS and the city council. (KSS by the way are the architects who designed the main stand, the Anfield Road expansion, the Axa training complex and academy as well as the club shop) Something you might not know is that it was their American parent company that deigned your Bramley Moore Dock stadium. All the work they do for LFC however has been through their UK based division. All the information being released by the club suggests that the next phase of what they refer to as further stadium upgrades will focus on the SKD stand but that will be a total refurbishment and not a significant expansion. We definitely won't be buying up or demolishing those properties on Skerries Road, that's simply not going to happen mate and quite rightly so.

  • @trigjosh
    @trigjosh ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi NIck, thanks for the clip again. The picture that you've been sent that you showed at 12.05, is quite old, I think somebody has clipped this image from a TH-cam clip called Anfield Phases 3 & 4, or something similar. It's a very good idea, because the footprint of The Kop cannot be expanded because of Walton Breck Rd, joining the S.K.D. and The Kop is a good way to increase capacity, though I reckon that will only increase by 1 or 2 thousand, maybe, if that? And for what expansion of the S.K.D. that this design will allow, I can't see F.S.G., or Liverpool funding it. Really a worthwhile expansion would need properties on Skerries Rd demolishing, and Walton-Breck-Road re-routing. So I can't see it happening any time soon. Re: what you said about the corner of the Main Stand and the A.R. stand remaining open, I don't think that's right. On looking at plans for phase 2, both the Anfield Rd corners of respective stands are going to be enclosed with grey-panelling. (unless plans have changed or you know any different). But I can't see why they wouldn't be enclosed, for security purposes, and playing conditions. But, if you look at it, The Anfield Rd stand is not The Anfield Rd stand design, somebody has just mirrored The Main Stand, and altered it's dimensions. Looks fan-made to me, by somebody with some art program skills.

  • @vixenwarrior2871

    Extra expansion to Anfield would hinge on if and when the public transport issues are solved. As in train line under 3/4 of a mile away from the stadium or a mersay rail sub type station close by. As the curent situations is going to be very stressed with the 60 ish k from the stadium once this phase is done. Maybe things change when Everton move to the docks. But as of yet the transport part needs adressing before anything is looked at for further expansion

    Its going to cause a bit of a headache for LFC if the stand is delayed, you've got to consider the fact that you've got season ticket holders in the new upper tier as well as away fans being moved to the furthest two blocks next to the main stand as well in the upper too, so its going to cause some issues.
    i think the most likely outcome is that games will end up being reversed, so I suspect the Bournemouth and Villa games will most likely end up being played away, so it gives them until 23 Sep to get everything done.

      100%. Said this from the start of the redevelopment. We are now hemmed in. There is no future development for the kop etc.

    if its true and they are behind then all effort should be put into making sure the lower tier is ready to go for whenever the first game is played.

    hi nick if the delay is true then where are LFC going to put the away fans because of the seats in the rest of the stadium are taken up of LFC season ticket holders and general sales to the LFC supporters, and they can't restrict the tickets to their own supporters as they are priority in home game which applies to all clubs, the only way round this is asking the premier league to switch a months games to away and hope the opposition clubs entertain the idea

    Got a different question, wouldn’t be possible cause of what Everton want the stadium for, but as an Everton fan: would you have ground shared Anfield with Liverpool for 3 seasons whilst goodison is demolished and rebuilt in the same place?

    • @brucegarethgeorge
      @brucegarethgeorge ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are already building a new stadium so that won't happen. Maybe there can be a ground share with Everton and Liverpool ladies.

    i do not get if they are so far behind why stop 24 hr work? why not increase work crews and go back to 24 hr work? surely for a project of this size and the nature of the project this has to be a very high profile job that they are not delivering on time which is not exactly great publicity for the construction company.

  • @saulsolomon4396

    Why did they stop working 24x7 if behind? Can't get workers?
    Cannot see spending what it would cost to do the Kop like your illustration as the cost/benefit wouldn't make sense and footy is ALL about money these days.

    Is it me or do the contractors not seem to start and finish anything, seems completely random approach, especially the roof and cladding, brickwork also completely random starting half way up etc. would just seem better to me to start and finish full sections 🤷‍♂️
