@@Dunning-Krugereffect because its so technical it is hard to control the weight at PR's and theres an element of "luck". probably a bad way to word it. but if the snatch ends at the perfect position then it gets alot easier. so doing multiple PR tries on something like a snatch does work. e.g first few snatch u catch it at a bad position (b/c its hard to control weight near pr). something like a deadlift or squat is much more pure strength so after u exhaust your energy supply or fatigue then its game over making it unlikely to hit a pr after failing once or twice
@VPN Rocks theres like varying degrees and varies with sports. even world class athletes have missed their openers which SHOULD be a weight they always hit. and do you think everyone can replicate their world record lift? some times its just the stars aligned for 1 of the athlete to do better. i do powerlifting (4fun). would i b able to lift 5 plates everyday? probably not. i have hit it twice out of like 4 or 5 tries. i sometimes honestly miss even 205kg on my top set but i still consider my PR the 220. it all depends on the person what they consider a PR;especially a gym one but i definitely don't consider a PR something with 100% success rate.

you can grunt when it actually gets physically taxing but that's up to the individual. They may train their metabolic stress doing dropsets and the last set is 15lb for 30 reps . Trust me this shit can burn hotter than the sun if done right

And they seem to be a bit dazzled that someone can do all those things. But even if... do they realize that 2 meters next to their quarter squat, some dude is displaying elite level feats which otherwise they only get to see in competitions like the Olympics London 2012? Snatch is such a weird lift. When I do it, I’ll get a decent lift (nowhere near this weight obviously) I’ll add 5kg to the previous lift that I’ve just done and all of a sudden the bar feels like it’s an Eddie Hall deadlift weight and I can barley pull it to my hips 🤷♂️

Im sorry, ive watched sooooo many gym vids, sooo many, i mean, literally, so many gym vids, of people doing obviously gym shit. But this guy, theres something, magestic, humble, and fearfully strong about this guy, he doesnt even look it at all, none of all this bullshit cut/striations, no bullshit over toned muscles, suckled skin, and yet, he clears weight, i see even the BIGGEST of freaks, just...struggle with. But my point to this vid alone, was, i think ive watched this like 12 times now - the fact that he managed to stop, and grab the attention of the entire room, was incredible man, honestly, good luck on your journey my friend.

If u do 100kg for 12rep i think u can max a 170kg. Becoz i do the 100kg about 15/16 rep and my max is 191,5kg

Hes on cycle. Olympic lifters cut gears at least two weeks before the show. So, it makes no sense to compare them.
