      @Tera Calistenia Snatches are incredibly difficult and you have FAR less control over the weight vs deadlifts or squats.

    • @x2lazy2die
      @x2lazy2die 3 ปีที่แล้ว +67

      @@Dunning-Krugereffect because its so technical it is hard to control the weight at PR's and theres an element of "luck". probably a bad way to word it. but if the snatch ends at the perfect position then it gets alot easier. so doing multiple PR tries on something like a snatch does work. e.g first few snatch u catch it at a bad position (b/c its hard to control weight near pr). something like a deadlift or squat is much more pure strength so after u exhaust your energy supply or fatigue then its game over making it unlikely to hit a pr after failing once or twice

    • @x2lazy2die
      @x2lazy2die 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @VPN Rocks theres like varying degrees and varies with sports. even world class athletes have missed their openers which SHOULD be a weight they always hit. and do you think everyone can replicate their world record lift? some times its just the stars aligned for 1 of the athlete to do better. i do powerlifting (4fun). would i b able to lift 5 plates everyday? probably not. i have hit it twice out of like 4 or 5 tries. i sometimes honestly miss even 205kg on my top set but i still consider my PR the 220.
      it all depends on the person what they consider a PR;especially a gym one but i definitely don't consider a PR something with 100% success rate.

    Do they even realize? I mean, sure in the times of Internet, you could know who this guy is who is moving insane amounts of weights just next to you. And they seem to be a bit dazzled that someone can do all those things. But even if... do they realize that 2 meters next to their quarter squat, some dude is displaying elite level feats which otherwise they only get to see in competitions like the Olympics London 2012? Sometimes, you just must feel that youre in the presence of a master...
