Other than I don't give a single fuck about South Africans as I detest their accent and attitude. Elon Musk doesn't have either, hence I like the guy.
Harry Enfield is a legend, please can you watch at some point his 'Women, know your limits' sketch? It is amazing!

That is one of my favourites!
I love that sketch for so many reasons, but mostly it's to see if someone is worth speaking to. If a person is offended by that sketch then they have missed the point. They think it's sexist when it's absolutely the opposite.
There are some very good old-fashioned public information film parodies (with or without Mr Greyson and Mr Cholmondley-Warner) including Women for pity's sake Don't Drive. But the best one IMHO is the one about how babies are made.

Very funny and Harry's South African accent was pretty spot on.
From a time when mocking white South Africans was acceptable (cf: Caroline Aherne as 'South African Beauty Consultant' and the 'Air Aifrikaans' cabin crew from the show 'Beehive', and the unforgettable Spitting Image song, "I've Never Met A Nice South African".)

British comedy of the 70s 80s and 90s was some of the best in the world and your facial expressions just go to show what great eras they were, well done Amanda

Thank you for showing this as it's not one I've seen before. It's interesting that they chose to give the Pharmacist a South African accent but it goes with him being very forthright. It really is clever as we've all been there - going to the pharmacy to collect or buy something that is a little embarrassing and we don't want the world to know about it.

As far as I know this one skit took all day with something like 17 to 20 retakes as the crew couldn't keep it together when working with Harry

Back in the 80s, I was in a doctor's waiting room when the elderly dragon of a receptionist answered the phone. After taking and repeating the caller's name and date of birth she said 'Yes Miss Jones, the blood test was positive. You are indeed pregnant'. We all just looked down, wide eyed.
The receptionists at my doctor's are lovely, but one of them has a very loud voice and probably tells everyone in the waiting room of patients' problems albeit unintentionally.
I fear that many Americans will not quite 'get' the contemptuous way in which our Afrikaaner pharmacist treats his Indian assistant (even if she was born in Britain)!

Harry Enfield has created a lot of really funny characters and put them in great situation, some of the best was with Kathy Burke as the Slobs, try them, there are quite a few on TH-cam, they will make you laugh.
Kevin & Perry, the one where Perry has just come back from an Oasis concert...trying to speak all northern like 😂.
Harry Enfield is a great British comedy actor and SO creative.

Amanda, a beautiful rich voice even for an American accent, I would love to know why a very attractive female would adorn herself with so many tattoos.
From my perspective, I like to imagine an attractive female in all her natural glory, tattoos, for me take those imaginings away.
Each to their own but I think tattoos look awful, especially on women.

I think Harry Enfield made the chemist character a white South African Boer/Afrikaner is because they say what's on their mind and right in your face too regardless of who is around. Genius.
I love Harry. My favourite sketches he did were the Chalmondley Warner info films, especially the Women dont drive, Women know your place and the Arsenal of 1933 vs Liverpool of 1991.

Your reactions are just as entertaining as the sketches.
The funniest bit which you may have missed is the use of the Sth African English accent. Hence the yelling at Meena and the abrupt manner of speaking. All much satirised characteristics of Sth African (or Rhodesian now Zimbabwean) migrants to other commonwealth countries, like England, Australia, Canada etc. it’s probably not really obvious to Americans or non commonwealth countries
"The Yorkshire Man"!! Where Harry shows all the stereotypes of people from Yorkshire, which a large geographical area of Northern England! 😂

That was excellent. Harry Enfield has been on tv for a long time. Started with Stavros, a greek guy that worked on a burger van, and Loads'a'money, an arrogant chad that had loads of money. Happy bumming peeps.
