@@slappy8941 I think the script with her in it was great, she adds to the spectrum of human behaviour if you know what I mean... without her it would just be pure action movie where every character is a soldier with soldier mindset and soldier skills and soldier behaviour, with her in it, you get to see young bright FBI agent Kate Macer leading FBI HRT team to raid a certain house, where they discover some f*cked up horror scene, when being asked if she wants to catch those responsible she says yes and suddenly she's being used by the CIA as a operation's cover in case someone ask questions afterwards meanwhile CIA is not interested in catching the bad guys at all, what they want is to help Colombia's cartel to regain worldwide domination in drug business, so they are eliminating rival cartel in Mexico. Matt was the one who "really just added unnecessary complication for no particular reason." I'm pretty sure if he would've told her that he is CIA and x y is their actual objective, she would agree (maybe not Alejandro's cold blooded revenge, but the bigger picture is reasonable enough) It's the lies, deception and the dark cloud she was in that made it complicated.

See the Blackout, with Dennis Hopper.
