Anyone with a combat veteran in the family knows that wake up senario! My brother-in-law told me to only wake him up by shaking his foot if he was having a bad one!
Matt’s interaction with Alejandro is also pretty interesting. He is constantly smiling when Alejandro hurts or puts someone down. Obviously we know from the second film that he trained or facilitated the training of Alejandro but to see him smile almost evokes pride in how efficient and brutal Alejandro has become.
Cause he gets to do all the things Matt wished he could do! Our government wants them to take down some of the worst humans walking this rock. You can’t do that with gloves on!
He was never a good man, he worked for them, killed for them, then they turned on him and he did what he’s always done. Spread misery and death. That’s the point of the movie. There are no good guys and bad guys, they’ll all bad.
@@warrenb8228 Alejandro was a prosecutor in Mexico in Juarez. He worked against the Cartels legally until they murdered his family. Then he went to war with them...along that path he met Matt from the CIA who saw in him a perfect weapon.

He does take special interest in Kate. Kate was too big of a reliability which is why Alejandro personally took care of her himself. If he didn’t, anyone else would’ve killed her the moment she didn’t sign the document. “You remind me of my daughter.”
I wonder how many people directly affected by cartel violence got to live vicariously through Alejandro. I had creepy, weird, scary, white noise nightmares when I was a kid. Like I was trapped and helpless on an endless, featureless, flat plain. And there was something huge and bad out there! And the white noise was so loud, like an old TV with no signal at max volume with a screen of snow and static. I literally watched this again last night. She plays such an unlikable character. Know it all who clearly knows nothing about the realities of this war.
She’s the villain of the movie…naive and cowardly hiding behind “the rules” in a land of wolves willing to allow the continuation of evil on every level bc she refuses to see reality/ the truth.
@@2410manchesterLabelling her as a villain is a massive reach. I think you're projecting, and not actually seeing things as they are. Just because you disagree or dislike the way she does things doesn't instantly categorise her as a villain.

I like how we’re let in on the nightmare with the faded screams of his wife and daughter.
I never noticed that small detail
Didn’t notice that either
Short as it is, one of the best scenes in the film. Tells you so much about him in such a subtle way.
We don’t know that yet which is also why some films are an AMAZING rewatch
This is the first time I’m hearing the screams, haunting as fuck, excellent spot 👍🏻
The wake up scene on the plane what pure acting gold! Wow
I think Kate needed to change her shorts after that! Hell, it wouldn’t scared me too!
The original screen write actually shows what his dream is, but was scratched before filming

No doubt and the dude hasn’t aged in 30yrs!
"You're asking me how a watch works, for now let's keep the time" is my go to response when I don't want to explain myself to people from now on. lol.
Add in "I have to return some video tapes" to finish off a boring conversation as well and you've hacked life 😂

Well yeah. CIA is the best at it
When a man with a special set of skills has nothing left to lose..
A man who saves lives, a man who fights for justice, a man who builds. One wrong move and he ends lives, fights for vengeance, and destroys.
Alejandro is what happens when you take the soul out of a good man and leave only the darkest part of his heart that craves vengeance.

“For me it is… Time to meet God..”
Benico would be a really cool hitman in his own film.that would be worth a watch.
This is his own film. Its just not from his perspective. The whole movie is about the cartel killing his family and him going on a revenge spree.
Watch The Hunted with Del Toro and Tommy Lee Jones.
If only he had infinity stones
Sicario 3 please... 🎉
Its coming!hasnt been ready to film yet cause theres no director;(
On if Denis Villeneuve comes back

How did a lawyer become a cia hitman?
Worse, Cartel hitman from one of the groups on "friendly" terms with the CIA, old Medellin Cartel.
The cartel killed his family in a bad way .
