On this 'Strip Panel Naked', I take a look at Rick Remender, Wes Craig, Lee Loughridge and Clayton Cowles' Deadly Class, and how they cleverly use colour and very small details as framing devices through the story. By using specific colours for locations, they create identifiers for those locations, which means backgrounds can be dropped without losing a key sense of place.
All that a little more on this week's episode!

Great video, man! I gotta give Deadly Class another chance since it didn't hook me much when I first read it. Keep up the great work, I'm loving your channel. Also, I'd love to see a video on Ales Kot's Zero and maybe Alan Moore's Swamp Thing. Or any other Alan Moore work, really.

Lucas Barcellos So coming soon is a set of Creators Edition episodes with Tradd Moore, and we talk a bit about the issue of Zero he did, so we'll cover a bit of it there!

Great video!! love the way you break it down. I've been a deadly class fan since #1 dropped and I love the fast paced action mixed with the interment scene, would be great if you shown the character building side as well and the love triangles and the teen drama ha

Can you do an episode about misdirection to catch readers off guard?

MakubexIsVik There's a bit of that coming up in next week's episode actually, and it gets touched upon a bit on the Sabrina Horror episode as well, but it's a good point to focus an episode on for sure. I'll make a note and see what I can find. Did you have a specific example in mind of something?

    More content in your videos!
I love your vids so much, but you can cut these 2 pages down from 6 mins into 2 mins easy, and explore different examples! Even in the same book, I know there's tons of them! Just some friendly advice :)

Charlie Rippel Thanks for checking them out!
I like to try and delve into them a little more and keep it primarily about one thing. Just my personal preference really. I end up talking about some other things in the issues on Patreon, but for the episodes my goal is to try and look at a particular detail in-depth as much as possible. Hopefully they're more kind of mini-essays on a particular device, that's the aim anyway!

I do love your attention to detail, you made me notice things I would've never even given a second glance. Whatever works for you bro! I'm gonna watch your vids no matter what!
