All week this programme has been investigating Mr Banks's businesses in Southern Africa.
Tonight we have an extraordinary account of Mr Banks's activities worthy of fiction, but with many elements of fact. This was given to the South African police by his former business partner who alleges Mr Banks was trying to cut diamond deals with Russia. That he attempted to take control of the diamond trade in Lesotho. And incredibly that he discussed training a group of "mercenaries" to help a chosen poltician "if need be".
The documents and emails seen by this programme are in the hands of the South African police - who have confirmed they are carrying out an investigation.
When we put all these allegations to Arron Banks he failed to respond to any of them in detail and described them as "ludicrous". He then had them published in full online.
Our foreign affairs correspondent Jonathan Rugman has this exclusive report.

Can you just buy a tract of land, then use it to launder Blood Diamonds or would Industry regulation stop people doing that? If you spread the money around think it would work.

Basically a civil legal case in South Africa between two businessmen, I have never seen C4 cover South African High Court cases previously.

Can I just say this - I've read all the comments on this news feed, and I salute you for standing up to the idiots and being a voice of reason. Corruption like this (which will hopefully be proven in court - I am a fair person) deserves to be highlighted.

Isn't it a little odd that Banks seems to have raised money for this diamond mine - and the threw the money into Brexit - and nobody has done what normal investors or lenders would do in this situation ...
